The seaport of Tuapse is one of the largest Russian ports on the Black Sea coast, transshipping dry and oil cargo. It also has a grain transshipment complex. The port was founded in 1898, at the time when the first ship entered it.
The port's annual cargo turnover is 20 million tons of cargo. The seaport also serves vessels with a total weight of up to 55 thousand tons in dry cargo areas and 100 thousand tons in naphthenic areas. The port water area is located on 80 hectares of water surface, which is protected from bad weather by 2,500 meters of fencing.

The complex consists of 9 buildings:

Less known is the megalithic complex of Psynako, located near the village of Anastasievka. There are only 4 of these in the world. It stands on a hill on a man-made foundation. The height of the walls is about 3 m; you can go inside along a special corridor.
The mountains of the Tuapse region are also famous for their beautiful waterfalls. Tourist routes leading to the most famous of them have been created.
Most visited waterfalls:
- Perun. The highest waterfall (33 m). Located outside the village of Krasny. The best time to visit this place is in the spring, when its beauty is revealed in full splendor.
- Serenades of love. Not far from the village of Nadzhigo there are these beautiful creations of nature. The guides tell a legend about the love of the God of the Forest for a beautiful girl, for whose gift he created this beauty. The largest of them has a height of 32 m, and there are several smaller ones nearby.
- Waterfalls on the Dederkoy River. This is the most favorite tourist route. At the base of the first waterfall, a mountain lake with the purest water formed. They offer to get to the place on horseback, which further increases the attractiveness of the walk.
- Bride's veil . It is located near the village of Novomikhailovskoye. Foaming streams of water resemble thin lace, which is why it got its name.
There are other equally beautiful waterfalls, many of them in this mountainous area, but you can only get there by special transport, adapted to mountain roads and crossing rivers.
How to get there?
By train and electric trains: all passenger trains and electric trains going to Adler pass through the Tuapse railway station. Several passenger trains depart from Moscow every day; the journey takes almost a day.
You can get to Tuapse by plane. Krasnodar airport is located 170 km from the resort, the airport in Adler is 134 km away, and it is possible to come from Gelendzhik 136 km away.
Having landed at Krasnodar airport, you can get to the Tuapse resorts in about 2.5-3 hours by car, it all depends on how busy the route is. If you buy a ticket for an intercity bus, the travel time will be 3.5 hours.
During the journey, endless fields give way to the picturesque foothills of the main Caucasian ridge, approaching the Tuapse region, the road begins to turn from a straight line into a long serpentine road.

Dolphinarium "Aquamir" is located in the resort village of Nebug, 15 km from Tuapse. Water park "Dolphin"
Like the dolphinarium, the water park is located in Nebug, and is considered the very first (since 1997), largest (3 hectares), most beautiful (the number of plants is greater only in the Sochi arboretum) and most comfortable (5 stars) water park in Russia.
There are 5 unique water slides, among which the extreme ones stand out: “Kamikaze” (height 15 m, speed over 70 km/s), “Black Hole” (100-meter closed water tube with special effects) and “Pigtail” (3 water tubes, “ twisted" into one "braid").

Theater for Young Spectators
This theater grew out of the amateur theater group "Suitcase", specializing in children's productions. In 1991 he received professional status. In 2001, he settled in the building of the former Sadko cinema (Tamanskaya St., 18).
Tuapse Youth Theater is the only theater of this profile on the Black Sea coast, a winner of many All-Russian competitions among provincial theaters. For a long time she came to this place to mourn her beloved. And then, unable to live any longer without Dysheek, she threw herself into the depths of the sea. The Kiselev Rock was named later when the famous painter Kiselyov depicted it in his painting “The Rock of Tears”. This place is located 4 km from the city. You can get here with a boat tour. Waterfalls
The unique and most beautiful attractions in Tuapse are its numerous waterfalls.
- The largest is the Perun waterfall (water falls from a height of 33 meters). Getting there is easy. You need to take the train to Dachnaya station. - "Blue" waterfalls. They were named so due to the layers of blue clay that come to the surface and give the water a special hue. You will need to take a bus to the village of Indyuk, and from there it will take about 1.5 hours to walk to the waterfalls.

The mild subtropical climate of the Tuapse region has a beneficial effect on health. The summer heat is tempered by a pleasant sea breeze, and winters here are almost snowless and not cold.
The water warms up to 24 degrees in summer. Strong winds and rains are rare in the city; they are mainly delayed by the Caucasus Range. But you won’t be able to dry a towel outside overnight. The air itself is humid, and heavy dew falls in the mornings.
Since Tuapse is not legally a resort (it is more of a port and industrial city), the beaches here are not very crowded, which is very attractive to lovers of a relaxing family holiday. The bottom is covered with small pebbles. Local residents open the swimming season in May (although the water has not yet had time to warm up). The season officially opens in June and closes in September.

Kiselev's Rock
This natural monument of Tuapse became known throughout Russia thanks to three paintings by Russian artist Alexander Kiselev. “The Outskirts of Tuapse”, “Descent to the Sea”, “Kadosh Rocks” brought the artist, who lived at the turn of the 19th – 20th centuries, the fame of a marine painter, and the smooth-walled rock became the calling card of Tuapse. Located at Cape Kadosh, it is part of the protected forest park of the same name.
In Tuapse there is the Kisileva rock. This is a picturesque place where the film “The Diamond Arm” was filmed.

Rosmorport Tower
This is a kind of modern lighthouse, commissioned in 2010. The 6-sided gray tower is topped with a large blue ball, which houses a control base equipped with tracking and navigation systems for ships in the waters of Tuapse and the Black Sea.
The tower in the city center claims to be the most original architectural landmark. Due to its external similarity, it received the name “Chupa Chups” from local residents.
Megaliths of Psynako
Tuapse, whose attractions and entertainment date back not only to modern times, but also to old times, also has an ancient site worthy of attention. The megalithic complex near the suburban village of Anastasievka on the banks of the Psynako River is one of the mysteries of Southern Russia.
These buildings, made of stones and mostly already destroyed, are more than 5,000 years old. Their purpose is unclear, but the exact adherence of the lines of the structures to the direction of the sun's movement across the sky is striking. Some researchers believe that this is a religious building, like the Sun Temple, and its functions are somewhat related to Stonehenge.

Perun Waterfall
This is a beautiful waterfall formed by the fall of the Kazeny stream from the rocks near the village of Krasnoe. The village is located not far from Tuapse (along the highway towards Maykop, then 30 minutes on foot across the bridge over the Tuapse River and through the forest). It is better to visit the waterfall in spring or autumn when there is a lot of rainfall.

The cultural and ethnic center is located in the village of Aguy-Shapsug, near the Kolikho ridge. The Shapsug community, a branch of the Adyghe ethnic group, one of the indigenous peoples of the Caucasus, has long lived here.
