Sunny Anapa with its shallow coastline and sandy beaches is known to most guests as a summer resort. But it’s not only the warm sea and good weather that attract travelers here. For family tourists, young people and retirees, this cozy town is no less attractive in winter than in high season.
Between December and March, Anapa becomes an excellent (and inexpensive) place to relax. There are dozens of recreation options: from walks in picturesque surroundings and sightseeing to gastro and wine tours and photo sessions. In addition, the local sanatorium and health complex operates year-round, and the natural beauty does not disappear anywhere.
So, welcome to winter Anapa! And believe me, you won't be disappointed.

Weather in Anapa in winter
Winter in Anapa is quite mild: there are no frosts of forty degrees, and the air temperature rarely drops below 0. Therefore, if you prefer asphalt to ice, this is definitely the place for you. Of course, once a decade abnormal frosts come here, when the thermometer shows a “terrible” temperature for these places - -10. But this happens rarely and does not last long.
Snow is also very rare here: you are unlikely to see children sledding and making snowmen in Anapa, but kids building sand castles on the beach are quite common. Rain is a more common phenomenon in these expanses, and you shouldn’t count on a quick end to the downpour. But the humidity is good for the grass and bushes: they are emerald and juicy as never before.
What to do in Anapa in winter
Going to Anapa in winter, you can make a lot of discoveries for yourself, admire the local beauty and attractions without the hustle and bustle of people.
Attractions
First of all, guests of Anapa go for a walk along the embankment. In winter, the local promenade is picturesque and still hospitable: cafes and restaurants are open, and no one can stop you from admiring the sea and breathing in fresh air. In bad weather, it’s nice to drink a cup of coffee or warm up with mulled wine, treat yourself to a delicious dessert or aromatic kebab.
On Cape Anapa stands the symbol of the city - a “striped” lighthouse, installed in the 19th century, destroyed by the Nazis and restored in the mid-20th century. Nearby is the Museum of Local Lore and a 200-year-old necropolis, where Sergei Yesenin’s wife, Zinaida Reich, and the famous Bolshoi Theater soloist Dmitry Golovin are buried.

In the vicinity of Malaya Bay there is a resort pump room with mineral water, where people flock to improve their health or quench their thirst. Another healing and miraculous spring is Feodosia of the Caucasus, located in the village of Gorny, 45 km from the city. Here you can also buy fragrant honey - the fruit of the hard work of local bees.
Behind the seaport there is the Anapa Archaeological Museum "Gorgippia", the monument "Scarlet Sails", next to them is the war memorial "Russian Gate" and the charming sculpture of the White Hat. Unfortunately, singing fountains do not work in winter, but their bowls are decorated with bright and spectacular compositions made of LED duralight.
