The total population of the city in 2014 was 156,442 people, which puts it in third place in terms of this indicator among the cities of the region. Since 1993, the city has seen a constant trend of population decline. Basically, this situation arose from the departure of residents to other places; to a lesser extent, natural decline affected. Railway

A dead-end railway line runs through the city with its final destination Mys Astafieva (port). Within Nakhodka there are two main passenger railway stations:

What is Nakhodka famous for?

There is also another monument in the city, erected in honor of the 17th anniversary of friendly relations with the Japanese city of Maizuru - the Stone of Friendship of Twin Cities. On one of the city squares there is a stele of Coming of Age, which is dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the transformation of the workers' village into the city of Nakhodka. The monument symbolizes a new stage in the development of the city. The stele depicts a ship moving forward.
Near the museum and exhibition complex there is a composition of a woman holding a dove in her hands. The official name of the monument is “Peace”. This statue is a gift from the friendly Japanese city of Maizuru on the 30th anniversary of friendly relations.
In 2003, with money from private individuals, a Monument to those affected by political repression was erected in the city. The memorial consists of two columns, which are placed like St. Andrew's Cross. The pylons and pedestal of the monument are lined with polished granite of different colors: white, burgundy and gray.
One of the main attractions of the city is the memorial, which is dedicated to the memory of the lost trawler Boksitogorsk. The monument was erected at the top of the Swan Hill in memory of the fishermen who died in 1965 on the Bering Sea. The monument was opened in 1979.

Disgusting city! The people are rude and boorish! The prices for everything are off the charts. There is no heating in the apartments until the end of October. Some retail outlets, car washes. There are no places for normal cultural recreation. In the middle of the city (in the center) there is Salt Lake. There is a sewage system for tens of kilometers away from the water. The city resembles a village, there are no drainage ditches, you walk along the roads and all the splashes from cars are on people. The impressions from the city are the worst.

I was impressed by the beautiful nature and the wonderful sea. Even the rains didn't bother us. I plan to move, but not to Nakhodka itself, but to the village of Beregovoy. I don't like noise and fuss. I liked Yuzhno-Morskoy, but it’s a bit far from the city. You can find work anywhere if you are not afraid of it. Mushrooms, berries, fishing, hiking, and most importantly, the sea, which I saw for the first time at the age of 35 and fell in love at first sight. I was surprised by the friendly people. To any question you receive a comprehensive answer, with a bunch of explanations better than the navigator. From them I learned where it is better to buy housing, where there are quiet areas and less crime. We were frightened by the prolonged rains. Our climate has changed a lot thanks to the Bureyskaya hydroelectric station. At minus 30 in winter there is also humidity! You freeze to the bone, no matter how warmly you dress. I don’t think such frosts happen in Nakhodka. In general, my choice was between Khabarovsk and Nakhodka, I chose the city by the sea.

Let's start with the advantages of our small town by the Sea of Japan.

Firstly, the most important and big plus is that the city is located by the sea. It’s not worth traveling abroad every summer to swim and lie on the beach. It is enough to take the bus and in twenty to thirty minutes you will reach the clean and beautiful sea.

The city also hosts various events and openings. People are kind and sympathetic, but I have not yet met people who are better and kinder than in Siberia.

I have lived in Nakhodka all my life, I am 50 years old. Yes, there used to be a promising and developing city. BAMR, PMP, etc. thundered all over the country. They came to work with us from all over the world; there were many young people who had no intention of leaving anywhere. And now, alas, it’s getting worse and worse. City of old people. If it continues at this rate, then in 20 years the city can be renamed a village. It is difficult and uninteresting for young people to live here. Nothing is built or done for them. There is still no theater in the city (not counting the Rampa, which is located in the DKS). There are no areas where young people can relax. Their entertainment is to go to the City, to Mega. That's all! My 2 daughters say we live in a terrible place. The eldest went to college in St. Petersburg, and the youngest wants to go there soon. Naturally, they won’t come back, and I don’t want that. Until the authorities and the government turn their faces to Primorye and do something more than they are doing now, there will continue to be a massive outflow of the population, especially young people.

Nakhodka is like a long gut along the sea - practically one street for the whole city. The city itself is gray, uncomfortable, the roads go at an angle of 45 degrees. Sailors, sleazy civilians, there is nowhere to eat. So we quickly did our business and left Nakhodka, back to Vladik. The road between Nakhodka and Vladivostok is a complete mess...

The find personally bothers me in only one way - medicine.
