The only disappointments are the insufficient infrastructure and low level of service. The distance from Simferopol to Feodosia is more than 100 km, but it will not be difficult to overcome it. There are more than enough minibuses in Feodosia. They run throughout the city and beyond, delivering those who wish to Koktebel and other nearby settlements. Minibuses are affordable, but not always comfortable.

By bus you can travel from Feodosia to 43 settlements. In total, there are more than 240 flights. Moreover, this figure includes both local routes and intercity routes departing to Krasnodar, Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk and many other cities.

History of appearance: diversity of times

Since Feodosia is very ancient and has repeatedly changed hands, and the main coastal street is long, it does not represent a single architectural complex, and it is impossible to name the exact date of its foundation.

Also A.P. Chekhov, admiring the Feodosia bathing, left rather skeptical reviews about the settlement itself, calling it “dusty.” He didn’t see any beauty better than the “stunted tree” on the shore; he was attracted only by the sea.

But still, the coast was built up by all the owners of the policy. A fragment of a tower from Genoese times has been preserved here, when Feodosia was called Kafa and was the administrative center of Italian possessions in Crimea. The so-called Stamboli Dacha and the Art Gallery building are examples of architecture from the century before last.

Reflecting the entire history of the city, the embankment was not only a place for swimming and walking, but also an industrial zone (during the Soviet period, the development of industry in Feodosia was given great importance). Consequently, there appeared, among other things, an oil terminal - now it is no longer there, and the beach area has been restored.

But development was especially active in the post-Soviet era, when numerous prestigious hotels, boathouses with direct access to the sea and expensive private houses, also built with an eye on tourists, appeared on the Black Sea embankment. It should be recognized that many of them serve not only mercantile, but also aesthetic purposes, and their modern architecture fits perfectly into the appearance of a resort by the sea. Nowadays you can find literally everything here: from an expensive hotel and a fashionable disco to a gas station and a “wild” beach.
