Gryazi is a city in the Lipetsk region of Russia. Administrative center of the Gryazinsky district. The city of Gryazi forms an urban settlement.

A satellite city of Lipetsk, serving as a railway junction for residents of the regional center. It is part of the Lipetsk-Gryazino agglomeration.

Located on the Matyr River, 20 km southeast of Lipetsk. The height of the city center above sea level is about 120 m. The distance to Moscow is 457 km or 284 miles.

Before the revolution

The history of the city dates back to the 17th-18th centuries.

1868 can be considered the year the city was founded. This year the Moscow-Voronezh railway line passed here. A station was built on it (now Gryazi-Voronezhskiye), which was named after the neighboring large village of Gryazi. The population of the station village began to number 1,300 residents (one hundred and seventy households).

In 1869, lines stretched from here towards Yelets and Borisoglebsk, and the station became a junction.

In subsequent years, the developing station village absorbed the nearby small fortress village of Dmitrievka (currently this is the site of the city where Pervomaiskaya Street runs).

Soviet time

During Soviet times, Gryazi grew significantly and became more comfortable. The Lipetsk writer and poet Tsvetaev, in his poem “City of Mud,” decided to make today’s city more beautiful, focusing on the old “dirty” Mud:

I remember the city of long ago: Half-broken roads, From where a trail of sticky mud stretched to every threshold. But the dirt has receded over the years. Her routes into the city are closed. Now at least walk in slippers - the asphalt is elastic under your feet.

In 1928, at the expense of the South-Eastern Railway, the Railwaymen's Club was built in Gryazi. In 1991, a theater group was created there under the direction of director A. Babin.

In 1938, the first secretary of the Gryazi Republic of Kazakhstan, D.F. Lukinov, proposed renaming the village of Gryazi to the city of Yezhov. For example, at the switch factory, 15 people were arrested, many of whom were shot, including two plant managers. Everyone who gathered for the rally at the railway club took part in the vote on the renaming. However, the unanimous “yes” did not lead to the decision to change the name: Yezhov himself was recognized as an “enemy of the people” and later shot. And on December 4, 1938, the working village of Gryazi received the status of a city with the same name.

In 1963, a reinforced concrete bridge was built across the Matyra River; it connected the city of Gryazi with the former village of Gryazi. Previously there was a pontoon bridge at this place.

In 1965, a monument to the Unknown Soldier was erected on Red Square. In 1985, a Military Glory Memorial with an Eternal Flame was erected on this site. On May 8, 1982, a guards Katyusha mortar, brought from Rzhev by war participant A.I. Timofeev, was installed on the pedestal; The monument was dedicated to the commander of the first battery, Captain I. A. Flerov. The Alley of Heroes was opened next to the memorial in May 2000.

In 1970, another bridge was built in Gryazi - across the Baigora River. The road that passes through the bridge connects Gryazi with Dobrinka.

In 1979, the village of Gryazi joined Gryazi.

We came here temporarily, of course, I’ve been here for 2 years. Well, I want to leave here quickly. There is no entertainment for children. Gypsies are larger than Russians. Drug addicts. Scammers, in short, and the people are very evil.

We moved from the north to Gryazi, Lipetsk region in 2012. We came to buy just a house to go out and relax with our children and grandchildren for the summer. But we really liked it here and decided to move here permanently. Neither I nor my children and grandchildren We regret it. The children and grandchildren settled in Lipetsk, and I am in Gryazi in a private house. I also have an apartment here, but after I lived in the house, I am no longer drawn to the apartment. Many northerners from different regions live here, with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc. And there are also a lot of gypsies. But they don’t seem to bother us from living here. There’s not much crime, except maybe there are isolated ones somewhere. And it’s a quiet, clean town. There are two hospitals, a central district hospital and Railway. Good transport links with Lipetsk, Tambov, Orel and others. Junction railway station, through which almost all trains pass, a beautiful railway station.. There is an equipped city beach near the Matyra River, two large churches. Shopping centers, Line, Pyaterochka, Magnets , Iceberg, large construction centers, etc. A good large market, a swimming pool and other entertainment centers. As well as parks where events are held, such as the Day of the Elderly, with concerts. and a catering kitchen for the elderly. It has its own Red Square, where festive events take place. The Alley of Heroes and the eternal flame for those who died during the Second World War. They opened a new House of Creativity and nearby a new large colorful children's playground. And many more can be listed about the attractions of this city. It grows here absolutely everything, from potatoes to grapes and watermelons. We don’t regret at all that we changed the big city in the north to Gryazi.

Village! Everyone works thanks to Lipetsk. People are angry, quarrelsome, and all around are show-offs. There is nowhere to go. Housing is available because there is no work at all. Everyone survives as best they can. We moved to Gryazi 10 years ago, we really regret it.

The cities of the Lipetsk region are very interesting and each has its own history! I want to talk about GRYAZI! I COME TO GRYAZI EVERY SUMMER AND ENJOY THE HEAT! AND I THINK THAT THIS IS GRYAZINSKAYA HEAT - SPECIAL! There is a city beach! An excellent beach on the shore of a clean river MATYRA.But... there is a very sad prosperity of youth, beach holidays - young selective swearing!! obscenity spills out of the mouths of 7-... years old! regardless of those around... and, you conclude, no matter how much you throw pearls before a swine, you still won’t see!! which is VERY SAD!! I was talking with one very smart 2nd grade boy. To my question, DO YOU LIKE IT AT SCHOOL? the answer is NO! teacher Olga Vyacheslavovna ARET is always on us! (AND I WROTE A SPECIAL ABOUT TEACHERS WITH A SMALL LETTER).OR IS ALSO AN INCREASE TO UNCENSORED!! TO BITTERNESS!AND I WANTED TO ASK THE TEACHER, WERE YOU AND YOUR CLASS IN THE THEATER?Yes!! in LIPETSK!!!! AND YOU YOURSELF, HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THERE? ARRANGING IS NOT DIFFICULT, BUT TEACHING TO THE BEAUTIFUL AND CORRECT IS WORK! AND YOU, DEAR PARENTS, ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PURPENITY OF YOUR CHILD'S SPEECH!!WHEN YOU WAS with him in the theaterB in the museumB at exhibitions at concerts, cinema, the last time? don’t remember? ah! EGYPT, TURKEY...YOU ARE THE ADMINISTRATION OF EDUCATION OF DIRT! I RECOMMEND THAT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS MANDATORY TO VISIT THE THEATER AT LEAST 4 TIMES A YEAR! 1 TIME PER QUARTER !I THINK THIS SHOULD HELP, EVEN NOT EVERY TEENAGE CHILD, BE CLEANER AND MORE CULTURAL IN THEIR HOMETOWN OF DIRT! THANK YOU!!

Three months ago we moved to Gryazi. What can I say - the town is small, there is not much to do here, but it is clean and the air, in my opinion, is cleaner than in Lipetsk. As for housing, it’s definitely cheaper than in Lipetsk! Actually, that’s why we bought a house in Gryazi. My husband is categorically against an apartment, and houses in Gryazi are more affordable.

The city of Gryazi is the center of our vast Russia in terms of the number of entertainment centers, cafes, baths, there are also a lot of events for children and all this thanks to our administration. Some remote areas such as Tavolzhanka, Gryazi-Orlovskiye are park recreation areas of our city, people are huddled there every weekend to get aesthetic pleasure from nature. Come and relax with us WE WILL BE GLAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Roads

-Modern playgrounds should be equipped near apartment buildings. There is no place for children to play. It should be cleaner, garbage should be taken out more often. The roads are bad. The entrances are terrible, without repair.

-There are few normal places to relax and walk with children

-there is no asphalt on my street

Well, Gryazi is a relatively small regional center!! ! Don't let the name scare you, the city's municipal cleaning services do a relatively good job!! ! Most of the population goes to work to Lipetsk, which is about 25 kilometers away, an economic zone is being built between Gryazi and Lipetsk, so far there are only two or three enterprises there, but it is planned to create 12 thousand jobs!! ! I can’t say about housing prices since I’m from Lipetsk

-Parking

-Children's playgrounds and their absence, parking lots, roads

-No chain food stores, no kindergarten, transport rarely runs in the evening

-Utility services need to collect garbage more often, make roads properly, repair them on time, it’s far from the kindergarten, far from the community center

The city of Gryazi is located in the Lipetsk region, within the Oka-Don Plain, on the Matyra River (the left tributary of Voronezh, Don basin), 30 km southeast of Lipetsk. 18 km from Gryazi, in the village of Gudalovka (now Plekhanov), where G.V. Plekhanov was born.

Gryazi-industrial suburb of Lipetsk. You can definitely find a job.

Economy and infrastructure

Industry

The main enterprises of the city are the Gryazinsky hydraulic equipment plant ("Gidravlik", built in 1968-1971), the Gryazinsky cultivator plant, the machine-building plant, the Gryazi-Orlovsky motor locomotive repair plant (after the restructuring of the Ministry of Railways, the plant was reoriented to produce containers, and was subsequently transferred to).

The food industry is represented by the Gryazinsky food plant and the largest in the region Gryazinsky sugar plant (capacity - 15 thousand centners per day, built in 1961; sugar production is carried out from sugar beets, abundantly cultivated in the surrounding fields), a food concentrates plant, as well as an elevator and a seed plant of the French company Groupe Soufflet (opened in 2010).

In 2006, the construction of factories in the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone of industrial production began. As of 2022, 26 factories have been built and are operating, in addition to the facilities in the economic zone itself. It is planned to build 34 more factories.

Transport

Bus station

First of all, Gryazi is a large railway junction of the South-Eastern Railway, located at the intersection of two main lines (directions to Moscow, Rostov, Orel, Volgograd). On the territory of the city there are four separate railway points: three stations - Gryazi-Voronezhskie, Gryazi-Volgogradskie, Gryazi-Orlovskie, and a track post 474 km.

In 1998, the “Gryazi” bus station was opened (architect - Miron Mordukhovich).

Roads from the city have three main directions - to Lipetsk, to Dobrinka and to the P119 Orel - Lipetsk - Tambov highway. In addition to connecting with the regional center, the Gryazinskoye Highway also serves the Lipetsk SEZ; For the most part this road is two-lane.

City transport is represented exclusively by buses and minibuses.

There is an airfield called “Gryazi”.

Trade

Large retail facilities - the Line hypermarket, shopping and entertainment and Gryazi. Also represented are the federal chain Magnit, the Lipetsk chain Pokupayka, the Pyaterochka chain, as well as the chain store of household appliances and electronics DNS.

Connection

Wired communications are provided by Interproject, as well as by a departmental railway automatic telephone exchange with access to the public network. Cellular operators - Beeline, MegaFon, MTS, Tele-2 and Yota.

Internet access is provided to the city by the following), MediaSet LLC, Rostelecom PJSC.

mass media

The main regional newspaper is Gryazinskie Izvestia (founder - the district administration). The city newspaper also publishes free advertisements, and several city Internet sites operate.

Within modern boundaries, the area of Gryazi is 33.14 square meters. km. The city has no administrative division, but several districts can be roughly distinguished (based on the former villages that became part of Gryazi):

  • Village of Gryazi
  • Tavolzhanka

There is a “colloquial” division of Gryazi into districts, caused by the relative independence of each of them, since in Soviet times the city actually consisted of several large enterprises with one- or multi-story housing built around them for their employees, and interconnected by a vast private sector:

  • Plant - according to the Gryazinsky food plant.
  • Tyushevka is separated from the city by the lines of the Gryazi-Volgogradskie station and is the largest district of the city. Officially called "Southern".
  • Central District Hospital - according to the Central Regional Hospital, is currently the fastest growing area of the city.
  • Marinka is a vast private sector, bounded on one side by the railway to Voronezh, on the other by the Matyra River.
  • Party Congress is a private sector located near the public transport stop “XVIII Party Congress”.
  • The swamp is a sector with multi-storey buildings built on the site of a nursery, located between the Combine, the City and Tyushevka.
  • Nahal village is a private sector located south of Bolot, to the railway (Tyushevka).
  • Gorodok or Military Town is a military town on the southeastern outskirts of the city.
  • The city is the central part of the city.
  • Monetka is a private sector, part of Marinka, adjacent to the railway.
  • Dog Farm - to the left of the plant towards the Matyra River.
  • SHT - across the river, towards the village of Gryazey.
  • Orlovskie - southwestern part of the city. The district is named after the Gryazi-Orlovskie station of the same name.

Also in 2012, the distribution of plots for construction near the SHT began. Judging by the drawings, the infrastructure there will be well developed.

People associated with the city

  • Belyaev, Albert Andreevich (born 1928), Russian writer and publicist;
  • Mukhortov Alexander Sergeevich (born March 03, 1946), Honored Worker of Culture R.F. Founder and director of the pop ensemble "Melody". The ensemble has the honorary title “People’s”.
  • On August 24 (September 6), 1917, at the Gryazi station, the Russian historian and phenologist, Prince Boris Vyazemsky, was killed by soldiers. This happened after, on his order, in order to prevent new destruction of his Lotarevo estate, the bridge on the dam with a drainage over the Baygora River was dismantled. Previously, on his Lotarevo estate, Prince Vyazemsky was actively involved in charitable and educational work. In 1911 he built a reinforced concrete bridge across the Baygora River, in 1914 - a power plant, in 1915 - a new school in Korobovka.

The French actress, his great-niece, Anna Vyazemsky (1947-2017) wrote the novel “A Handful of People” (Grand Prize of the French Academy for the novel, Renaudo Prize, choice of lyceum students), allegedly based on the diary of the author’s great-grandfather, the fictional Prince Vladimir Belogorodsky, which he kept before he was killed in August 1917. The history of Belogorodsky partly coincides with the biography of Prince Boris Vyazemsky.
