Historical information

After Peter the Great captured the Azov fortress, the local people - the Nogais - created a new structure, which was called Akhtar-Bakhtar. But in 1774 it was captured by the Russian army. On the site of the fortress, Suvorov built a coastal fortification, so the Cossack village of Primorsko-Akhtarskaya .

It flourished, developed rapidly, and became the main fishing center. Later, a railway was built from Yekaterinburg to the settlement. And in 1880, the seaport began to operate, a wooden pier was built and customs control was organized.

In 1881, the population approximately doubled, industry appeared, and retail outlets and shops opened. During the same period, local authorities agreed to the construction of a lemonade and brick-and-tile factory, three mills and schools. In 1949, the village completely turned into the resort town of Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The city has its own code for calls: 86143, operator - Rostelecom.

Roads to the resort

The distance from Moscow to Primorsko-Akhtarsk is 1300 km. You can get to the resort village by plane or private car. It is best to choose air transport. You will have to fly to Anapa or Krasnodar, since there is no airport in the city itself. Then you can wait for the bus or call a taxi. By train you will also be able to arrive not in the town itself; there are no stations there. The trip will take about 20 hours, then you need to find a car.

From Anapa you will have to go with a transfer in the village of Timashevsk, the whole journey will take 5-6 hours and cost 700 rubles. It is worth visiting the surrounding area of ​​the resort - estuaries and labyrinths, long sand spits. To do this, it is better to rent a car rather than adapt to the schedule of excursion buses.
