Almost every accommodation facility is aimed at family tourists, therefore they offer spacious playgrounds, swimming pools, and animation staff that provide an interesting and active holiday. Of course, travelers are primarily interested in the Black Sea coast, so I devote this review exclusively to the beaches.

The best beaches in Vityazevo

The gorgeous coastline from Dzhemete to Blagoveshchenskaya is Vityazevo. The small village is somewhat similar to foreign resorts. The coastal areas are well-groomed and attractive; on most beaches, sunbeds and sun loungers are white. There are many water activities available, many coastal areas have animators, parties and night discos.

It is quite difficult to select the best of all beaches; each is attractive in its own way. From the point of view of cleanliness of the sea, peace and tranquility, we liked the beaches located away from the resort center more. I especially liked the beaches “Dunes” and “Pearl of Russia”. At the same time, if you are more interested in noisy leisure with musical accompaniment, it is better to go to the colorful Pirate Bay beach. Every day is a sea of ​​incendiary parties, lotteries and all kinds of quests in a pirate style.

Good news for tourists who come on holiday with children - the sea is warm and shallow everywhere, and the sand is very soft and clean. So you don’t have to worry about the water pleasures of young vacationers. My wife and I found the Central Beach the most convenient in this regard. There is a special animation team on site to entertain children while adults relax. On the other hand, married couples should not be located in the center of the village. The embankment is noisy and fun all night long; this makes the hotel rooms not very comfortable.

Entertainment

If you do not take into account the attractions of Anapa, available to guests of neighboring villages, there is not much entertainment in Vityazevo itself. Resort life revolves around a kilometer-long embankment with the romantic name “Paralia”. The main promenade is designed in antique style and lined with souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and retail outlets.

There are a huge number of water attractions on the territory, merchants have an incredible range of treats, and along the coast there are many new hotel complexes and comfortable cottages. The road to the beach area is stone, making it easy to get there with a stroller and small children. Shallow water with a gentle entrance is also conducive to family recreation. In addition, there are enough attractions on the territory, there are rental points for sun loungers and deck chairs. There are catering areas in the form of snack bars and beach cafes. Some tourists call the beach “Velvet”, and this is quite justified: the sea is warm and gentle, and the sand looks like very small pearls. At one time, the entrance to the beach was closed, since it is the property of the sanatorium of the same name. But we came freely for several days in a row.

The comfortable and fully equipped Venus Resort beach belongs to the hotel complex of the same name, located in a quiet corner of the village. The area is well-groomed with a large number of water attractions. There are comfortable, recently refurbished sun loungers, awnings, a café and billiards.

In 2022, the hotel underwent a major renovation, so all rental amenities are in excellent condition. There is everything for maximum comfort, but you obviously won’t be able to enjoy the silence. Loud music plays throughout the day, accompanied by the shouts of beach vendors.

There are comfortable wooden decks leading to the beach, the entrance to the sea is gentle with a slowly increasing depth, just like on the rest of the Vityazevo coast. There is children's animation, excellent bars, soft golden sand and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a holiday at a foreign resort.

There are many excellent cafes and various attractions on the shore. At the height of the season, the beach is crowded with vacationers and, despite the fairly wide strip to the sea, sometimes you have to walk what is called “over the heads.”

The beach of the Aquamarine sanatorium seemed to me the largest in Vityazevo. The landscaping of the area, delicious food and the availability of wellness programs left very good impressions and pleasant memories. There is an amusement park nearby.

The opening of the swimming season in Vityazevo falls exactly on the May holidays. During this period, the thermometer rises to +20-21 °C, the water warms up to +18 °C. Of course, you won’t be able to swim in the sea for a long time, but you will be able to sunbathe in the warm, not yet scorching sun, and there will be enough space for everyone on the uncrowded beaches.

In June, the air temperature rises to +25-26 °C, and the water temperature to +23-24 °C. This time, like no other, is suitable for those who cannot tolerate both the heat and the cold sea.

The peak of the season is considered to be mid-July - early August, when beach holidays cover the entire range of resort options. The sun warms the air to +28-33 °C, and the water to +27 °C. However, the higher the sea temperature, the greater the chance that the coastal backwater will be filled with green algae. For lovers of clean water and squeamish people, this will certainly ruin their vacation experience.

In September, the heat slows down, but the water still remains at a comfortable level of +23-24 °C. The number of tourists is rapidly decreasing, but those who remain can enjoy the pleasant warmth and gentle sea without worrying about the danger of overheating or hypothermia.

October ends the swimming season, and even heavy rains, which “wash away” the summer shine from the resort, do not interfere with a good rest. This is a time for contemplative walks and wellness treatments, the cost of which is much lower than in the high season.

Wild beaches of Vityazevo

18 km from Anapa, on the northwestern side of the village, is the famous Vityazevsky estuary. This is a closed salt reservoir filled with healing mud. The main part of the shore is sandy with a small addition of shells. The bottom of the estuary is covered with silt, and the smell of hydrogen sulfide, the main substance of mud, helps to treat many diseases, is in the air. Including the musculoskeletal system, nervous system and many others.

It is unlikely that you will be able to swim in the estuary; the maximum depth is about 70 cm. You can wash off the dirt in the sea, separated from the reservoir by a sand spit. True, it’s a long walk, about 1 km, so it’s better to take water with you.

It’s not a very common sight to see “dirty” people on the beach, but that’s not the most important thing. Beach accessories may not be washed, so it’s worth taking a swimsuit that you won’t mind throwing away later. If you wish, you can find a secluded place and take a mud bath naked.

Among the disadvantages, I would highlight the inconvenience; you either need to take water with you or walk a long distance to the sea.

Climatic features

The mild climate of Vityazevo is close to the Mediterranean, except that the humidity here is felt a little more than, for example, on the Crimean South Coast. There are no sudden changes in weather, storms are rare here, and even Gelendzhik will envy the solar activity.

Coastal waters act as the main “accumulator” of heat and even out temperature indicators throughout the year. In summer, the Black Sea weakens hot afternoons, and in winter it prevents the thermometer from dropping to negative levels.

Located on the outskirts of a mountain system and sand dunes, the climate of Vityazevo is characterized by increased wind activity. At the same time, fresh sea breezes provide the resort with good aeration, carrying away allergens and saturating the air with iodine, fluorine, bromine, calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Vityazevsky Liman

The estuary, with its flat but muddy bottom, suggests other types of recreation than the classic activities at sea - swimming and sunbathing. First of all, these are mud wraps, which have anti-inflammatory and disinfecting properties.

Fishing is no less popular. The catch consists of crucian carp, ram, perch, and carp. Carp, rudd and even seahorse are caught on the bait. Sailing is more common in the open sea, but if you wish, you can also pamper yourself in the estuary.

Here you can enjoy the silence, hide from the sea winds behind high dunes that grow up to 15 meters. A pleasant bonus of relaxing near the estuary close to the sea. On the Vityazevskaya Spit, just ten meters from the reed thickets, the sound of waves, the cry of seagulls and the endless blue expanse. Well, now about the disadvantages:

1. Lots of people on the beach during peak season. Even despite the wide swimming area in July-August, you will have to take your “place in the sun” early in the morning.
2. Poor beach equipment. Of course, there is the required minimum on the coast, but there are clearly not enough awnings, changing cabins and sun loungers.
3. The bloom of the sea in the middle of summer, which is unpleasant both externally and tactilely.
4. The “aroma” that the estuary exudes is not entirely pleasant. The strong smell is especially noticeable on the outskirts, near the reservoir. From there, hordes of mosquitoes rush into the village.
5. There is little entertainment for youth groups. To relax “to the fullest”, you will have to go to Anapa.
6. Lack of ATMs or lack of banknotes in them. Not every store accepts bank cards, so have some cash on hand.

So, Vityazevo is positioned as a picturesque village with a light flair of antiquity and comfortable conditions for family and youth recreation. Thanks to its wide beaches, mild climate and convenient location, it is a worthy competitor to Bolshoi Utrish or Dzhemete.

Why was it called that?

The beach in Vityazevo is good, so many tourists come here every year. The settlement is named after Major Vityaz, who accomplished his feat in 1809. This outstanding man fought heroically against the Circassians and died from wounds received in battle three days after the battle.

After some time, the Cossack village of Vityazevskaya appeared here, and then the settlement of the Pontic Greeks - Vityazevo. Until now, they still make up the majority of the population of the village.

Big and Small Utrish

Guests of Anapa consider the wild beach between Bolshoi and Maly Utrish to be the most popular. A beautiful juniper forest grows in this place, and dwarf oaks grow on the mountains. Everything around is saturated with the healing scent of juniper. There is a warm, clean sea where there are crabs and a lot of different fish.
