Folk calendar about every day

Every day one season always replaces another and this determines a person’s way of life. In connection with this, a folk calendar was formed in which there were practically no nameless, unmarked days. Every day was special, had its own purpose. All this was determined by climate conditions and astrological phenomena.

A calendar is a system for counting periods of time. The first calendars arose a long time ago, in ancient times, because there was a need to measure time. The word calendar comes from the Latin words caleo - to proclaim and calendarium - debt book. This is due to the fact that in Ancient Rome the beginning of each month was especially proclaimed, and because it was customary to pay debts on the first day of the month. Different peoples counted time differently. Some calendars are based on the changing phases of the moon - lunar calendars; in others - the change of seasons - sunny; in others, the length of the year was coordinated with the change of seasons, and the counting of months was associated with the phases of the Moon. Such calendars are called lunisolar.

In Rus', the calendar was called a monthly calendar. Every day, the month book covered the entire year of peasant life, “describing” day by day, month after month, where each day had its own holidays or weekdays, customs and superstitions, traditions and rituals, natural signs and phenomena. The cyclical nature of the calendar is reminiscent of human life, where spring is youth, summer is heyday, autumn is the time of harvesting fruits (it’s good if there are some, otherwise you can live your life without collecting fruits), winter is the time of wisdom and peace. This cyclicality and rhythm determined the way of life of the farmer. The folk calendar was an agricultural calendar, which was reflected in the names of the months, folk signs, rituals and customs. Even the determination of the timing and duration of the seasons is associated with real climatic conditions. Hence the discrepancy between the names of the months in different areas... Fishing calendar for every day

The fishing calendar should not be taken as an absolutely indisputable truth. Fish biting is greatly influenced by a whole range of natural factors, as well as the influence on the nature of man himself. You must not forget that the fish’s bite depends and is determined not only by the calendar dates and biological cycles of their life, reflected in the calendar, but also, no less, by the state of their habitat; the bite also depends on weather conditions: air and water temperatures, cloudiness, wind direction and strength, etc... Cities of the Republic of Mordovia

Saransk is the capital of Mordovia. Only 300 thousand people live here, but good living conditions have been created for them. Saransk is good. The city has a lot of greenery, normal roads, and even has a two-story McDonald's (in a city with 300 thousand inhabitants!!!).

Park area of Saransk. Photo by or-lyuba (https://fotki.yandex.ru/users/or-lyuba/)

Ruzaevka is the second city in Mordovia in terms of population, industry and everything. The population of Ruzaevka is only 46 thousand people. And, in truth, the city resembles more of a large village than a small town. It even has a village name, Ruzaevka, and not some name, for example, Ruzaevsk. The city is an important railway junction. In addition to the railway, local residents can work at the Bismuth, Ruztex and others enterprises. In principle, there is enough work here, but young people still try to leave here.

Orthodox calendar about every day

Orthodox calendar: Orthodox, Church and Christian holidays.

The church year is an alternation of weekdays and holidays. On weekdays, a person is called to work “by the sweat of his brow to earn his bread.” Holidays are given in order to feel liberation, to rise above the bustle and routine of the world, to feel involved in the highest of worlds, “where there are no illnesses, sorrows and sighs, but endless life.” Since ancient times, holiday cycles have been associated with the seasons. The pagans associated them with the worship of the forces of nature, the cult of which in the Old Testament was replaced by gratitude to the Creator for the universe. And although the connection between holidays and the seasons has not completely lost its power, since God is present in everything, in the plant and animal world, in human works, it nevertheless faded into the background, giving way to a spiritual foundation built on the Sacred Scriptures. The history of Orthodox holidays dates back to the times of the Old Testament. Each of the Orthodox holidays is dedicated to the remembrance of the most important events in the life of Jesus Christ and the Mother of God, as well as the memory of saints... [edit] General indicators of population reproduction

The demographic situation in the Republic of Moldova, as in Russia, in 1990-2001. is characterized by the massive spread of small children, the convergence of the parameters of rural and urban birth rates, the postponement of the birth of the first child, the growth of out-of-wedlock births, and the increase in birth rates at a young age of the mother. Since the late 1960s. The birth rate is at a level below that required for simple population reproduction. In Mordovia in 1996, the total fertility rate (the average number of births per woman over her entire life) was equal to 1.2 births (more than 4 - high, less than 2.5 - low). A decrease in the rate of reproduction is typical for all age groups of women. In fact, the setting of marriage pairs is being implemented for 1 child in the family. As a result, the total fertility rate in 1998 was 1.14, in 1999 - 1.07, in 2000 - 1.09. The birth of second and third children has decreased by approximately half. A slight increase was noted in 2000, 154 children more than in 1999. In 2001, it decreased again. The proportion of large families is constantly decreasing. Among them, families raising 3 children mainly predominate. They account for 82% of large families. Families with 4 children make up 12%, 5 - 4, 6 or more - 1%.

Russian folk calendar for every day

The word “sign” comes from the word “notice”, i.e. observe. As a result of observing what happens around a person every day, he accumulates life experience. This knowledge was passed down from generation to generation, carefully preserved and people trusted it as a sacred book. Many signs have come to us from the depths of centuries without losing their knowledge. Each of us is free to choose: to dismiss all this as an absurd superstition or to take a closer look at the signs and take the centuries-old experience of generations more seriously. Most of us, when taking exams, ask them to scold them, boasting about some kind of good fortune or luck, spit so as not to jinx them or knock on wood, take a detour if a black cat crossed the road, are afraid of the number 13 and much more. And who among us does not have lucky things, numbers? Who has never resorted to the help of fate at least once in their life, who has not believed in secrets? It’s as if everything connected with signs is hidden somewhere deep in our subconscious. Often we remember them mechanically, unconsciously, or just as a joke. But, undoubtedly, the signs contain a lot of accurate knowledge and practical wisdom of our ancestors. They cover all the characteristic, often difficult to perceive, natural phenomena. Signs have preserved a lot of what was in old folk holidays and customs; they help predict the weather, grow crops... Next: Folk signs...

Transport of the region

A satellite map of the region allows you to track all transport and logistics hubs of the republic over an area of more than 26 thousand square kilometers. The most important railways for the country pass through this territory, connecting the European part with the Urals and the north of the country with the Volga region. Communications are maintained with Kazakhstan, Siberia, Central Asia, and the Far East. The road infrastructure is also actively developed. They have a length of more than 6 thousand km.

Of these, more than 400 are federal highways, more than 4 thousand are republican ones. The map of Russia shows numerous pipelines, such as Urengoy - Pomary - Uzhgorod, Urengoy - Center-1, Urengoy - Center-2, Yamburg - Yelets-1, Yamburg - Yelets-2. They have a length of more than 13 thousand km. The air transport infrastructure is represented by the airport in Saransk.

The railway in Mordovia is 550 km long. The logistics centers are Saransk, Krasny Uzel and Ruzaevka.

Holiday calendar, dates and events of the year

All state and professional holidays in Russia, including significant World and International holidays, and other equally interesting holidays and events about every day.

The holiday has always kept pace with the history of mankind. Social time can be divided into three types: everyday life (weekdays), weekends and holidays. Everyday life is a series of practices repeated day after day and every day (work). Weekends are regular breaks from the rush of everyday life. It is believed that on weekends a person should restore his strength after working days. Day off, non-working day. A holiday is a day of celebration established in honor or in memory of someone or something. A day or series of days celebrated by the church in memory of a religious event or saint... #TemnikovWon’t Let Go: why tourists from all over Russia come to the oldest city of Mordovia

Temnikov is rightly called the pearl of Mordovia. There are no large industrial production, mineral resources, or significant transport hubs, which usually become drivers of the territory’s development. This region is distinguished by something else: its original nature and rich history - names and dates, the memory of which we are obliged to preserve. The project “Where the Motherland Begins” brought activists of the All-Russian Popular Front to Temnikov land.

The story itself

In the oldest city of the republic, they decided not to wait for someone to transform their beautiful but unkempt city. Remembering the resourceful hero Mark Twain, local talents picked up pencils and depicted on paper how they see Temnikov of the future. with the support of the created Temnikov Tourist Information Center, the bold project grew into an interactive one, and then became the owner of a presidential grant. 30 million rubles will be spent on improving the central part of the city. There will be an alley for newlyweds, a walk of fame, as well as a modern recreation area.

But this is not what makes Temnikov original. Its historical part with ancient commercial buildings, squares and merchant houses attracts to this land not only lovers of ancient architecture, but also those who are tired of the soulless appearance of modern cities. The “front-line soldiers” walked around Temnikov on foot. To the right is a men's school, built by the descendants of the famous metallurgists the Demidovs, to the left are memories of the cathedral, where the great naval commander Admiral Fyodor Ushakov was once buried, and the place of execution of Alena Arzamaskaya. Here is also the building of the Zemstvo Government, an unusually shaped gate and a former hospital where the wounded were taken during the War of 1812. Nowadays the museum of Admiral Fyodor Ushakov has been created in the building.

It would seem like a tourist paradise! However, in addition to the delight and inexplicable awe caused by the large-scale historical events that these courtyards witnessed, wandering through the unusually sincere streets of Temnikov, you experience a feeling of pain and shame. Our generation is witnessing a real cultural catastrophe, when a preserved ancient city, which survived wars, fires and Soviet urban planning experiments, is destroyed before our eyes.

Some objects are used as government institutions, others have been transferred to private hands, but most of the real works of architectural art are abandoned and are in deplorable condition. The district administration plans to renovate 10 historical sites, but the sources of funding are not yet clear. Business is reluctant to contribute to such charity. He promises to clean up the houses they own, remove siding and ugly bright signs. But what was promised, as usual, is worth waiting for... Temnikov also cannot become a participant in the program for preserving the architectural appearance. Surprisingly, the city founded in 1536 does not have the status of a historical settlement, and therefore does not have the corresponding security documentation. But a historical settlement is not just nice words, but a legal concept.

An entire chapter in the law on cultural heritage sites is dedicated to it. the meaning of this term is in the special protection of the historical environment and appearance of such cities. If in an ordinary city you can build and demolish anything, except for cultural heritage sites, then in a historical settlement not only individual monuments are subject to protection, but also the entire historical building, panoramas, and layout.

The city administration is fighting for status, however, this measure, most likely, will not solve the problem either; as practice shows, measures to preserve the appearance of ancient cities in Russia mostly come down to the same thing as creating a comfortable urban environment. We are not talking about expensive reconstruction here. This will require additional financial investments.

Meanwhile, according to the expert of the regional branch of the ONF, candidate of art history Viktor Makhaev, work must begin now. — Until 2024, all buildings must be mothballed. It is important to examine them and start reconstruction from the most dangerous objects, otherwise soon we will only be able to read about the centuries-old history of Temnikov in textbooks,” concluded Viktor Makhaev.

Welcome!

Temnikov can be called the tourist center of Mordovia. No other area has such a number of attractions per square kilometer. Pilgrims come here from all over Russia with good prayers.

Sanaksar Monastery is a place of peace and tranquility. Here Admiral Fyodor Ushakov and his uncle found their last refuge. Many miracles are associated with the name of Elder Jerome, in whose honor a chapel was erected on this land. The road to the monastery is good, which cannot be said about the highway, which through picturesque landscapes leads to the reserve - a landmark territory for the entire republic. "Mordovian Nature Reserve named after. P.G. Smidovich" is not just an oasis of untouched nature, it is an excellent option for organizing a holiday in winter and summer. Tourists are attracted by interesting nature trails and excellent infrastructure. Among those who come on excursions are many schoolchildren. Part of the tourist flow comes from Sarov, which is just a stone's throw away.

– We would come more often, but the road from Temnikov to Zhegalovo is a real obstacle. The thirst for adventure cannot overcome the risk to children’s health and the fear of damaging the car, say residents of the neighboring Nizhny Novgorod region.

The ONF Road Inspectorate has already drawn attention to this emergency section of the road. The damaged road artery, about 20 kilometers long, has not disappeared from the interactive map of the project since then. The problem should be solved by the national project “Safe and High-Quality Highways,” initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the plan, in the next two years the Kovylkino - Krasnoslobodsk - Elniki - Pervomaisk - Purdoshki - Zhegalovo - Temnikov highway will receive a rebirth. Hundreds of tourists will undoubtedly come to the city of the intelligentsia along the new highway. However, off-road conditions seem to be the calling card of the Temnikovsky district. There are basically no country roads here. there are only directions. Fortunately, the sand prevents local primers from turning into mush in bad weather. However, potholes and pits do not frighten those who dream of getting acquainted with real rural exoticism and trying treats prepared with soul.

The ethno-house “Russian” in the village of Alekseevka will take you back centuries. Here you will not only be given delicious food with real monastery bread and fragrant jam, but you will also be able to play ancient musical instruments. The hidden place of the village is a miraculous spring. The landmark of the village of Lesnoye Tsibaevo is the house of the milkman, who is constantly “in the field of mowing”.

“Even in winter,” local housewives joke. In the wooden hut they will tell you, show you and let you try excellent dairy products. Butter, cottage cheese, fermented baked milk, milk and yogurt can be bought as a gift for your family and friends. In the ethno-house “Mordovian” you are treated to poza and traditional millet pancakes.

— All these places contain the history and life of the people of that time. And it is very important for all of us to feel connected to previous generations. Their experience accumulated over the years must be used in every possible way, and not ignored, because respect for one’s roots is also a manifestation of patriotism and love for one’s small homeland,” noted Lyudmila Narbekova, moderator of the ONF “culture” thematic platform in the Republic of Mordovia.

{module Advertising from YAN in the body of the article, block No. 6}

A separate program awaits those who want to get to know the biography of Fyodor Ushakov better. The village of Alekseevka, where the admiral’s house once stood, will soon come to life thanks to augmented reality technology. The museum named after the great admiral, founded in 1901, amazes with the variety of exhibits. It is planned that the complex will soon move to another building.

You need to walk slowly along Temnikov. In order to get acquainted with all the sights, you need two to three days. Make sure you have an overnight stay in advance - there is a hotel in the city; sleeping accommodations are offered by the tourist complex of the reserve, as well as the monastery. Remember that very hospitable people live on this earth. They always welcome guests and also will not refuse travelers, who are now worth their weight in gold here.

Zodiac, astrological, eastern calendar. Zodiac signs

In ancient times, to establish the calendar, priests used knowledge of the positions of all the planets. Before the reform of Peter 1, the New Year was celebrated on the Day of the Autumn Equinox. On this day, according to ancient legend, the most peaceful treaty was concluded between the Great Race (ancient Slavs) and the Great Dragon (ancient Chinese) and it was approximately 7518 years ago... For the ancient Slavs, the calendar month corresponded to the lunar cycle from new moon to new moon, taking into account such Thus, the relationship of the entire annual cycle with astronomical and natural phenomena. There was no coherent calendar system. The main natural phenomena are still considered to this day to be the days of the solar equinox and solstice - the Slavic holidays Maslenitsa, Kupala, Ovsen and Kolyada. But during the time of Peter 1, all ancient Slavic calendars were abolished and a new Western European calendar from the Nativity of Christ (Julian calendar) was introduced, while the beginning of the calendar was moved to January 1. The Julian calendar (old style) did not take leap days into account and accumulated one extra day every 128 years. After the October Revolution in 1918, the Gregorian calendar (new style) was introduced in Russia, according to which an amendment of 13 days was introduced. The calendar of the ancient Slavs was based on two planets: the Sun and the Moon. And now they don’t use anything at all. The calendar has become static. There is no such thing as the calendar, it turns out, resting on some planet. Nobody even knows about it. There are just some standard numbers, there are months and holidays. The calendar is based on the Sun and Moon. Why is this so? Because these two luminaries influence the Earth. The Earth revolves around the Sun, and the Moon revolves around the Earth. And these two luminaries create the atmosphere on the planet. From here the calendar is built... Next: Astrological calendar...

General information and history of Mordovia

There are so many regions in Russia that poorly educated young people sometimes get dizzy and confuse Moldova with Mordovia.
At the federal level, there is no big news from Saransk and the surrounding area, so the population knows little about such a wonderful region. Some people have only heard about Mordovia in translations by Goblin (a famous translator of foreign films). In the goblin translation of The Lord of the Rings, Mordor was called Mordovia. It must be admitted that Mordovia became synonymous with God-forsakenness long before the first translations of Goblin. For example, in the book by the famous writer Dovlatov “Branch,” a wife says to her husband, who is admiring a coffee vending machine: “You’re not in Mordovia, stuffed animal!” And if we add to these images the Soviet Gulag, which had extensive representation in Mordovia, then it is not at all surprising that people consider this region to be something distant, cold, wild and frightening. But in fact, it’s just a stone’s throw from Saransk to Moscow, and Saransk itself is a lovely city. In 2011, he even won a competition for the most comfortable city in Russia. Of course, we know how these competitions are held, but still. The city is really well maintained.

Saransk. Photo by naum-lidiya (https://fotki.yandex.ru/users/naum-lidiya)

Little was known about Mordovia even in Soviet times. The only thing that added to the region’s fame was a famous joke:

“The Supreme Council of the Soviet Union discussed the issue of unifying the Jewish Autonomous Region and Mordovia. In the end, it was decided not to unite them, since the disputing parties did not come to a consensus on the name of the new republic: one side proposed to call it Zhido-Mordovskaya, and the second - Morda Zhidovskaya...” (The editors of the project are neither Semites, much less anti-Semites No one needs to be offended. This is our folklore. This is our history.)

Let's return to the region. As already mentioned, the first thing Mordovia is known for is its camps. Let me quote Dovlatov again:

“The ceremonial part lasted only about twenty minutes. The manager himself spoke the longest. At the end he said: “We will forever remain prisoners of fascism.” After all, what we experienced is not forgotten... - Is he also a prisoner of war? - I asked the armless Gurchenko. “This bloke from the theater,” answered the old man, “appointed him to the party committee.” He has been performing here for four years... He should go to Mordovia for three years... For logging..."

The camps in Mordovia are located mainly in the western part of the republic. As you know, the Soviet government is very vindictive. At one time, Mordovia tried to resist the young revolutionaries, and as punishment the region was awarded a large number of camps. In those years, the communists suppressed the Mordovian uprisings with the help of chemical weapons.

One of the Mordovian colonies

Now only memory and history remind us of those terrible times. The current government in the republic is in excellent relations with United Russia and Putin. In all elections there is a good turnout and abundant support for United Russia. On the territory of the republic there is a pathetic monument “Forever with Russia”.

Until 2012, everything in the region was controlled by Governor Merkushkin. In fact, the entire republic was his principality. He led the region for 17 years and during this time he managed to place the people he needed in key positions and successfully set up all the processes in the republic for himself. Local residents say that not so long ago Merkushkin could have been imprisoned, but he found a compromise with the country's leadership and began to develop sports in the region with his own money. So far, no great success has been achieved in this regard. True, a large hockey stadium was built in the republic, but the game with the puck is not yet very developed, there are no corresponding traditions and no good schools.

A lot of money was invested in the Mordovia football team, which from the second division of domestic football reached the Premier League, but the Saransk football players failed to stay there. The flow of money to the team decreased slightly, and that was it, a fiasco. And why all? There are no traditions or a strong sports school. They invest money and shabby athletes come. No money - no athletes - no victories.

The situation with the football stadium in Saransk characterizes the regional leadership well. Until 2010, the local team played in the city at the normal Svetotekhnika stadium, which could seat 14,000 people, but it was suddenly demolished to make way for a square. The replacement for Svetotekhnika was the Start stadium, which accommodated only 5.3 seats. Is there any logic? There is no logic. When Svetotekhnika was demolished, they officially announced that they would build a 30,000-seat stadium in Mordovia as a replacement, but the promises have still not come true.

In 2022, during the FIFA World Cup, Saransk should become one of the host cities of the competition. No one will allow World Cup games to be held at Start, so the region’s leadership will have to invest money and build a new stadium with a capacity of 44 thousand spectators. Who will need him after the end of the championship is unknown. The local Mordovia, which currently plays in the second most important Russian league, will have full stands only if it hands out free beer during matches or shows a striptease during the break.

Talking about the distinctive features of Mordovia, one cannot fail to mention the interesting situation with the anniversaries of the region. In 2012, Saransk celebrated the thousandth anniversary of the annexation of Mordovia to Russia. It is curious that this date was already celebrated in 2006, and 500 years ago in the eighties. Time flies so quickly in this wonderful land.

However, despite all the oddities and oddities, Mordovia is a convenient region for living, and its capital is one of the best cities in Russia.

Geographical position

Mordovia is located in the eastern part of the East European Plain, approximately halfway between Moscow and the Volga. Part of the republic is located on the Volga Upland, and part on the Oka-Don Plain. The highest point of Mordovia rises to 324 meters. In the south, the region borders on the Penza region, in the west - on the Ryazan region, in the northeast the neighbor is Chuvashia, in the east - the Ulyanovsk region, and in the north - the Nizhny Novgorod region.

It is worth noting that Mordovia is the closest Russian republic to Moscow: from the Moscow Ring Road to the western border of Mordovia by road - 398 km, and if you fly directly by helicopter, then 330 km. However, despite its proximity to the capital, Mordovia belongs to the Volga Federal District, and not to the Central.

Population

The indigenous population of Mordovia is Mordva, which is divided into two nations: Moksha and Erzya. The Erzya language also has a dialect called Shoksha. True, this is an almost extinct language; no one speaks it. There are also dialects Karatai and Teryukhansky. Teryukhansky is a mixture of Tatar and Erzyan languages.

Russians in Mordovia are approximately a little more than half of the total population, and therefore the Russian language is in use there. Indigenous Mordovian youth prefer to speak Russian and do not know their languages well. It is very difficult to distinguish a Mordvin from a Russian outwardly; we have all been mixed up for a long time.

In other regions of Russia, visitors from Mordovia may have a characteristic accent - they stretch out vowels at the end of words, pronounce words in a sing-song manner, and can place several stresses on one word. In addition, in Mordovian languages, nouns have no gender, and therefore native speakers often make mistakes in Russian: “I bought a cat, but he doesn’t eat well.” True, this applies mainly to the older generation; young people speak typical Russian.

Saransk embankment. Photo by or-lyuba (https://fotki.yandex.ru/users/or-lyuba/)

In addition to speech, a real Mordvin can be given away by a surname - it combines a root of unknown meaning with the suffix -kin, so the surname sounds funny and rustic. For example, Kaniskin. Only the Mordovians know what “kanis” is. There are also surnames ending in –ev, which are derived from Old Mordovian names. For example, Gundyaev. By the way, the surname Gundyaev is Patriarch Kirill, who in the world is Vladimir Gundyaev, a real Erzya.

Mordovians in Mordovia are approximately 40%. There are about 53% Russians, there are also 5% Tatars. You can meet many Mordovians in Moscow. It’s a short drive from Saransk to the Mother See, and young people, at the first opportunity, try to go to the capital. There are quite a lot of cars in Moscow with Mordovian license plates.

Crime

Now it’s calm in Mordovia, because there’s nothing to divide in the republic. There are really no huge industries or mineral resources. However, in the 90s things were different. Fighters from Mordovia were highly valued in the organized crime group. Local young people left in droves for Moscow to join one group or another. Mordovians were valued for their excellent physical shape, fearlessness and thirst for money. There was no work at all in Saransk and its environs in those years.

Unemployment rate

Mordovia is unlucky with mineral resources. Saransk itself has oil reserves, but it is not produced. Either the reserves are small or they are expensive to extract.

The main industrial sectors in the region are lighting and electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and metalworking, production of medicines, and food industry. In the 90s, Lisma, which produced a wide range of light sources, almost collapsed, but the state helped it. Now the plant has become a state unitary enterprise, and at the very least it has been possible to provide it with orders.

One of Lisma's workshops. Photo by proviandrey (https://fotki.yandex.ru/users/proviandrej/)

There are JSC "Biokhimik" in Mordovia, which produces antibiotics, and other enterprises. There are no particular problems with work in the region. True, some villages have not yet recovered from long years of devastation, but this is observed everywhere in the country. The average salary in the republic is 21,000 rubles. To many, this amount seems small, and therefore people, especially young people, try to go to Moscow. A night on the train - and you’re in the capital, and there are completely different earnings there.

Property value

Real estate in Mordovia is not cheap. The average price per square meter in Saransk exceeds 50 thousand rubles. In Ruzaevka, real estate is much cheaper. For 2 million you can get a good two-room apartment there. In Saransk, this will require 500-600 thousand more.

Climate

The climate in Mordovia is temperate continental. The average January temperature here is −10 °C, and July is +20 °C. Living here is quite comfortable. True, due to the lack of relief, the weather can change dramatically. Northern air masses are replaced by southern ones, and vice versa.
