How to get to Crimea
How to get to Crimea cheaply by bus?
You cannot buy a ticket for a bus as much in advance as for a train, and this is an important drawback especially for those who are used to planning everything in advance.
Practice shows that the cheapest way to get to Crimea is by purchasing tickets not for regular buses at the bus station, but by finding private carriers. But the main risk here is that in the absence of the required number of people, the car often does not leave. That is, this method will not work if vouchers have already been purchased for specific dates.
That is, it is better to purchase a bus ticket to Crimea centrally and in advance
But if the vacation is not scheduled for specific dates and this is not fundamentally important, then you can give preference to a private carrier
The advantage of traveling to Crimea by bus is speed and comparative cheapness. You can get there by bus very quickly, without long stops. However, this method is often less preferable for families with small children who may get motion sickness on the road. Also, if you need to travel from afar, it will not be very convenient in terms of sleep: on the train this can be done much easier. Another important disadvantage of bus transportation is that this way you won’t be able to take a lot of luggage with you.
Conclusion: traveling to Crimea by bus is an excellent option for young people or people traveling for a short time.
How to get to Crimea
Let's fly to Crimea by plane! When is the best time to buy a ticket to save money?
In total, about 20 companies offer flights from mainland Russia to Simferopol. Each of them has its pros and cons. You should focus primarily on those proposals that are outlined for a specific locality. Often, 3-4 flights are offered from each airport to Simferopol.
The cost of an air ticket to Crimea depends on many factors. If the tickets are last minute, they are cheaper. But this method is suitable only for easy-going people, and also if there is no preliminary hotel reservation for the exact date. Otherwise, the price will be lower for flights with transfers, but this is not a very convenient option.
Comfort remains the primary factor. But, as practice shows, even in economy class you can fly quite comfortably. Moreover, often the journey does not take that much time.
You should only take into account the fact that in any case you will need to travel from Simferopol by bus or taxi to your final destination.
This method is very convenient, but is not suitable for those who have too many things. If we consider the risks (this is why many people avoid planes), then according to statistics they are very small and no more than when traveling by train or own car.
For residents of remote regions, for example, Moscow, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, this is the only possible way to get to Crimea, since they cannot spend a lot of time traveling by train or by car.

In general, everything looks great, but there is one small nuance, or rather two. The first one is the queue. It is always huge, so you will have to wait a lot of time on the shore of the strait. The second interesting point is the weather conditions. Strong waves or fog - the crossing does not work. So at this point you should be patient and wait. Otherwise, the road will not be particularly difficult.

Single ticket to Crimea transfer
You can get to the larger cities of Crimea - Sudak, Yalta, Simferopol, etc. using a “single ticket” from Russian Railways, which includes a train ticket to Anapa or Krasnodar and a bus ticket to the desired city in Crimea. There is no such route to Alushta.
You can use a single ticket to the city closest to Alushta - Simferopol. And from there you can take another bus, trolleybus or taxi. Why is this necessary if there is a direct bus from Krasnodar? If you want to travel from Anapa. And also because a bus ticket from Russian Railways is 2 times cheaper than from carriers from Krasnodar.
In 2022, the route operates from April 30 to September 30. Tickets must be purchased no earlier than 90 days before the train departs.
- From Moscow you take a train to Anapa or Krasnodar. Most often from the Kazansky station, but there are trains from Kursky, Paveletsky, Kievsky.
- In Anapa and Krasnodar, on the square near the station, change to a bus to Simferopol.
- In Simferopol, take the trolleybus to Alushta.
Route on the map (enlarges when clicked):
Bus boarding takes place next to the station building.
In Krasnodar:
In Anapa:
Signs have been installed at both stations, and coordinators and control centers operate.
Seating on the bus is free. If you miss your bus, you can take any other one going in the right direction until 23:59 of the current day, if there are free seats.
The price of a single ticket consists of the price of a train to Anapa/Krasnodar and the price of a bus to Simferopol.

The route through Krasnodar is faster and cheaper.
If we compare the fastest trains, they are 1.5 hours faster. And tickets, depending on the place and the train, are 500 - 1500 rubles cheaper.
The route through Anapa is longer, but by bus it takes 2.5 hours less. With small children, it can be easier to spend an extra few hours on a train than two on a cramped bus.
When purchasing a ticket through the Russian Railways website, you can see how long the journey will take separately by train, separately by bus:
There are subtleties when buying a ticket online on the Russian Railways website - this process is discussed in detail in the article on how to get to Simferopol by train.
Trolleybuses (from the trolleybus station at the railway station) and buses (from the central bus station) run regularly and frequently from Simferopol to Alushta - every 10-20 minutes. .
Travel time: from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Which cities of Crimea will trains go to?
Judging by the schedules, there will be two destinations: Sevastopol and Simferopol. Traveling on these trains, passengers will be able to get off at stops that are closest to their resorts.
Let's see which stations should be chosen depending on the proximity of popular resort towns.
Moscow – Simferopol
- Kerch-Yuzhnaya - closest to Kerch;
- Seven Wells - you need to get off here if you are heading to Shchelkino on Cape Kazantip);
- Vladislavovka is a station where everyone who wants to get off to Feodosia and its surrounding resorts (Primorsky, Beregovoye, Ordzhonikidze, Koktebel, Sudak) or to relax on the shores of Lake Sivash should get off;
- Dzhankoy - everyone who plans to relax in Lyubimovka, on the Arbat Strelka, in Nikolaevka comes here;
- Simferopol - this city is chosen as a destination by tourists heading to Evpatoria, Novofedorovka, Alushta.
St. Petersburg – Sevastopol
- Kerch-Yuzhnaya – Seven Wells – Vladislavovka – Dzhankoy – Simferopol;
- Bakhchisaray - here you can go for travelers whose destination is Kacha, Vilino, Yalta or Gurzuf;
- Sevastopol is the final point from where you can quickly get to Balaklava, Inkerman, Laspinskaya Bay, Foros.
Both Simferopol and Sevastopol have large transport interchanges with regular buses, trolleybuses, trains and minibuses going to all major cities of the Crimean peninsula. Ticket prices are affordable, so a trip to the desired resort will not be a hassle and will not put a strain on vacationers’ budgets.
Taxi
How to quickly cover the Simferopol-Alushta route?
How to get from the airport by taxi? Near the exit from the terminal, there are many cars waiting for vacationers that are ready to take them to the resort town. This option looks convenient when you need to quickly transfer the whole family with a large amount of luggage. It is also recommended for those who arrive at the airport at night to stick to this decision. The distance to Alushta can be covered by taxi in about an hour. As for the cost of the trip, it will not exceed 1,700 rubles. If desired, a smaller amount can be negotiated with individual drivers.
To the peninsula - by rail
KZD, founded in 2014 after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, maintains the railway system on the peninsula. After the commissioning of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge and the railway approach to it in Kerch, they will come under the control of the KZD. Currently, only suburban services are provided in Crimea, with 53 trains running.
According to him, in total, the schedule for 17 directions of movement of these trains has been agreed upon, although not all of them will be daily.
As for freight traffic, according to KZD forecasts, after the launch of the railway part of the bridge, up to a dozen freight trains from other regions of Russia are expected daily.
By bus
You can get to Alushta by bus from the cities of Crimea, as well as from regions of Russia. Buses are transported across the Kerch Strait by ferry. These are mainly passing buses to Yalta.
Alushta is connected by regular flights to at least Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta, Dzhanka, Yevpatoria, Kerch, Sudak, Feodosia. Outside the peninsula with Rostov-on-Don, Anapa, Krasnodar, Moscow, Krymsk, Krivoy Rog, Novorossiysk, Temryuk, Odessa, Chisinau, etc. You can find out schedules and flight availability through the Yandex.schedules service (see table with schedule below) .
Buses arrive at the bus station, which is located on the outskirts of the city (Alushta bus station on the map). Some passing and suitable buses make a stop not by entering the station, but by dropping off and picking up passengers at a regular city stop opposite it. You can then get to the desired place in the city by taxi (140 rubles) or public transport.
Alushta bus station schedule
From Simferopol airport and Simferopol
Direct buses depart from Simferopol and the Airport to Alushta, the journey takes just over an hour.
The best way to depart from Simferopol is from the Kurortnaya bus station, which is next to the railway station. From there, buses to Alushta depart almost every 15 minutes, including at night, costing from 72 rubles. There are not so many buses directly to Alushta, but any bus to Yalta, populated areas of greater Yalta, or Sudak will do.
From the airport, buses go from the airport bus station 50 meters from the airport exit. Cost – from 84 rubles. Departures at 06:20, 09:25, 10:05, 11:30, 12:40, 13:15, 13:35, 14:15, 15:20, 16:25, 17:00, 17:40, 19:15, 22:40 (schedule for the 2015 season, subject to change).
From Feodosia
There are non-stop flights from Feodosia, but they go through Simferopol, resulting in a “detour”. You can get there by changing buses, but it may take even longer due to connecting flights.
From Yalta
Alushta and Yalta are frequently connected by bus and trolleybus services (approximately every half hour). Cost from 53 rubles, the journey takes about an hour.
From Sudak
Two buses leave daily from Sudak to Alushta at 06:05 and 15:40 (return 09:10, 17:05), cost 114 rubles, the journey takes 2 and a half hours.
By car
Getting to Moscow from Alushta is not at all so easy. The distance between the cities is about 1800 km. The road will be difficult. Along the way you need to make at least one overnight stop. It is most convenient to do it in Rostov-on-Don, after you have passed the most difficult part of the journey.
After Rostov you take the M4 highway to Moscow. The speed limit on the highway almost everywhere (not counting populated areas) is 90 km/h. There are many cameras installed, so it is better to comply with it. Also, after Voronezh there will be several sections of the toll road, the total cost of travel along them for a passenger car will be about 400 rubles.
I also recommend calculating the time of entry into Moscow. It is better not to do this in the morning on weekdays or on Sunday evenings, as heavy traffic jams are possible.
Travel time, not counting stops, will be about a day.
Getting to Alushta by plane and trolleybuses Option 1
When thinking about how to get to Alushta by plane, you should take into account that you will have to travel with transfers. The airport is located in Simferopol, but there are no problems getting there. A ticket to Simferopol can be purchased without problems in Moscow, Arkhangelsk, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Magnitogorsk, Rostov-on-Don, Tyumen and Voronezh.
And upon arrival, right at the exit from the terminal you can see trolleybuses No. 55 to Yalta and 54 to Alushta. You can board any of them, since the path to Yalta goes through Alushta. The price of a ticket to Alushta will be 66 rubles. The main thing is to warn the driver about your destination.
Simferopol International Airport – Photo 02
You can use minibuses and get to the train station. Trolleybuses No. 51 to Alushta and No. 52 to Yalta always go from there. Their parking lot is located under the clock tower. You can also buy a ticket there for 55 rubles.
Trolleybus is a budget option. Tickets are cheap, there are no amenities, especially in the summer, when you have to stand for 2 hours due to the large influx of tourists. Therefore, it is used only by those who do not mind their own nerves. The ticket price is minimal, but it is always preferable to use the services of the Kurortnaya , which is located directly opposite the trolleybus parking lot at the Railway Station. Also for only 106 rubles. You can go by bus directly from the airport.

How to get to Alushta by plane
The easiest way to get to Alushta is through Simferopol by purchasing a ticket for a direct flight from the Russian capital. This service is offered by carriers: S7; Red Wings; Pegasus Fly; "Alrosa". It is better to check the availability of tickets in advance, as their number may be limited during high season. Ticket prices start from 7,600 rubles and reach 8,000 rubles. The flight time is about 2.5 hours, which is very convenient.
If you fly from St. Petersburg, you will spend approximately 3 hours in flight. Non-stop flights also operate in the St. Petersburg-Simferopol direction. From cities such as Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, you can fly to Simferopol directly or with transfers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Naberezhnye Chelny, etc. The duration of the flight depends on the type of aircraft, weather conditions conditions and other objective factors.
Once in Simferopol, you can easily get to Alushta using local transport, including taxis, trolleybuses and buses.
How to get around the city?
Public transport within the city is well developed. You can get to anywhere in the city. For example, to the famous Professor's Corner or surrounding villages.
There are trolleybuses, buses and minibuses running around the city.
Booking.com
A taxi is considered the most convenient form of transport for traveling around the city.
Alternatively, you can rent a car. Rental agencies are located in Simferopol. However, many companies ask for a deposit.
On the territory of the city there is a pier, as well as bus and trolleybus stations.
Getting to Alushta by buses and minibuses Option 2
Again, we assume that we have already successfully reached Simferopol. In addition to the airport, there are 2 more main places where guests of Crimea come. This is the central bus station and railway station, usually the 2nd option.
There are no problems with getting to Alushta from the central bus station. From time to time there are buses from there, but much less often than from the station. Therefore, it is better to cross the road and take bus route 64 or 65. And there at the station, as already mentioned, there are 2 options, besides trolleybuses.

Railway station building in Simferopol - Photo 05Simferopol bus station - Photo 06
The first option is to stand in the long line at the ticket office in the summer and buy a ticket to Alushta for 95 rubles. Buses leave every 15 minutes, so in a maximum of 45 minutes you can leave further. If there are still empty seats on the bus, the driver, having left the station, picks up additional passengers and a little cheaper. The main thing is to agree with him in advance.
And a little to the side there are always minibuses that offer to get to Yalta and Alushta. If you contact them, they will take you across the road to the parking lot under the Lenin monument. There is always a free minibus there, which departs as soon as it is full. Their ticket costs a little more (150-200 rubles) than on the bus, but this is the fastest and most comfortable way to get to Alushta from Simferopol. Therefore, you can ignore those who offer to travel for 1000-1500 per person. It is these taxi drivers that were warned about at the beginning of the article.

There are no other options to get from Simferopol to Alushta other than a personal car. And for those who have not used the services of buses, trains or planes to shorten their journey to Alushta, it is worth considering several nuances of the road to Crimea using a personal car.

By plane to Alushta
Regarding air travel. As of today, there are no direct flights from Moscow to Alushta. Air communication with Crimea is carried out through the city of Simferopol. The round trip price, depending on the airline, ranges from 4,000 to 15,000 rubles. The flight from Moscow to Simferopol takes just over two hours.
The city of Alushta is located 47 kilometers from Simferopol. This distance can be overcome in several ways. Geographically, the city is located quite conveniently, and you can get here by buses and taxis. Many intercity and commuter buses pass through it from Simferopol itself and the Simferopol airport, which go to Yalta and Sudak.
A bus ticket to Alushta will cost you about 100 rubles. Their movement interval is approximately 15 minutes, but in order to purchase a ticket you will have to stand in line at the ticket office. There is also the opportunity to get from Simferopol to Alushta by minibus, these are the so-called “minibuses”, here the ticket will cost a little more - it’s 150-200 rubles, but the travel time compared to a regular bus is much shorter, and these minibuses depart as soon as possible. filling them with passengers.

How to buy a train ticket to Crimea online
Online purchases with the choice of a specific seat are only possible on the website of the Grand Service Express carrier, and not on the Russian Railways website.
Let's take a step-by-step look at the process of choosing a carriage, a seat and purchasing a ticket via the Internet.
- Select the desired train (from Moscow or St. Petersburg) and set the desired departure date. You can specify the starting point not Moscow, but any intermediate point corresponding to the route (Tver, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, etc.). The same goes for the final one - for example, not Simferopol, but Dzhankoy.
2. By clicking “Select train” - you don’t have to choose, there is only one, you will be taken to the screen for selecting a class of service.
3. Having selected a class of service, for example, a compartment, using the “Select seats” button you will specify the specific carriage and range of seats, as well as the desired floor if you are buying tickets on a double-decker train from Moscow. Here you will immediately be shown the price of a ticket depending on the chosen seat - upper or lower. The bottom one is more expensive.
4. Fill in the passenger information. If there are several of them, use the “Add passenger” button under the form. A child under 5 years old without a seat can be added free of charge using the appropriate button under the form, with a seat, and a child under 10 years old can be added as an individual passenger with the “Children” fare.
5. Now carefully check the entered data, selected places, departure and arrival dates.
7. Enter your card details. You may need to enter a code from SMS to confirm the payment. After this, the tickets will appear in your personal account and will be sent to you by email.
If you have not yet chosen where you will live and want to save money when booking, we recommend using the RoomGuru service. Firstly, it contains hotels, apartments and guest houses from many different booking systems, so you won’t miss out on a worthwhile option. Secondly, you can immediately compare prices for one place in different services and book where it is cheaper (this is not always Booking!).
Simferopol Alushta how to get from the airport by bus

To get to the Central Bus Station from the airport, just take a ticket for bus No. 49 or 49A. Such public transport runs here at intervals of 5-10 minutes. As for travel time, the trip will take about 40 minutes. Travel to the bus station will cost about 10-15 rubles.
You can get to the Simferopol railway station from the airport by using buses that run on routes No. 54 and 55. The journey will take about half an hour. Among other things, minibuses No. 115, No. 98 and No. 100 go to the railway station. The fare here will be about 15 rubles.
How to get to Alushta from Simferopol airport directly? In order not to waste time traveling to the bus or train station, you should use regular transport that will take you directly to the resort. Buses that follow the Simferopol-Alushta route depart from the airport from morning to late evening. The cost of such a move will be more than 100 rubles. As for luggage, you will have to pay for it separately.
Simferopol Airport
The airport is the largest air hub located in Crimea. Traffic volumes are about 3 million passengers per year. The international air harbor is 17 kilometers away from the city. The terminal is divided into 3 floors: the first - check-in for the flight, the arrival hall, information desks, the second - the departure waiting area, the mother and child room, the VIP room, the third - the departure area. The transport infrastructure will allow travelers to quickly and easily reach Simferopol, as well as other Crimean resorts.
By thinking about purchasing tickets a month before your expected departure date, you can save a lot of money. If you choose to fly by plane, air tickets can be much cheaper than train tickets. The cost of tickets in both directions starts from 4,000 rubles for early booking. Train tickets can cost 4,000 rubles one way only.

Parting words for tourists
The more comfortable, faster, but also most expensive option is air travel. The railway route will be convenient for those passengers who have planned a short stop in Krasnodar or Anapa. Only in this case, traveling with forced transfers to different types of transport will not seem so tiresome.
It is possible to significantly save your time and finances by purchasing a single ticket. Passengers have a special ticket price, and connecting flights take into account the minimum waiting time.
For information. In advance, when purchasing a train ticket, you should also book a transfer from the station to your holiday destination, then you will be met near the exit from the Alushta station and taken to your destination. You do not have to order a taxi, the cost of which in the station area is much higher than the cost of a transfer.
In the near future, they plan to make the railway route to Crimea high-speed, thereby reducing the travel time from Moscow to Simferopol to 18 hours.
