Map of Nakhodka in detail with streets, houses and districts

A city in the Primorsky Territory, the third largest, after Vladivostok and Ussuriysk. The total area of the urban district is 326 square kilometers. Population – about 150 thousand inhabitants.

The discovery appeared on the map of Russia relatively recently. The year of foundation is recognized as 1864. City status was awarded 86 years later during Soviet times. Until the 30s, the name Nakhodka applied only to the bay. The settlement was called American. Obtaining city status in 1950 gave impetus to the development of Nakhodka. In addition to the expansion of the port, the first avenue appeared in the city, a nautical school was opened, and a ship repair plant was founded.

Attempts to create a free economic zone on the territory of the Nakhodka urban district were unsuccessful at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The population of Primorsky Krai continues to decline

Photo: The population of the Nakhodka urban district decreased by almost 1.9 thousand people over the year

The population of the Primorsky Territory has decreased by 10,319 people over the past year, Primorskstat reports. If as of January 1, 2022, 1 million 913 thousand 37 citizens lived in Primorye, then as of the same date in 2022 - 1,902,718. Since 2011, the decline has been more than 50 thousand.

A year ago, 633 thousand 102 people lived in Vladivostok, now - 633 144. The increase, as we see, is at the level of an arithmetic error. In Vladivostok itself, as of January 1, 2022, there were 605,049 people, the rest of the citizens were residents of rural areas included in the city district.

For the last four years, the demographic indicators of the capital of Primorye and the Far Eastern Federal District have fluctuated at approximately the same level - plus or minus 300 people. Since 2011, the population of the Vladivostok urban district has increased by 17 thousand residents.

But the population of the Nakhodka urban district decreased by almost 1.9 thousand people over the year. Since 2011 - by approximately 12.3 thousand. Nakhodka residents are leaving their hometown en masse, not hiding the fact that they fear for their own health under the conditions of the “coal blockade.”

A favorable situation with demographics, and over the past many years, has been developing in the Ussuri urban district. As of January 1, 2022, 198,983 people lived here. Over the course of a year, the Ussuri regiment received more than a thousand more. Positive dynamics have been observed since 2008. During this time, the population growth of the urban district amounted to more than 17.3 thousand people. True, if the number of city dwellers is steadily increasing, the number of villagers, on the contrary, is decreasing. At the beginning of this year, 173,165 residents lived in the urban area of Ussuriysk, 25,818 lived in rural areas. While back in 1990, different proportions were observed - 161,523 city residents and 30,799 villagers.

In addition to Vladivostok and Ussuriysk, population growth over the past year was also recorded in Fokino (by 4 people) and in the Partizansky municipal district (by 53). In all other municipalities the situation is alarming.

Thus, the population of the Mikhailovsky district decreased by 817 people over the year, Khorolsky - by 572 people, Spassky urban district - by 517. In the Pozharsky district, the population decrease was 498 people, in Krasnoarmeysky - 469, in Chernigovsky - 416, in Khasansky - 414, in Khankaisky - 410.

The decline in population is catastrophic, given that in these areas there lived (at the beginning of 2022) from 16,636 people (in the Krasnoarmeysky district) to 40,717 citizens (in the Spassky urban district). Now even less.

Statistics show: people are moving to Vladivostok and Ussuriysk. Or they leave Primorye altogether.
