Excursions in Anapa

The onset of the summer season directs the flow of domestic tourism to the Black Sea coast. This fertile area is part of the Krasnodar Territory, which is famous for its mild climate, juicy fruits and well-thought-out tourist infrastructure. Lovers of shallow seas and sandy beaches are welcome in sunny Anapa. In addition to a relaxing seaside holiday, there is entertainment for tourists with a wide variety of tastes. Read about possible excursions in Anapa in 2022 and the nearest resort villages in our article.

Anapa

Cozy narrow streets saturated with the scent of pine, summer cafes with local wine, smiling tanned passers-by and sand in sandals - summer in Anapa evokes a blissful smile. A variety of leisure facilities have been created for vacationers in the city.

  • Dolphinarium Nemo
(Pionersky Prospekt, 20A) Fans of cute marine mammals can attend a performance of trained dolphins and fur seals in the equipped dolphinarium. For a fee, you can photograph the animals, and swimming with them in the same pool will give you vivid impressions for the whole year. This trip will be pleasantly remembered by both children and adults.
  • Musical fountains
(Central Square of the city) An evening walk around the resort will become brighter if you visit the central square of the city, where the light and musical fountain is located. Its jets glow with all the colors of the rainbow and ri accompanied by classical music. City guests take stunning photos and videos next to such a living fountain. Charge your phones before heading to the light and music show.
  • Central embankment
A walk along the central embankment is good at any time of the day. Cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, children's attractions - it's fun, tasty and crowded. And the seascapes and salty breeze add a feeling of pleasant carefreeness. If you want to be in the center of the action, walk along the embankment.
  • RIF Oceanarium
(Revolution Avenue, 3) You can admire the delights of marine life without scuba diving. To do this, go to the aquarium. Octopuses, sharks and rare coral fish live behind the transparent walls of large aquariums. And reefs and algae give a true marine ambiance.

Dzhemete

Basic moments

The coast from Anapa Bay to the Bugaz Spit is considered the best place for a beach holiday, as there are wide sandy beaches here. It is noteworthy that the word “Dzhemete” itself, translated from the Adyghe language, means “golden sand” or “gold placers”. There are never as many people in the resort village as on the Anapa coast, so the sea remains clean throughout the entire holiday season. In Dzhemet there is no such noise as in Anapa, and the air is much cleaner than in the city. In addition, it is very easy to get to Dzhemete from the airport or train station by public transport, and this is very important for parents who come to the sea with small children.

Resort village Dzhemete

The main advantage of the resort is that the buildings are stretched along the seashore, and from any part of the village you can quickly walk to the beach. The road to the coast from Upper Dzhemete takes no more than 10 minutes. There are several sanatoriums and boarding houses in the village, but mini-hotels and guest houses, whose prices are more affordable, are more popular among tourists.

Many outdoor enthusiasts come to Dzhemete. For those who like sea diving, there is a dive center in the resort village. Near the shore you can ride jet skis and catamarans, learn to windsurf and fly with a parachute behind a speedboat. From Dzhemete you can go on boat trips on yachts and fishing. The village has its own modern Tiki-Tak water park, a dolphinarium, a safari park, a penguinarium and an aquarium. In addition, from Dzhemete it’s a stone’s throw from the entertainment of the resort of Anapa.

History of the village of Dzhemete

In 1828, a military fortification was built northwest of Anapa. The Dzhemetinsky garrison defended the city and was responsible for ensuring that food and goods arriving from Taman freely reached the Anapa fortress. The settlement served military functions for more than half a century.

Then the head of the Black Sea district, General D.V. Pilenko, built a house next to the fortifications and began growing grapes on the surrounding dunes. Thanks to him, the traditions of local viticulture were established, and several independent farms appeared in Dzhemet, where they made excellent wine.

The revolution of 1917 and the subsequent Civil War greatly devastated Dzhemete. When peace came, the remaining vineyards and wineries were nationalized. In 1922, the Dzhemete wine-growing state farm and the Anapa Zonal Experimental Station were created in Dzhemete, where new grape varieties were developed. Since the middle of the last century, the suburb of Anapa began to develop as a resort village.

Dzhemete beaches

A strip of magnificent beaches covered with golden sand stretches across the entire village of Dzhemete. It reaches a width of 100-130 meters. Fine quartz sand in places has inclusions of mica and shell rock. The beach strip is separated from the residential areas of Dzhemete by picturesque sand dunes up to 15 meters high. The various forms of sandy hills and their vegetation create the unique landscapes of the resort village. Small children, elderly people and those with musculoskeletal problems find it difficult to walk on pebbles. And walking on soft sand is a pleasure!

Access to the beach through the sand dunes. Boardwalk on Dzhemete Beach.

Wide beaches were formed thanks to Kuban. Once upon a time, the river flowed into the Black Sea right here and brought a large amount of sand to the seashore. At the end of the 18th century, the Kuban changed its course, leaving extensive sand strips in the Dzhemete, Vityazevo and Kiziltash estuaries.

On all the beaches of the resort village, the entrance to the sea is very gentle, the seabed is flat and has no holes, potholes or large stones. From year to year, spring storm waves wash up three small rifts near Dzhemete at depths of 0.4 m, 0.7 m and 1.7 m. In shallow water, sea water warms up well. In July and August its temperature can reach +27…+28 °C.

On the coast near Dzhemete, sea breezes are pronounced. During the daytime they blow from sea to land, and at night, on the contrary, from land to sea. Fresh breezes perfectly ventilate the coastal area, preventing the air from stagnating. Thanks to them, vacationers can more easily endure the heat of the day.

All Dzhemete beaches have the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable stay. Here you can rent sun loungers and parasols, use changing cabins, showers and toilets. During the summer tourist season, many cafes and restaurants open along the embankment, so no one goes hungry.

Shops near the beaches sell souvenirs, swimwear, inflatable rings, mattresses, towels, fins and masks. If such equipment is needed for a short time, it is not worth buying it. In many hotels in Dzhemete, inflatable rings and snorkeling equipment are provided to guests free of charge. In addition, on the beaches of the resort village there are places where you can rent everything you need.

On the beach, which belongs to the Hellas sanatorium, they teach the basics of windsurfing. Experienced instructors from Anapa-Surfing work here.

The area around the piers and boat passages on Dzhemete beaches can be crowded in mid-summer. This happens because vacationers are brought here from the central regions of Anapa from early morning. On weekends, Dzhemete is flooded with residents of the Taman Peninsula, who come to spend time on the sandy strip by the sea. If the beach has become noisy, you should walk a little towards the center of Anapa - there are fewer vacationers there.

Tiki-Tak water park

The growing popularity of the resort village led to the fact that the city authorities of Anapa decided to place attractions and entertainment centers right in Dzhemete. In 2008, a large water park was built at 38 Pionersky Prospekt, near the intersection with Zheleznodorozhnaya Street.

Tiki-Tak water park

Tiki-Tak is considered one of the largest water entertainment centers in Russia. Its displacement exceeds 6 thousand tons. On the territory of the water park there is a spa pool with a jacuzzi of 500 m², a wave pool, a diving pool, a lazy river, a children's playground "Rainy Season", a parking lot, cafes, bars and lockers. Safety in the water park is ensured by experienced instructors.

A complex of 24 water slides guarantees thrill-seekers more than 2 km of turns and descents. They are built by Canadian. People come to Tiki-Tak to experience the power of the sea waves, swim to their heart's content, sunbathe, take part in entertainment programs and fun family rafting. Every year, next to Tiki-Tak, a large exhibition of sand sculptures is held, and vacationers from all over the Black Sea coast come to see it.

The water park is open during the summer season from 10.00 to 20.00. From the city center you can get here by minibuses No. 114, 128 and 134. Children under 110 cm tall can visit Tiki-Tak for free.

Oceanarium, dolphinarium and safari park

In the south-eastern part of Dzhemete, at the intersection of Pionersky Prospekt and Koltsevaya Street (Pionersky Prospekt, 20A), there is a large entertainment complex where all vacationers in Anapa try to come. This place is especially popular among parents with children, especially since children under 5 years old are allowed here for free.

Part of the territory is given over to the famous Nemo Dolphinarium, where spectacular performances take place five times a day. The performers of the show are Black Sea bottlenose dolphins, a sea lion, a walrus and fur seals, with whom you can take a photo after the performance. In addition to the show, there are dolphin therapy sessions and diving with dolphins for people with disabilities.

Nearby there is a penguinarium where Humboldt penguins or Peruvian penguins, brought to Anapa from South America, live. The penguinary is open daily, seven days a week, from 9.00 to 18.00.

During a show at the dolphinarium

To see other animals, you should visit the Balu Safari Park. The island of wildlife created in Dzhemet contains white tigers, lions, leopards, brown and Himalayan bears, donkeys, deer, crocodiles, porcupines, raccoons, noses and other animals and exotic birds. Safari Park welcomes guests seven days a week from 8.00 to 22.00.

For lovers of marine and river fauna, there is an oceanarium in Dzhemete. Large aquariums contain fish from different seas, oceans and freshwater bodies of the world. In the aquarium you can see large sharks, stingrays, funny seahorses and animals of the Black Sea.

Entertainment and attractions

Near the Tiki-Tak water park there is a large complex of attractions called “Sunny Island”, designed for children of all ages. There are various swings, carousels and trampolines here. Visitors to Sunny Island can ride a Ferris wheel, take part in races on a race track, visit a fear room, and also try themselves on roller coasters, Flying Elephants, Jumping Jeeps, Safari Train and Caterpillar rides.

There are no nightclubs or discos in Dzhemet, and for this kind of entertainment you need to go to Anapa or the neighboring resort village of Vityazevo. On the central embankment “Paralia” in Vityazevo, a large open-air area “Zhar” has been opened, where discos, performances by show business stars and incendiary foam parties are held.

Amusement park "Sunny Island"

Dobrodeya Park

In the center of Dzhemete, on the low Boykova Mountain, the Dobrodeya ethnographic park has been opened since 2003 (Peschanaya St., 28). Here, guests of the resort village can get acquainted with the traditions of the Cossacks and Russian folklore. Visitors are shown a spacious Cossack courtyard, treated to Kuban dishes and given the opportunity to ride horses. In “Dobrodeya” there is a fair where master craftsmen work - potters, blacksmiths and furriers, and the folk group “Shumai” also performs. The little ones are greeted in the ethnographic park by the fairy-tale “Kingdom of Berendey” with cheerful animators.

Dzhemete for healing and treatment

The Anapa coast is considered one of the best balneological resorts in the country. The subtropical continental climate, warm sea and ionized sea air allow everyone who comes to Dzhemete to improve their health and gain strength.

Boarding house in Dzhemete

In the resort village there are several sanatoriums that are open all year round. Of course, most holidaymakers come here in the summer, but many vacationers come to Dzhemete in the off-season. This is not surprising, because in spring and autumn the air contains the most sea salts, as well as phytoncides released by coniferous trees.

Local sanatoriums help patients with problems of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, nervous system, diseases of the skin and subcutaneous fat, gastrointestinal tract and musculoskeletal system. The healing climate of Dzhemete helps to cure gynecological and urological diseases. Ailments recede after sea swimming, sunbathing, mud therapy courses and drinking hydrogen sulfide water “Matsesta Anapa”.

In addition to sanatoriums, health programs in Dzhemete are offered by boarding houses and recreation centers. Many tourists stay in the private sector and, to solve their problems, use the medical facilities of sanatoriums - they consult with doctors, go for procedures and massages.

Excursions

While vacationing in Dzhemet, many people travel to Anapa on their own to see the sights of the famous resort. In the city it is interesting to visit the local history museum, the Gorgippia archaeological museum-reserve and the White Square art gallery. It's nice to stroll along the picturesque Anapa embankment and look into the Bathyscaphe tunnel aquarium.

From Dzhemete they carry bus tours to the African show and the knightly tournament in Sukko, to the Utrish Dolphinarium, the cultural and tourist complex "Russia", to the winery in Sauk-Dere, to Taman, Novorossiysk, the Lotus Valley located in the Temryuk region, as well as to the dolmens and waterfalls on the mountain river Zhane.

Accommodation

Most tourists coming to Dzhemete choose accommodation in the private sector. Holidays in guest houses, mini-hotels and private apartments are not only cheaper - holidaymakers can choose comfortable accommodation and choose any option to suit their needs. There is one more plus. If in Anapa private sector housing is concentrated in the center and on the outskirts of the city, then in Dzhemet it is located on the very shore or at a short distance from the sea.

Very good value for money can be found in guest houses with 10-20 rooms. They are aimed at welcoming parents with children, so in addition to the traditional amenities - air conditioning, refrigerator and TV, they also offer additional services. In the courtyards, as a rule, there are playgrounds for children and small swimming pools.

In addition, almost everywhere in Dzhemet, the owners are ready to provide residents with full board. This is convenient for those who want to devote their entire vacation to relaxation without wasting time and energy standing at the stove. For tourists who want to save money, guest houses have kitchens with everything they need to prepare their own food.

You can purchase the necessary products at the Dzhemetinsky market and in the shops of the resort village. In summer, fresh fruits and vegetables are sold from cars in the aisles along Pionersky Prospekt.

Those who come to the Black Sea coast with their own cars like to stay at the Blue Spruce camping site (21 Pionersky Ave.). This is one of the most picturesque places in Dzhemete. The parking lot and tent camp are located in the shade of tall trees. The campsite has a canteen with three meals a day, where delicious dishes of traditional Kuban cuisine are prepared for guests.

Transport

The main means of transportation around Anapa and its suburbs are minibuses and buses. In Dzhemet they run along Pionersky Avenue. Route taxi No. 114 goes from Vityazevo (Peschany farm) through Dzhemete, Central and Southern markets of Anapa to microdistrict 3B. You can use it, as well as minibus No. 128, to the Anapa bus station and port.

Minibuses start at 7:00 and end at 22:00. Conveniently, the interval between them is small - from 4 to 10 minutes. Minibuses stop anywhere if the driver sees a potential passenger with his hand raised. However, it is better to board them at stops.

Vacationers in Dzhemet are not recommended to take a private taxi on the streets, as taxi drivers charge unreasonably high prices for their services. If you need to take a taxi, it is better to order a car in advance by phone or online.

Many people travel around Dzhemete and its surroundings by bicycle. In the resort village there are rental points for adult and children's bicycles, ATVs and Segways.

Excursion to Abrau-Durso

Holidays Blagoveshchenskaya village, Anapa, housing, private sector, low prices. Book a taxi Blagoveshchenskaya 89185652080 The Abrau-Durso Valley is located in the vicinity of the hero city of Novorossiysk, among majestic mountains covered with relict forests. In the center of the valley there is a blue lake. Abrau, which in its beauty resembles the famous Fr. Ritsa and delights everyone who sees him for the first time. This mountain lake is located at an altitude of 80 m above sea level and translated from Turkic means “failure”. You will find out why the lake and the valley are so named by visiting our excursion. Near Lake Abrau, on the shore, there is the famous Abrau-Durso winery, which was founded in the 19th century by the chief winemaker of the Tsar’s department, Prince Lev Sergeevich Galitsin. He is called in Russia “the father of Russian champagne.” For, at his invitation, a group of French champagne makers arrived in Abrau-Durso to build tunnels in the thickness of the mountains and produce classic champagne.

Since then and to this day, the table and champagne wines of this estate have been famous, this is evidenced by numerous diplomas, bronze, silver and gold awards received at various tasting exhibitions. And you can see this for yourself by visiting one of the 4 tasting rooms (Galician, French, Tsarist or museum).

Well, those who remain indifferent to wine can have a good and fun time swimming in the lake.

In the Sukko Valley, next to a mountain lake - one of the most vibrant, exotic places in the resort city of Anapa, there is an excursion and tourist complex "African Village". Over the many years of its existence, the complex has gained popularity, decorated and diversified the excursion service of the “pearl” of the Black Sea coast of the resort city of Anapa with its originality, African ethnicity, and exoticism. Here, dear tourists, every day there are wonderful show programs of the professional African group “Rhythms of Africa”, where you and your children are not only spectators, but also participants in the show.

The “African Village” hosts programs: for the whole family - “Wild Africa” - dances, rituals, customs of African tribes. A wonderful interactive show program lasting 1.5 hours. In the evening, a special show program has been developed for adults, where artists professionally work with the audience: they sing in disco style in French, dance in rap and break styles, and show an erotic show with a national flavor. Our show program surprises and delights the audience with the unique abilities of the professional artists of the show group “Rhythms of Africa”, their originality, colorful carnival costumes, the complexity of performing national dances and tricks during the show.

In the cozy valley of the village of Sukko, not far from the city of Anapa, is located the Lion's Head castle, specially created for holding knightly tournaments.

The knights' castles and those who lived in them have long disappeared, but many are still interested in this mysterious time - the Middle Ages. The era of knights and beautiful ladies, barbaric customs and the Inquisition. All this happened a long time ago, but the spirit of chivalry comes to life these days, it is in each of us, it’s just a little deafened by the noise of big cities. And if the dream of reviving chivalry lives in your hearts, then accept the invitation from the Master and hurry to the castle, the stands are waiting for spectators, brave knights are ready to fight for the honor of their ladies, the jesters have prepared the best of their jokes, the dancers are ready to show the most exotic numbers, and the generous owner The castle always welcomes guests. Holidays Blagoveshchenskaya village, Anapa, housing, private sector, low prices. Order a taxi Blagoveshchenskaya 89185652080

Already on the forest path leading to the castle, which you have to walk, you can feel the atmosphere of those times. And at the end of the path, the magnificent view of the castle (designed for 1200 spectators), with its battlements, lattice gates and bastions, will finally take you back to the Middle Ages. Simple but comfortable seats for spectators, excellent visibility of the lists, an awning that protects from rain and sun - all this will allow you to enjoy the performance with sufficient comfort. But it has been the custom since ancient times that there is no spectacle without bread, and glorious victories in knightly tournaments have always been accompanied by feasts, at which the winners and losers raise cups for their ladies. The cafe, located next to the castle, will allow you to observe this tradition.

The “Knight's Tournament”, held in the Lion's Head Castle, is a vibrant theatrical performance. All fights are carried out using steel weapons and according to rules that are as close as possible to those that actually existed in the 13th century. The spectacle has its own storyline - brave knights demonstrate courage and defend their honor on the lists, not all of them behave nobly, but in a dramatic denouement...! The drama of the performance is enhanced by spectacular music and lighting.

The tournament is a unique and unforgettable spectacle, the memories and impressions of which you will carry in your soul through many years!

The Ataman exhibition complex is located on the shore of the Taman Bay in the village of Taman. The idea of creating “Atamani”, which is a historical reconstruction of the Cossack village, belongs to the governor of the Krasnodar Territory A. N. Tkachev.

Construction of the Ataman complex began in 2009. Districts, ministries, public organizations and institutions of the Krasnodar Territory took part in the construction. In accordance with the master plan, each farmstead gives visitors an idea of some topic related to the life, material culture, crafts, and folklore of the Kuban Cossacks. The huts were built using modern construction technologies, but externally they were stylized as Cossack huts of the late 18th - early 20th centuries. The farmsteads of the village are unique mini-museums. Recreation village Blagoveshchenskaya, Anapa, housing, private sector, low prices. Book a taxi Blagoveshchenskaya 89185652080 The main value of the Ataman exhibition complex is the original documents, photographs, tools, household items of the late 18th - early 20th centuries, donated by the residents of Kuban specifically for the opening of such a complex. And this is the main confirmation that the governor’s idea of creating Atamani was close to the residents of Kuban. The total area of the Atamani territory is more than 60 hectares. In addition to the theme dedicated to the history of the Kuban Cossacks, part of its museum exhibitions are dedicated to the rich history of the entire Taman Peninsula as a whole. Such historical reconstructions as the “Valley of the Scythians”, the Hermonassa historical park, the Great Silk Road trail, a copy of the world-famous Tmutarakan stone, found by the Cossacks at the end of the 18th century when dismantling the old fortress in Taman, and currently stored in the State Hermitage , Military Hill - provide an opportunity for guides to tell Atamani visitors about the main periods of the region’s rich history. Part of the complex is dedicated to organizing leisure and recreation. For those who like to combine educational trips with active recreation, a volleyball court, a climbing wall and an obstacle course have been built. A fairytale kingdom, children's playgrounds, and a small petting zoo are interesting for visitors with children of any age.

The Ataman exhibition complex carries educational functions, and also strengthens the spiritual unity and peace of the peoples of the Krasnodar region. All his activities are aimed at preserving and developing national cultural traditions, native language, studying history, the life of the peoples inhabiting the region, and reviving folklore. "Ataman" has become a unifying cultural center for the regions of the Krasnodar Territory. Atamani employees pay great attention to holding events that shape the ethnocultural worldview of children and youth. Particular attention is paid to events where schoolchildren can consolidate the knowledge acquired in Kuban studies lessons, as well as get to know the traditional crafts of Kuban, ancient Cossack rituals, and participate in master classes and educational and entertainment programs. Pavel Astakhov, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, who visited Ataman, gave a positive assessment of the work with the younger generation carried out at the exhibition complex. The exhibition complex is also famous for hosting ethnic folklore festivals. Festivals such as the Festival of Spiritual Culture, “Rainbow of Family Talents”, “There is No Translation for the Cossack Family”, “Wedding Ataman”, festivals dedicated to Kuban cuisine, regional competitions and performances of folk art groups have already become traditional. Residents of the village of Taman organized their own folk ensemble “Atamanochka”. The ensemble members collect ancient Cossack songs and introduce them to the rituals of the Kuban Cossacks: matchmaking, weddings, initiation into the Cossacks, seeing off a Cossack for military service. Each ritual is a performance in which visitors to the complex can take part, feel the color and way of life of the Kuban Cossacks. “Ataman” has become an iconic and visited place for residents of the region and all of Russia. Guests from abroad became frequent guests. Even on weekdays the number of visitors reaches three thousand people. Every year, interest in the exhibition complex is growing, and if in 2010 Ataman was visited by 102 thousand people, then in 2014 more than 220 thousand people became guests of the Cossack village. Today Ataman is illuminated both around the perimeter of the complex and inside. Visitors to the complex note that from season to season, staying in the exhibition complex becomes more and more comfortable and interesting.

Military Hill Military Hill is a unique open-air museum of military equipment, which is located on both sides of the highway (Kalinina Street) running through the city of Temryuk. The museum's exposition contains a large amount of military equipment from the Great Patriotic War and equipment of later times. Despite the fact that some of the exhibits are not very well preserved (for example, the legendary Katyusha), they are all genuine. Holidays Blagoveshchenskaya village, Anapa, housing, private sector, low prices. Order a taxi Blagoveshchenskaya 89185652080 In the museum you can look at the equipment of all types of troops: ground (tanks, guns, armored personnel carriers, cars), air (fighters, helicopters, transport workers), sea (torpedo boat, mines, torpedoes, depth charges), railway (steam locomotive and carriages). Artillery and air defense systems are also widely represented. In the center of the exhibition there is a monument (T-134 tank on a pedestal) dedicated to the liberation of the city of Temryuk from the fascist invaders, and the great feat of our people. That is, to fully experience all the boyish pleasures of staying in such an interesting place. In 2013, the Military Hill Museum turned 30 years old. The museum includes more than 100 real exhibits and has no analogues in the country.

Taman is an unfairly forgotten corner of Kuban. This is the village of the Temryuk district with the administrative center of Temryuk, this is the Taman Peninsula. Taman is already the Sea of Azov. This is simply Taman - a place of estuaries, expansive grape plantations, healing mud volcanoes, relaxing holidays and hidden secrets of the peoples of the world. Once upon a time, at this crossroads of earthly civilization, human activity was seething. One conqueror was replaced by another, leaving behind human casualties and destruction. And only the remaining monuments of deep antiquity silently testify to past events. Seeing them, you try to imagine how people lived and what they dreamed of in those distant times. Until the bustle of people begins to swirl here, we are greeted by silence and grace. Once you have been to these places, you are drawn here again. The most important attraction of Taman is the Tizdar Volcano, located in the village “For the Motherland.” The volcano resembles a small lake (crater), where tourists dive for recovery. The crater is located 50 meters from the Sea of Azov. The dimensions of the lake are 100 by 150 meters, the depth is about a meter. At the bottom of the lake there is healing mud with a high content of hydrogen sulfide, bromine and iodine. After taking a dip in the lake, you can then wash off the healing mud into the sea near the crater. Many vacationers collect it in 1.5 liter bottles outside the volcano, as it is prohibited to take the healing mud with you. It has been noticed that one person gets 2 liters of mud ;)) After the mud comes a visit to the joint tasting room of 3 wineries, followed by the purchase of the types of wine and cognac you like.

There is an ostrich farm in close proximity to the mud volcano. You can feed them (they give out food for ostriches). Here you can also buy ostrich eggs and feathers (you cannot collect feathers yourself). In addition to ostriches, there are other animals on the farm.

Centuries of strict principles and Spartan upbringing taught the Circassians to be persistent and hardy. The mentality formed in harsh natural conditions was strengthened by the participation of the mountaineers in military campaigns. The most important traits of men were courage and fearlessness. Experienced warriors passed on the secrets of horse riding to the young, taught them how to use bladed weapons and navigate the terrain. Extreme horse riding and stunts performed by riders amaze with their daring and apparent ease of execution. Since ancient times, in the Caucasus, it has been customary to choose a beauty who is distinguished by impeccable behavior, who knows the traditions of her people, who is fluent in the art of dance and the skill of conversation. Dzhigits compete for the possession of a lamb skin, which will be thrown by the winner at the feet of the beauty.

The walls of the Circassian village are decorated with flags of different nations, symbolizing peace, unity and mutual understanding between people.

An hour and a half of a bright show flies by like one minute. When saying goodbye, the hospitable hosts invite guests to perform the “Friendship of Peoples” dance with them. It’s hard to resist the fiery Caucasian rhythms, and the dance turns into an emotional, crowded performance. The final walk allows you to take another look at the village - the place where the Caucasian legend came to life for many guests.

Among the wide variety of tourist and excursion sites in Anapa, ethnic occupies a special place. The atmosphere of a mountain village created in it is full of rhythmic, incendiary music, feminine and proud dances of Circassian women, and the skill and prowess of horsemen. A visit to the “Circassian village” for guests turns into an emotional acquaintance with the culture and life of the North Caucasian peoples, a memorable journey into their rich past.

On July 5, 2013, the excursion route “Lost Island” opened in the Temryuk region.

Temryuk. Lost Island. The city of Temryuk is located 130 km west of Krasnodar in the north of the Taman Peninsula near the confluence of the Kuban River into the Sea of Azov. A little further, on the border of sea and fresh water, is the Lost Island, overlooking the sea on one side, with river thickets of water lilies and lotuses on the other. From the pier of the city's river station (reconstruction is being completed), eight brand new boats ply to the mysterious island, accompanied by a guide.

Visitors are transported by boat to the island, where there are cafes, entertainment infrastructure, playgrounds, water attractions, etc. Islanders are offered to try diving in mud baths. The baths, five meters in diameter, are filled with the famous healing volcanic mud. Vacationers can try its cosmetic effect and have fun in the viscous attraction. Although the largest mud volcano and a large colony of small volcanoes of the Rotten Mountain remain in Temryuk, one in the city center, others on its outskirts, the island’s open-air baths will provide no less pleasure. Those who like fishing will have the opportunity to fish both in the river and in the sea. Rest in the village of Blagoveshchenskaya, Anapa, housing, private sector, low prices. During the boat trip, tourists will hear a story about the history of the region and enjoy the picturesque shores. They learn that the Kuban once flowed into the Black Sea, forming the Kurchansky Estuary - an elongated shallow bay with low banks. In 1819, the Cossacks dug a canal, changing the river bed and letting fresh water into the salty Akhtanizovsky estuary. The waters of the Kuban headed towards the Sea of Azov, taking sand with it, forming numerous islands, weaving them into the sand spit.

The organizers of the route tried to provide vacationers with maximum comfort and safety. The beach has changing rooms, sun umbrellas, sun loungers, stationary toilets, and a lifeguard station. In the shopping arcades you will be able to purchase vegetables, fruits, and souvenirs, reports the press service of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Krasnodar Territory.

The Akhtanizovsky estuary is located very close to the villages of Golubitskaya, Peresyp, Akhtanizovskaya, Starotitarovskaya. Lotus plantings in the Krasnodar Territory were made artificially in the early 1980s, but in Taman the lotus took root well only in this estuary. A suitable depth of no more than a meter and warm fresh water were suitable for an exotic flower, and today lotus plantations are one of the attractions of the Taman Peninsula. The shores of the Akhtanizovsky estuary are swampy, so you can safely get to the lotuses only by boat or speedboat. Holidays Blagoveshchenskaya village, Anapa, housing, private sector, low prices. Excursions to the Lotus Valley are sold from any travel agency agent. You can easily buy them in any of the resort villages in the Krasnodar Territory. However, if you come by car, you can go to the boat parking lot on your own, where you will be offered a boat of any size with a captain. To do this, you need to get on the Temryuk-Strelka highway, near the bridge over Kazachiy Erik, take the exit and follow the signs “Lotuses”. The path from there will run through a man-made canal; it was dug by the Cossacks more than 200 years ago to connect the Akhtanizovsky estuary with the fresh water of the Kuban River. If you go on your own, the journey to the valley will take about 15 minutes on a small boat, and about 40 minutes on a boat (if you go with an excursion). The route is interesting due to the unusualness and richness of the canal’s nature. By the way, fishing lovers can also go here; upstream, where excursion boats do not go, Erik is rich in ram, perch, pike, and bream.

Not far from the place where the Cossack Erik flows into the Akhtanizovsky Estuary you will see lotuses. Indian pink lotus grows here. The flowers reach 10-15 cm in diameter and bloom actively from mid-July to the end of August. Do not forget that the lotus in the Krasnodar Territory is listed in the Red Book, so you cannot pick the flowers. However, this is meaningless since a plucked lotus flower does not live very long.
