Monument to Salavat Yulaev

This is perhaps the most famous landmark of Ufa and the best place for photo shoots. The name of Salavat Yulaev is well known not only to residents of Ufa and Bashkiria, but also to all hockey fans in Russia and abroad. Monument to the poet Miftakhetdin Akmulla

This sculptural composition, depicting the outstanding Bashkir philosopher and poet-educator surrounded by children, was installed in October 2008, in the park in front of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after Akmulla.

The Bashkir Drama Theater named after Mazhit Gafuri is the first republican theater. In 1919, it opened with the play “The Hero Salavat” based on the dramatic chronicle of the poet Fathelkadyr Suleymanov.

Currently, the Mazhit Gafuri Theater is called the custodian and successor of Bashkir national art. Over its almost century-long history, the theater stage has shown more than 600 productions based on works by Bashkir, Russian and foreign authors.

Lyalya Tulip Mosque

This is one of the most beautiful and largest mosques in Russia. Its height is more than 20 meters, but at the same time the building looks very light and as if rushing upward. Not only the size of the mosque is impressive, but also its original appearance. The main building is built in the shape of a blossoming tulip, and two minarets on the sides resemble bright scarlet buds.

The symbol of the tulip was not chosen by chance - this flower has a special meaning in Muslim culture. Muslims have always had a reverent and respectful attitude towards him, since his Arabic spelling resembles the word “Allah”.

Friendship Monument

This is one of the most popular places in Ufa. Located on the banks of the Belaya River, on the site of an old fortress. The monument consists of two granite steles 33 meters high, on the sides of which there are two sculptural figures of girls with laurel wreaths in their hands - a Bashkir and a Russian. They symbolize Mother Russia and Mother Bashkiria.

The monument was founded in 1957 in honor of the 400th anniversary of the annexation of Bashkiria to Russia. It looks especially impressive in the evening, when the lights come on and you can simply stroll along the embankment, admiring the monument.

Fountain "Seven Girls"

This attraction appeared relatively recently - only in 2015. The fountain is located in a small cozy square in the city center, and has already won the love of residents and guests of the capital thanks to its colorfulness and grace.

The sculptural composition consists of a large bowl in the center and seven maiden figures located around the fountain. Its creation was based on the ancient Bashkir legend about seven rebellious twin sisters who threw themselves from a cliff into the waters of the Belaya River so as not to fall to their enemies. Gostiny Dvor

A favorite place for residents and one of the main attractions of Ufa, Gostiny Dvor is located in the historical center of the city. The building was built at the beginning of the 19th century, but today it houses modern shops and an entertainment and business complex. In the exhibition “Bashkortostan in the first half of the 18th century. Mining Plants" presents ancient documents on the extraction of mineral resources, a working model of a metallurgical plant and orders of the Statutory Commission of Catherine II of 1767. The pride of the museum is its numismatic collection, which contains more than 15 thousand coins. The most valuable exhibits are “scale” coins from the reign of Ivan III, as well as gold and silver coins of Russia.

Memorial house-museum named after Aksakov

This is an architectural monument of the 18th century and one of the most interesting sights of Ufa. In 14 halls there are more than 3,000 exhibits representing the history of the Aksakov family. The museum skillfully recreates the noble atmosphere and cultural spirit of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The building itself is the former house of the grandfather of the great Russian writer, in which his entire family lived in 1795–1797. Bogorodsko-Ufa Church.
