The city of Ramenskoye, Moscow region, is it worth moving to a town near Moscow?

Ramenskoye is located 43 km from Moscow in the southeast. The name of the town comes from the word “ramenye” - “outskirts of the forest, edge”. The city of Ramenskoye, Moscow region, is still located among pine forests, where dry soil predominates. There are medical and sanatorium institutions in the district, vacationers with lung diseases come here, and this is understandable, the climate here is amazing, the air is clean.

Despite numerous advantages, the Ramensky district is not one of the most prestigious in the Moscow region (constant traffic jams in the metropolis, polluted waters). But the town is well-maintained and clean. There are many attractions located here. Most often families with children move here for permanent residence.

Ecology and climatic conditions of the Moscow region

The Ramensky district is vast; it will take a whole day to explore its surroundings by car. Despite its size, there are no hazardous industries in the city of the Moscow region. Light and agricultural enterprises are located in Ramenskoye. The coat of arms depicts a river and all this against the backdrop of a church. The area is ecologically clean.

On the one hand, this is an advantage, but on the other, it is not. Plus – ecology and clean fresh air. The disadvantage is the lack of large-scale industries; in order to earn good money, residents have to go to Moscow. The weather is milder than in the metropolis.

The most favorable month is July, the average air temperature is +20 degrees, August is +19-20, the coolest June is +17 degrees. In winter, Ramenskoye is comfortable: the coldest time is in January, the temperature drops to -9 degrees. But you can enjoy sunny weather in May.

General information and brief history of Ramensky

Probably, many have heard on television news that another cargo of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been sent from the Ramenskoye airfield. But not many people understand what Ramenskoye is and where it is located. The dry language of statistics will tell you that this is a city near Moscow, a regional center with a population of just over one hundred thousand people. And the settlement was founded at the beginning of the 14th century. It was mentioned by Ivan Kalita himself in 1328, but for a long time it was an abandoned village on the outskirts of the forest.

19th century. Borisoglebsk lake

Ramensky was given city status in 1926. The area has a huge area, equal to two Bahrain. But let's try to look at Ramenskoye from the inside, through the eyes of its inhabitants.

General view in the evening. Photo by NordProd (https://nordprod.livejournal.com/)

The city is located in the east of the Moscow region, just south of the eastern line from Moscow. I wouldn't say it's far, but I wouldn't say it's close either. About two-thirds from Moscow to the so-called “betonka”, about 35 kilometers from the capital’s border. That is, the city is so far away that it does not fall into the belt of residential areas of Moscow like Lyubertsy, but it is also not so far away that you can live an isolated life independent from the capital, like Voskresensk, which is located on the same branch.

Central station

In general, it’s somewhere in the middle, which is why the vast majority of residents go to Moscow for work, but still spend their free time in their native land.

Infrastructure and transport accessibility

As in any area of the Moscow region, a meager budget does not allow for the improvement of roads and surrounding areas. The infrastructure is at an average level.

Public transport is a sore subject in all cities of the Moscow region. Ramenskoye is no exception; you can get to it from the capital along the Novoryazanskoye highway through Zhukovsky from the south or along Yegoryevskoye from the north. Both approaches to the city are not convenient.

The eastern Moscow region is constantly congested. Many high-rise buildings have been built in the southeast of Moscow. From Vykhino to the Ramensky district there are solid multi-storey buildings. This results in constant, many-kilometer traffic jams. There are practically no buses from Ramenskoye to the metropolis. Local residents get to Moscow by train. From Art. Factory to Vykhino is only 45 minutes.

The express travels even faster. All trains are clean, there are few people on them. What sets them apart from other public transport in the Moscow region. Minibuses and buses run regularly throughout the city and region. Many places can be reached on foot.

As throughout the Moscow region, there are constant queues in government institutions. The same applies to kindergartens. But this problem is also common in other Russian cities. But the atmosphere is favorable.

Population of Ramenskoye

The absence of heavy industries in the city and region and its relative proximity to the capital’s culture makes it unique in social terms.

Residents at the city festival

In Ramenskoye you will rarely hear rude obscenities and you will also rarely see degraded drunkards on the streets. Of course, this does not mean that in Ramenskoye everyone is exclusively gentlemen in pince-nez and a tailcoat, or ladies in a crinoline, masterfully performing kniksen, but the differences compared to the same neighboring Orekhovo-Zuevsky district are simply striking.

Celebration in the temple

If after the Orekhovo-Zuevsky trains you really want to take a shower, then after the Ramenskaya trains you just feel tired from the road itself. As an example, we can talk about one local tradition. If a seat becomes vacant on a train and a man and a woman are standing next to each other, the man will never sit down first, but will wait until the woman takes the seat. This tradition speaks volumes.

Infrastructure: shopping centers and supermarkets in the Moscow region

There are no large hypermarkets in Ramenskoye. All large stores, as in other areas of the Moscow region - “Perekrestok”, “Diski”, “Pyaterochka”. Many residents use local markets; there are two of them in the city.

What to visit in the city?

Where to go in Ramenskoye and what to see in the city in a few hours?

Colored houses

At the beginning of this century, an unusual project was implemented in the city, which has no common analogues in Russia. Giant positive paintings decorate high-rise buildings in one of the Ramenskoye microdistricts. The sea, palm trees, bright abstractions on the facades of houses look sunny and rainbow.

Temples

Among the ancient religious buildings of the city, it is interesting to see the Boris and Gleb Church and the Trinity Cathedral, built in the first half and middle of the 18th century.

Cartoon sculptures

An extraordinary highlight of the city are the sculptural compositions based on Soviet cartoons that were beloved in childhood, which are interesting to explore with children. Right on the street, old woman Shapoklyak is walking with her beloved rat Lariska, nearby is the crocodile Gena and Cheburashka, and Three from Prostokvashino have gathered nearby. District Information

Historical reference

Ramensky urban district (as of January 1, 2020, Ramensky district) occupies 140 thousand 294 hectares; population of the territory is 311 thousand 792 people (121 thousand 908 people live in the city of Ramenskoye). For the first time, the area “ramenye”, which means “border, edge of the forest”, was mentioned in 1328 in the spiritual letter of the Moscow Prince Ivan Kalita.

Since ancient times, the Ramenskaya land has been rich in non-metallic minerals. There are limestones, valuable sands, clays, dolomites, and a lot of peat. For these fossils, this territory still holds one of the first places in the Moscow region.

The Myachkovsky marble limestone has been famous for a long time. The first white stone walls of the Moscow Kremlin and many buildings in the Moscow region were made from it. Not far from the village of Myachkovo in 1968, a mining and processing plant began operating using high-quality sands for the glass industry.

The pride of the region and the calling card of Russia abroad is Gzhel. The Gzhel fishery has been known since the 14th century, and now, when the development of the tourism industry of the Ramensky urban district has begun, many plans are connected with the Gzhel fishery.

In the middle of the 19th century, the place where the city of Ramenskoye is now located was called Ramenskoye-Troitskoye and was a village. A railway line was built through it and the Ramenskoye station was opened. Gradually a workers' settlement grew here. On March 15, 1926, the rapidly developing village received city status. But railway transport has always played and continues to play a big role in the life of the Ramen residents: there are two railway lines running here - one to Kazan, the second to Ryazan (built in the middle of the 19th century).

In 1929, the Ramensky district was formed, and in April 2022, in the year of its 90th anniversary, the Ramensky district received its new status - the Ramensky urban district.

(See resolution of the Moscow Regional Duma dated April 4, 2019 No. 31/80-P).

Today's day

Over the 90 years of its formation, development and unity with the country at different stages of its life, the Ramensky urban district (formerly a district) experienced all the grandiose historical events that became part of its biography: the difficult thirties, the Great Patriotic War (2022 marks the 75th anniversary of Victory Day!), the post-war years of selfless restoration of industry and agriculture, the economy, the sphere of culture and education...

Today, Ramenskoye and the settlements of the Ramenskoye urban district live with new concerns: the administrative-territorial structure is changing, the Council of Deputies of the Ramenskoye urban district, elected on September 8, 2019, has begun work. In October and November, the hard work of budget formation begins.

The social sphere is always a priority. The city district budget, socially oriented in 2022, does not change priorities for 2020. The education system of the city district, which has been successfully operating for many years, is expanding. Extensions to schools are being created (most recently, to gymnasium No. 2, Ostrovets School), which have been in operation for many years; Plans are being implemented to build new schools in new microdistricts of the city - on Molodezhnaya Street (microdistrict No. 10). There is hope that in the Kholodovo microdistrict there will be a new building for the Ramenskaya gymnasium. “Growth points”, i.e. digital and humanities education centers were created and opened on September 24, 2022 in modernly developing schools - Novokharitonovskaya, Ulyaninskaya, Nikonovskaya, Klishevskaya. The opening of one of the first such centers in the Ramensky urban district (at the Klishevskaya school) was attended by the head, Viktor Nevolin.

The appearance of the hospital town of the Ramenskaya Central District Hospital is changing. The network of FAPs operating in rural settlements is very convenient for villagers. Thanks to FAPs, the primary medical care a person needs becomes accessible. Medical equipment in the Ramenskaya Central District Hospital system is being updated, and attention is being paid to the staffing of doctors and medical staff.

Life in the urban district is dynamic throughout its entire territory, but most of all in the city of Ramenskoye - the administrative and cultural center of the Ramenskoye urban district. There are many enterprises, institutions, and various organizations operating in Ramenskoye. Therefore, landscaping plays a special role in creating a comfortable space for citizens to live in, not only in the new quarters of the city, but also in those built decades ago, during Soviet times.

Today our city is decorated with landscape gardening sculptures and fountains, vertical flower beds and flower beds, well-groomed areas near commercial enterprises and cultural institutions, which have original evening lighting; Citizens and guests of the city are pleased with the neat facades of buildings and boulevards, which, taking into account the new approach to the improvement of public spaces, include event areas (areas for leisure activities). Courtyards inside residential areas have been comprehensively landscaped: parking lots, playgrounds, workout, area lighting... As part of the “Safe Region” program, video surveillance is being installed.

Ramensky media (television, radio, newspapers and other printed publications, the official portal of the Ramensky urban district (formerly the district) professionally cover events, the work of executive and representative authorities, significant anniversaries of enterprises and distinguished people, cultural and educational events.

The fact that the space is changing, modernly landscaped is the merit of everyone who carries out this work, maintains improvement objects and takes care of them... Everything that exists today was made by the common efforts of several generations of residents, including our contemporaries: creative leaders of all ranks in places, skilled performers and adults and children who love their native land.

The limited financial resources of the municipal budget constantly pose difficult tasks for local governments to mobilize all internal resources to ensure the dynamic development of the territory.

The main resource of the economy is industry. In the Ramensky urban district there are 35 large and medium-sized enterprises in such fields as aviation instrument making, electrical, chemical, glass production, food industry and construction materials production.

On September 17, the Ramensky Instrument-Making Plant, a city-forming enterprise, turned 80 years old! The plant's anniversary was an event not only for plant workers! The celebration took place at the Saturn CDC, which was built using the method of popular construction in 1964-1966, it was built by RPZ workers. The plant did a lot for the townspeople: it built housing for plant workers, developed social infrastructure - the Saturn recreation center, the Saturn swimming pool, the Saturn and Pioneer stadiums, a dispensary, pioneer camps for summer holidays for children... About this with gratitude to the plant workers , to the veterans of the plant, Viktor Nevolin, the head of the municipality, spoke in a congratulatory speech.

The agro-industrial sector has traditionally developed in the Ramensky urban district. The story is that in 1985, the powerful Ramensky agro-industrial complex was created in the region. It included: three collective farms, 11 state farms, a poultry farm, the Gzhelka fish farm, the Rodniki fur farm, the Russian Research Institute of Fur Farming and Rabbit Breeding, procurement, processing and transport organizations, as well as trading enterprises.

Today, in the urban district, agricultural products are produced by 17 enterprises (large, medium, small) and 28 peasant (farm) farms. About 22 thousand hectares of farmland are under crops. 80% of the area is occupied by growing fodder crops for dairy farming; Vegetables, potatoes and green crops are grown by 20%.

The farms contain eight thousand heads of cattle, of which 4,100 are cows, five thousand heads of pigs and two million heads of broiler chickens. The processing industry is operating.

Over the past five years, eight thousand hectares of farmland have been put into circulation, and another 1,200 hectares are planned to be put into use in 2022.

Ramen residents understand that, despite all the successes in the industrial sector, the main thing is not to stop there. It is necessary to continue to increase the power of industry, and there are untapped opportunities for this.

Investment contribution to the territory's economy provides the opportunity for the Ramensky urban district to invest in social infrastructure. Today there are several projects. Two industrial parks have been created - IP "Chulkovo" and IP "107" in the village of Ganusovskoye. These are industrial sites with fully prepared engineering infrastructure. The construction of a production and warehouse complex (Kalita LLC) for the production of sun protection systems (blinds, protective screens) is already underway at IP Chulkovo. The volume of investments is 350 million rubles.

One of the pillars of the economy of the Ramensky urban district is small business: there are more than four thousand small businesses, more than seven thousand individual entrepreneurs... The service sector and the trade sector are developing. Financial support is provided in the form of subsidies for the development or modernization of business and social entrepreneurship. The Department of Consumer Market and Entrepreneurship Development provides consulting support. The annual exhibition “Ramenskaya Brand” is held, where small businesses present themselves.

The developed master plans for the territory allow us to see the future and pursue targeted urban planning policies related to the creation of the Ramensky urban district.

The task of the authorities and society is to achieve what people expect, to solve the problems that people “stumble” over, striving for new positive changes in the life of the Ramensky urban district as part of the Moscow region, the leading region.

Real estate and areas of the Moscow region

Ramenskoye is a compact and homogeneous town. It is difficult to single out any specific areas here. As in any city, the most significant is the center, located near the station. In the west – Kholodovo. In the north there is the Northern Highway with numerous new buildings and a new stadium.

In the east - Guryev and Mikhalevich, which turns into Doninskoye Highway. In the south there is the center and the station. All administrative facilities are concentrated here. There are no slums in the area. The market is located behind the railway tracks, which is quite inconvenient. Otherwise, all important places can be reached on foot in just 15 minutes.

Famous Gzhel

One of the most exciting excursions in the vicinity of Ramenskoye is a trip to the Gzhel factory, the oldest and largest Russian company producing porcelain tableware, unique in its beauty and unsurpassed in quality. In the production museum, tourists are introduced to the history of ceramics, master classes are held for children and adults on sculpting and painting, which have survived to this day from the 14th century, and they will also show unique exhibits created back in the 15th century, and the world’s largest model of a vase.

Real estate market

Compared to other settlements in the Moscow region, the town is not considered prestigious, which is reflected in the cost of housing. But, despite this, real estate in Ramenskoye is popular and quite in demand. There are cottages at an affordable price. And sometimes one hundred square meters of land reaches $50,000.

Apartments, as in other cities of the Moscow region, are divided by price category, taking into account the layout and location. The most prestigious center - cost per 1 sq. m up to 100,000 rubles. On the outskirts - 50,000 rubles (Kholodovo).

Near the center there are dilapidated housing. The cost of such an apartment is 2-3 million rubles. The town near Moscow is small, as is the range of housing prices. There are many offers for the purchase of country houses in the area. The main buyers of dachas and cottages are residents of Moscow. Nonresidents buy houses to obtain registration.

Real estate in the Moscow region is inexpensive, and the environment is good. The cheapest plots of land in the Bronnitsy area are 30,000 rubles per hundred square meters. In Kratovo and Malakhovka, a modest cottage will cost 9-10 million. The real estate market in the area is liquid. There are many offers on the primary and secondary markets.

The main developers of the city of the Moscow region are Mosoblzhilstroy, Morton. Renting housing in the city ranges from 12,000 to 30,000 rubles, depending on the area and size of the apartment, and the availability of furnishings.

They lived on Ramenskoye land

I received the material for the article from our regional library. And here's what I found out.

Not far from the Trinity Church on Narodnoye Umenie Street, the outstanding Russian composer and chemist Alexander Porfirievich Borodin lived shortly before his death! His beloved and loving wife Ekaterina Sergeevna was sick, and she needed the healing, Ramenskoye air (thanks to the pine trees), beautiful nature, and a wonderful lake. And, indeed, she felt much better, but then the irreparable happened.

On February 15, 1887, at a party at Borodin's, he unexpectedly fell and died. Perhaps his funeral service was held in our Ramenskoye church. His wife did not survive him for long. Her speech became incoherent, drowsiness and delirium did not leave her, and on June 26, 1887 she died.

In the last years of his life, A. Borodin worked on the opera “Prince Igor”, which became the pinnacle of his work. It remained unfinished and was completed by other composers from drafts. Without a doubt, many people of this great opera were born on the shores of our Ramen lake!

Alexander Serafimovich

Many famous cultural figures lived in dachas in Kratovo. Since 1928, the writer Alexander Serafimovich, author of the famous novel “The Iron Stream,” lived here for a long time. Here he wrote his stories, novellas, essays, articles, and raised his son and grandson. His 2-story dacha was built near Otdykh Square, among the mighty hundred-year-old pines.

Marietta Shahinyan

Here was the dacha of the famous writer, Doctor of Philology Marietta Shaginyan. She also wrote poetry in the spirit of symbolism. M. Shaginyan donated her tetralogy “The Ulyanov Family” (about Lenin’s family) to the Kratovo Library with her dedicatory signature.

The outstanding composer Sergei Prokofiev loved to spend his summers in Kratovo. Here he worked on the fairy tale ballet Cinderella. Not far from it was the dacha of the outstanding film director Sergei Eisenstein, the author of famous historical films: “Battleship Potemkin”, “Ivan the Terrible”, “Alexander Nevsky”. The last film features music by S. Prokofiev. Here, in Kratovo, they learned about the beginning of the war.

Another famous film director Mikhail Romm, author of the famous documentary film “Ordinary Fascism,” also loved to relax and breathe in Kratovo’s wonderful pine air.

Valentin Berestov

The famous writer Valentin Berestov lived in Kratovo for more than 10 years (before his death in 1998). His small apartment was located in building 7 on Lengnika Street. He often visited the Kratovo Library and its events. V. Berestov is a wonderful poet, prose writer, and translator. He wrote poems and fairy tales for children about his travels in Central Asia, serious studies about A. Pushkin, memories of K. Chukovsky, S. Marshak, A. Tolstoy.

Famous Soviet composers Vladimir Shainsky and Oscar Feltsman lived in Kratovo, whose hits are known throughout the country. The last one died last year. V. Shainsky has many songs for children (from cartoons).

Alexey Tolstoy

In the village of Udelnaya at different times lived the writer Alexey Tolstoy, director Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, opera singers Leonid Sobinov, Nadezhda Obukhova, writer Mikhail Bulgakov, poetess Marina Tsvetaeva, artists Nikolai Kryuchkov, Arkady Raikin, Gribov.

For a long time in the village of Udelnaya, the main figure of the cultural society, its soul, was Lydia Aleksandrovna Tamburer, a hereditary noblewoman, the wife of a merchant, erudite, loving books and theater. Her big library

Michael Bulgakov

used by many residents of the village. There were two houses in the Tamburer estate - 14 and 15 on Southern Avenue. Marina Tsvetaeva and her sister Anastasia, S. Tolstoy, M. Bulgakov, A. Golubikina (sculptor) and others often visited here. There is a version that it was here that A. Obukhov wrote and first performed his famous romance “The Wicket”!

Marina Tsvetaeva often visited the Sturmers, who rented a dacha at 18 Yuzhny Prospekt. It is possible that it was in Udelnaya that she met her future husband Sergei Efron; his father’s dacha was located on Tsarskaya Street, not far from the church.

Mikhail Prishvin

From April 12, 1940, near Bronnitsy in the village of Tyazhino, the famous writer, traveler, singer of Russian nature Mikhail Prishvin (1873-1954) was vacationing with his wife. He really liked this area, nature, and the people of the village.

Outstanding Russian architects Vasily Ivanovich Bazhenov (born in 1737) and his student and friend Matvey Fedorovich Kazakov (1738-1812) created their masterpieces on our land. A large palace for Count M. Izmailov and the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God were built along V. Bazhenov Avenue in Bykovo. This is one of the few churches that have an oval shape and are topped with spiers.

Matvey Kazakov is the author of the project for the Central Estate of the architectural ensemble in the village of Denezhnikovo. According to the design of S. Eibushitz, a unique wooden church was built in the village of Udelnaya (at the end of the 19th century). It is located next to Udelnaya Square. It was built in just 4 months! The Vasnetsov brothers, Appolinary and Victor, painted its vaults. The latter is a famous artist, author of the painting “Three Heroes” and others.

I would like to mention another woman, a philanthropist, who had great connections with the world of culture. Her correspondence with P. Tchaikovsky alone amounts to several volumes! This is Nadezhda Filaretovna von Meck, wife of the famous Karl von Meck, builder of the Kazan Railway. She was Russian by nationality. And in terms of culture too. They lived in the building where the Strela Theater is now located near Gromov Square. They had a dacha in the village of Udelnaya. Since 1919, the village council, post office and telegraph office were located there.

Of the men, I would like to mention the leader and soloist of the musical group “Lube” Nikolai Rastorguev, who was born in the village of Bykovo, and the founder and director of the famous Bronnitsy peasant choir, Pyotr Glebovich Yarkov. During the war, the choir gave about 500 concerts at the fronts and hospitals of the country. P. Yarkov was an outstanding agronomist (he had his own farm), a journalist, wrote poetry, did a lot of public work, was acquainted with Maxim Gorky, who introduced him to Leo Tolstoy! He was born on our land, in the village of Seltso, and died in 1945. His choir disbanded 4 years after his death. The choir reached a high level of performance, which was distinguished by great originality. 40 records with recordings of this unique choir have survived! I propose to transfer these recordings to discs and then sell or donate them to our choirs. Let them listen and learn how to perform Russian songs! In addition, it is necessary to publish a book with the biography of P. Yarkov, the history of his choir, his poems and articles, and in the village of Seltso a monument to him or at least a memorial plaque should be erected. Memorial plaques should be installed for all of these cultural figures where they lived. I would install a memorial plaque to the also famous singer, poet and composer Igor Talkov on the building in Gzhel where his last concert was held, at which the string of his guitar broke (a bad omen).

I believe that in all regions and cities of Russia, their residents should remember and honor those geniuses who lived and worked on their land. We must also be interested in the creativity of our own, local talents living today.

Bykovo Estate

The Bykovo estate in the village of the same name looks like a miniature English palace surrounded by a park in which about 60 tree species have been preserved to this day. The Bazhenov rotunda and the church in the pseudo-Gothic style were once beautiful. The estate buildings were erected by the best architects of the second half of the 17th century at the invitation of the owner - the Governor-General of the capital M.M. Izmailov.

Nikitskoye Estate

The Nikitskoye estate in the village of the same name was built for General Apraksin, then belonged to the emperor’s relative Alexander Fedorovich. Near the house, the Vladimir Church was built at the beginning of the 18th century, which has been preserved and now services are held in it.

Denezhnikovo Estate

The Denezhnikovo estate, located near the Bronnitsa station, remains in a completely deplorable state. The once amazing architectural ensemble, built in the classicist style, surrounded by a shady park and a pond, is now virtually destroyed. All that remains are the outbuildings, which were put in order by the administration of a nearby factory for a children's camp, and the tower and park require the intervention of garden designers.

Estate Stepanovskoe

The Stepanovskoye estate and the Annunciation Church with it belonged to the founder of the Romanov royal dynasty N.R. Zakharyin-Yuryev, who received it in gratitude for his devoted service to the tsar and the capture of Kazan.
Restoration work is currently underway in the church and nearby outbuildings. The attractions of the Ramensky district are remarkable for their diversity and educational interest.
