Thus, a holiday with small children in Anapa can be overshadowed from June to July by algae blooms, which wash ashore in large quantities. Despite the attempts of local authorities to clean the beach from this disgrace, this does not always and not happen everywhere.

For example, in some areas of the city, these algae are collected in a heap and left there... For several days... Under the sun... The smell is still the same.

Local residents came up with a good and “kind” tale about the medicinal properties of these algae. But this is just a fairy tale. In fact, during Soviet times, the seabed ecosystem near the city was disrupted, which led to the annual release of these algae onto the shore. The second disadvantage of the resort town of Anapa, where small children enjoy holidays, is the sewage drain into the open sea. Yes, many will say that this happens several hundred meters from the coastline, and yes, the same problem exists in Sochi, but gentlemen, this is wastewater, and the sea tends to ebb and flow. As far as we know, the drain pipes are located within the city, so it can be considered a relatively safe holiday for children in Anapa, on the outskirts of the city.

The third disadvantage is the lack of the desired water transparency. But here you need to choose for yourself. A sandy beach means muddy water, but it’s pleasant for your feet to step on. On the other hand, on the rocky Anapa beach the situation is much better. It has always been believed that the more stones, the cleaner the water, but poor legs...

The extreme disadvantages, in our opinion, are the prices for the toilet - 20 rubles and the periodic invasion of jellyfish. Regarding jellyfish, this usually happens in warm, windless weather that lasts for several days. Agree, it’s unpleasant to drive away the transparent, shapeless mass by fingering the water. And it’s unlikely that when choosing a summer vacation in Anapa you were ready for such a turn of events.

But, there is such a thing as a budget, and in Anapa you can save a lot of it, compared to other Russian resorts, of course.

What to see in Anapa with children

The most popular place to visit is Dino-Park Rex (Mira Street). Figures of all known species of ancient lizards are collected here. Archaeological Museum "Gorgippia"

Anapa "Gorgippia" is a branch of the Krasnodar Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve. Anapa is a city with a rich history; the entire museum exhibition is dedicated to the time when the resort was a part of the ancient world. The museum itself is divided into several parts.

The first is the Archaeological Reserve. The ancient city, located on the territory of modern Anapa, bore the same name “Gorgippia”, but it burned down, leaving behind a few fragments of neighborhoods and buildings - streets paved with stone, part of the fortress wall, churches, residential buildings and tombs. This “open-air” part of the exhibition is open to guests. The main attraction is the tomb of Hercules, decorated with bas-reliefs and frescoes. Here you can also see an open exhibition of large stone products, construction parts and agricultural implements.

In the “Ancient City of Gorgippia” hall, with an area of ​​200 square meters, you can get acquainted with the history of the city, look at ancient artifacts and fragments of the painting of the Crypt of Hercules. The next room, “Before and After Gorgippia,” presents exhibits telling about the history of the Anapa region, from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.

Anapa lighthouse

The lighthouse is one of the main attractions of the city, which is depicted on many local souvenirs. The 21-meter tower was built over ten years, from 1898. In 1909, the lighthouse became operational and was used for its intended purpose until 1943, when it was blown up by retreating Nazi troops.

According to local legend, the Germans never managed to leave the city. Having planted explosives in the lighthouse, they retreated to the sea, but Soviet troops drove them into the lighthouse, where they died, blown up by their own mine.

A new octagonal tower with black horizontal stripes was built in 1955. Today the lighthouse is a popular place for photo and video shooting; it offers a beautiful view of the sea, Bolshoi Utrish and Bald Mountain.
