Holidays in Arsenyev Primorsky Krai in winter: ski resort

The Arsenyev ski resort was built on the Obzornaya hill. Another name for the Vostok base, but this does not change the essence. You can come here to relax with your family, friends or solo. The elevation changes on the route are about 500 meters. There are several types of trails and they will appeal to experienced skiers and snowboarders.

For those who are just learning to ride and feel unsure on the slopes, there are instructors and coaches. They will help you quickly master winter sports. You can use the services of private instructors at an hourly rate.

The resort area offers rental equipment for winter sports. When you go riding for a few days, you won't need to carry heavy equipment with you. There is enough natural snow here, but if there is not enough of it, the tracks are filled with artificial material.

A bungel lift lifts vacationers to the mountainside; the height of the slope is about 800 meters above the sea line. People usually come to the resort to relax from Thursday to Monday. The ski slopes are open from 10 am until the last rays of daylight.

There is no artificial lighting on the slopes, so skiing after 17.00 will no longer be possible. During the holiday season, an ambulance team is on duty at the slopes. They rescue victims and provide assistance to those who feel ill. You can eat right on the slopes; food is offered by the food block.

It will not be possible to live at the resort; this is not provided for. But, ten kilometers from the resort area is the city of Arsenyev. There are enough hotels to stay comfortably during your holiday. The Arsenyev ski resort is not just a local recreation area in the Primorsky Territory. National-scale competitions are actively held here, team building and other competitions are organized.

Weather Arsenyev Primorsky Krai

If you come on vacation in your own car, you won’t have to pay for parking. Entry to the resort area is free. The holiday season in Arsenyev begins in late autumn and lasts until the end of March. This is quite enough to enjoy winter sports. The influx of visitors is observed in February and March, when the air temperature begins to rise. In this region, winter is not very cold; the maximum temperature drop is up to – 15 degrees.

In February and closer to spring it rises to -7 degrees, there is practically no wind. With the beginning of March, the temperature rises to -3 degrees and stays at this level. At the same time, the snow has not yet melted, the tracks are actively covered with artificial material. There are good opportunities for winter sports throughout almost the entire holiday season.

Characteristics of mountain slopes

The resort has several trails for people with different skill levels. The tubing slope is actively used by families for cheesecake and sledding. Here you can spend active time with your children and have a lot of fun. The training slope for skiers and snowboarders does not have difficult terrain. This opens up practice and learning opportunities for those who are less confident on the trail.

Arsenyev trails

The remaining slopes can be divided into three parts. Each of them is equipped for its own category of vacationers. As a result, people with different abilities do not interfere with each other’s riding. The track called “Boomerang” is designed for athletes who have a good feel for the equipment and have practice in winter sports.

The slope has a complex structure and is about 2 kilometers long. At the same time, the height difference and springboards have a height of about 460 meters. The width of the ski markings is about 50 meters, it will be difficult to fit into sharp turns and prepare for the jump. That is why only those who already know how to control themselves and have a good feel for the equipment are allowed on the track.

The slope named “Strela” is intended for those with an average level of training. The width of the route is about 50 meters, the height difference on the slope is 460 meters, the duration of the route is 1800 meters. There are no difficult turns or serious jumps here. It is possible to reach serious speed, but you should be wary of skidding on the highway. They happen rarely, but they do happen.

The Molniya track is suitable for holidaymakers with an average level of training and athletes. The slope is about 2 kilometers long, 50 meters wide, and the height difference is about 460 meters. There are several open clearings on the territory, offering magnificent views of the mountains. It is worth remembering that developing high speed is dangerous. The track has sharp turns, and not everyone can cope with the speed when entering a turn. If you approach skating wisely, there will be no problems.

The training track at the resort is small, its length is about 300 meters. There are no dangers on the route, nor are there any opportunities to pirouette. The route is needed to get beginner skiers on their feet, and for those who already know how to ski to gain self-confidence and learn to feel the road under them.

In the future, investors in the resort area promised to create several more routes for beginner skiers.

If you ski all day, the cost of the lift will be noticeable. It is beneficial to use subscriptions for a week, for a day, or for a month.

A day ski pass will cost 1,500 rubles for an adult and 1,000 rubles for a child. Renting equipment for winter sports will cost 400 rubles per 1 hour for an adult and 200 rubles for a child.

Renting a snowboard will cost 400 rubles per hour per person. Check the exact prices on the official website of the resort area https://www.arsgora.ru/skating/.

Hotels in Arsenyev prices

There are no accommodation options nearby the resort. Hotels and apartments are located in the nearest town of Arsenyev. From there it is 10 kilometers to the resort. You can cover the distance by taxi or rent a car. Arsenyev offers different housing options. You can stay at a hotel if you like comfort and service. The Taezhnaya Hotel can be considered as an option, but the prices here are a little steep. For an economy class room you will pay a minimum of 2100 rubles, for a junior suite from 4300 rubles per day.

The hotel is located in the very center of Arsenyev, from here it is convenient to get to the city’s attractions, mountain peaks can be seen in the distance and it’s easy to catch a taxi to go to the resort. Another hotel option is the Aviator establishment. Prices here are slightly lower than in the previous hotel. For an economy class room you can pay about 2,000 rubles, if you want to live in a luxury room, the cost will be about 3,500 rubles per day.

Considering that Arsenyev also has a residential area, you can rent an apartment daily. You will not obey the internal regulations of the establishment, you will not have neighbors. And cases of theft of personal belongings in a private apartment occur much less frequently than in a hotel.

You can look for housing on real estate websites, on social networks, on Avito. Interesting offers can be found here:

https://www.avito.ru/arsenev/kvartiry/sdam/1-komnatnye,

https://primorskiy-kray.irr.ru/real-estate/rent/arsenev-gorod/,

Housing prices start from 1,400 rubles per day. The rental price depends on the size, location, and comfort of the property. If you start looking for an apartment in advance, you will find a profitable option quickly. When you go on vacation solo or with friends, you can rent a room from local residents, which will be cheaper than apartments and hotels.

It is recommended to look for accommodation several weeks before your intended trip. At the height of the holiday season, good properties are quickly taken over by vacationers. What remains is either too expensive or poor-quality housing.

In front of the New Town at the ski resorts there is a real sell-out. Prices for housing and services will rise. If you want to spend your winter holidays skiing, then think about it in advance.

Monument to Arsenyev and Museum of City History

The impressive four-meter monument to V.K. Arsenyev and the bas-relief of his comrade-in-arms Dersu Uzala also attract both tourists and local residents. By the way, the monument was erected precisely with the money of the townspeople who decided to honor the memory of the outstanding Russian explorer and geographer, who wrote many valuable works on the geography and history of the Primorsky Territory. Dersu Uzara was his faithful friend and guide. He died from the treacherous hand of robbers.

Another monument to Arsenyev was erected near the city museum. The museum itself tells about the history of the settlement of the region, its development, the archaeological excavations carried out there and the researchers of the region. Of course, one of the main exhibitions is dedicated to the work of V.K. Arsenyev

There are no wide roads here; in summer people climb the hill along gravel paths and paths.

Arsenyevka River Primorsky Krai

The Arsenyevka River and its surroundings are considered an interesting object. The reservoir was named after the researcher Arsenyev, who devoted his entire life to studying these territories. The river is home to dozens of species of fish and marine animals. Its banks are surrounded by coniferous forests, and medicinal plants grow in clearings and meadows. In these parts, they collect lemongrass, eleutherococcus and many other herbs that you see in the pharmacy.

In summer, the region delights with herbs and berries, in winter – with mushrooms. Wild and dangerous animals live in the forests: Ussuri tigers, wild boars, bears, wolves, foxes and others. Taiga is home to many wildlife inhabitants. These territories are protected by law and protected from destruction. The disappearance of the taiga will be a huge loss not only for Russia, but for the entire planet.

Mount Golets Primorsky Krai

At your leisure you can visit Mount Golets. Translated from a foreign language, the name means “erased peak.” There are magnificent views and many medium-sized rocks here. Blueberries and lingonberries grow on the slopes of the mountain; they are almost completely covered with moss.

During the walk, it seems that you find yourself in a mysterious country with magical trees and a thick layer of fog. Climbing to the top of the mountain is carried out only in summer, but in winter you can also reach some observation platforms. The Arsenyev ski resort is far from the only attraction of this region. When you come to the region on vacation, you will never regret it.

Observation hill

While sightseeing in Arsenyev, you should definitely visit the Obzornaya hill - it’s worth it. Its height above sea level is 875 m. This hill belongs to the Sikhote-Alin system. Not only does it offer a breathtaking panoramic view, but the Obzornaya hill has also become the site of a television and radio complex, a television tower and a cellular antenna. You can climb to the top along an 8 km long gravel road. At the top there are improvised observation platforms for those who decide to overcome the considerable distance. But it's one hundred percent worth it.

There are ski slopes on its slopes. Pupils of the children's sports school train here.

The easiest way to get to the resort area is from Vladivostok. From this city to the resort area is only 220 kilometers. You can get to Vladivostok by plane, train or car. The most convenient way is to fly by plane; the flight time is only a few hours. Then take a taxi or take a bus or minibus to the city of Arsenyev. From here you can get to the resort area by taxi.

The train ride to Vladivostok will take several days. Travel time depends on the remoteness of the region and the train route. If you want to relax on the road and organize your thoughts, it is easier to travel by train. Warm tea, the sound of wheels and a good book will brighten up your travel time.

Often on the train you meet people whom you would never meet in ordinary life. Traveling by car is considered the most expensive and tiring. If you are going to travel by car, make a convenient route and there must be a second driver.

Drowsiness while driving is one of the main causes of road accidents. In general, if you think through everything to the smallest detail, you can quickly get to the resort area and relax brightly and profitably.

See you on the pages of the AVIAMANIA !!!

Understand[edit]

In 1902, settlers from the western regions of Russia founded the taiga village of Semyonovka. In the pre-war years, the Soviet government decided to build an aircraft plant in Primorye. The city was named after Vladimir Klavdievich Arsenyev, an officer of the Russian Imperial Army and one of the most active explorers of the Far East. His works “Across the Ussuri Region”, “Dersu Uzala”, “In the Sikhote-Alin Mountains”, “Through the Taiga” are known all over the world. Based on the book "Dersu Uzala", Japanese director Akira Kurosawa made a film that received an Oscar.

There are two city-forming enterprises in Arsenyev - an aviation enterprise that produces sports aircraft, helicopters from the Kamov aircraft design bureau, as well as missiles; And . The name "Askold" was borne by a Russian cruiser that distinguished itself in the war with Japan of 1904-1905.

Arsenyev is located in the valley of the Arsenyevka River (formerly Daubikha)

(formerly Khalaza)
flows through the city . Until 1972, the rivers bore Chinese names; the armed conflict over Damansky Island prompted a massive renaming. In Soviet times, rice was grown in the vicinity of Arsenyev and Anuchino, but now rice farming has been abandoned.

Arsenyev is located on a plain, the street layout is rectangular, the streets are wide, in the center there are buildings of typical Soviet construction, on the outskirts there is a large private sector.

The climate is favorable. Pyramidal poplars and small cypress trees grow on the streets. Since the city is surrounded on all sides by hills, in winter at dawn after clear nights the air can cool to minus 40 degrees; as soon as the sun rises, it will become much warmer.
