How to get to the city
If you are driving your own car, stay close to the new terminal of Simferopol airport. St. Nicholas Cathedral
The religious building, a 19th-century building, was planned and built in honor of the liberating heroes during the Crimean War. All small national communities donated funds for its construction, and Emperor Alexander III also allocated a significant part. Under the USSR, they wanted to blow up the building, but the official order was never issued.
Armenian Church of St. Nikoghayos
Built on the territory of the former region of Armenia, which occupied the suburb of Gezlev. Construction took place at the beginning of the 19th century. Synagogue of Yeghia-Kapai
The building was built in the 20th century. But it did not serve long as a haven for the Jewish diaspora; with the coming to power of the Communist Party, the religious building was equipped as a stable, and later as a warehouse. In the late 1990s, the walls heard prayers here again.
Temple of St. Elijah
Another building from the 20th century, rising right on the embankment. This is a Greek church, and donations for the construction were collected reluctantly and slowly, so community members turned to municipal authorities for help.
