Zadaka of the lost place Malaya Vishera in the Novgorod region

Zadaka of the lost place Malaya Vishera in the Novgorod region

From various parts of the globe, from time to time there are reports of the discovery of traces of relict hominids, better known as Bigfoot or Yeti. Russia, where there are many regions with dense forests and impenetrable swamps, was no exception. One of these places where, according to local residents, snow people have been repeatedly encountered for several decades, is a town in the Novgorod region - Malaya Vishera, located on the banks of the river of the same name in the territory of our homeland - Russia.

Researchers have collected hundreds of eyewitness accounts of encounters with mysterious humanoid creatures or, as local residents call them, “avdoshkas.” According to legend, once upon a time in one of the surrounding villages there lived a strange and quarrelsome woman named Avdotya. Unable to get along with her fellow villagers, Avdotya went to live in the forest, and a few years later she was seen more than once in the company of a huge creature overgrown with fur. The descendants of this strange couple were nicknamed “avdoshkas” - the children of Avdotya.

There were especially many reports about unusual inhabitants of the Malovishera forest in the 40s and 50s. During the period of post-war devastation, which devastated many settlements of the Novgorod region, the “avdoshki” felt at ease and were not afraid to go closer to the villages.

A significant surge of interest in the Malovishera snow people occurred in the 60-80s. They were studied by both specialist cryptozoologists and amateurs. One of those who managed to see a whole family of wild people with their own eyes was local journalist Oleg Ivanov. According to his description, they were two children, a male and a female, covered with brownish fur. The height of adult individuals exceeded two meters. Other eyewitnesses indicate similar signs of “avdoshek”.

Also, traces of bare feet were noticed more than once, the impressive length of the foot was more than 40 centimeters.

In the last twenty years, encounters with wild people in these places have practically ceased. Probably, the active development of the Malovishera forest forced the Bigfoot people to look for new habitats.

It is worth noting that the surroundings of Malaya Vishera are well known to researchers of anomalous phenomena, not only as the place of residence of Bigfoot. More than once, extraordinary light phenomena similar to a UFO have been observed near the Malovishera forest, and the narrow-gauge railway, built in the middle of the last century, is considered a mystical place where a ghost train sometimes appears.
