A sightseeing tour in a mini-group “Beloved Sochi from the sea to the mountains” can be recommended for your first acquaintance with the city. Therefore, the entire time we were walking around the aquarium, I urged Slava on and said: “Let’s hurry up, we won’t have time to see everything before closing!” And imagine our disappointment when, after 30 minutes, we smoothly approached the exit...

Clownfish live in sea anemones. The tentacles of the sea anemone are poisonous, but the skin of the clown fish secretes a special protective mucus that helps it not get burned from touching the sea anemone. They have a mutually beneficial cooperation: the sea anemone protects the clown fish from predators, and the clown fish provides the sea anemone with food. Another interesting fact: clown fish are hermaphrodites. They are born males, and when they grow up they become females.

After the aquarium there was another option to go to the dolphinarium, but to be honest, we abandoned this idea because the aquarium disappointed us a little. We don’t seem to be spoiled, but we were missing something there.
What to see for yourself
What to see on your own in Adler? First of all, the Olympic Park and Sochi Park. The Olympic Park is one of the main sites of the 2014 Winter Olympics. On its territory there are the Fisht stadium (the Sochi football club plays its home matches here), the Bolshoi Sports Palace (the home arena of the Sochi hockey club), the Shaiba indoor ice complex, the Adler Arena and other sports facilities. The highlight of the Olympic Park is the singing fountain show. In winter, this light and music show takes place from 18:00 to 19:00.

If you are on vacation with children (after all, January is the time of the New Year holidays), visit Sochi Park. It is located next to the Olympic Park (Olympic Avenue, 21). This is the largest amusement park in Russia. But you shouldn’t come here with your own car - there is no parking.
Adler, like many resorts, has its own embankment. If the weather permits, take a walk around it. There are not many holidaymakers here in January. Therefore, you can calmly, listening to the sound of the surf, photograph the sea.

If you feel uncomfortable on the street, spend time in the Plaza shopping center (Kirova St., 58). There are supermarkets, stores of many brands, a cinema, and fast food here. There is a children's park. In general, there is something to see in Adler.
Coastal cafe
After a walk along the sea beach, it was time for breakfast. The prices here, after the eastern Bukhara-Tashkent fairy tale, are quite steep, I tell you. But what can you do here - this is a resort place, the famous Sochi.
We went to the first cafe we came across not far from the seashore. We looked at the menu, it seemed like reasonable prices, and only after they brought the bill, we realized that all prices were indicated for 100 grams, and portions were 250 grams each. We ordered 2 French meats, a pot of tea, a cup of coffee and 2 pieces bread - all this cost us 718 rubles. It’s very different from the prices in Uzbekistan, where we could eat for 150 rubles to the fullest. Well, we’re in Russia, home again, someday we’ll still have to start getting used to the prices.
While still in the cafe, we went online to see what we could see here. Sorry for the tautology, but that's how it is. We only had one day in Sochi, and we needed to know where to go next. After studying a bunch of sites, we decided to visit the Sochi Oceanarium.
