  1. You can have a culinary duel. It will be interesting to cook something together. And the family will unite, and no one will remain hungry.

  3. Have a board game day. Fortunately, there is no shortage of games now; you can find those that your parents played, such as lotto or dominoes, and those that will be of interest to the little ones.

Such activities help develop fine motor skills and perseverance. By the way, you can combine business with pleasure - make handmade soap at home in an interesting shape.
  5. Don't forget that your home can become a mini-gym. To keep yourself in good shape, a wall bars, dumbbells and a yoga mat are enough.

Prioksko-terrasny reserve, Moscow region

The most famous project of the Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve in the south of the Moscow region is a bison breeding nursery. It was created in the middle of the 20th century, when the largest land animals in Europe were almost completely destroyed, and only a few dozen individuals remained in zoos. There are currently about 4,600 bison living around the world, two thirds of which are in the wild. This is a unique example of the return of an almost extinct species to nature.

Excursions are organized to see the respectable animals and their touching offspring. Bison are massive and unpredictable animals, so you can admire them through the fence. Moreover, people walk along a narrow road, and bison walk across a vast territory, as if we are in the zoo, not them. In the nursery you will also see bison, sika deer and wild boars.

Prices: adults - 400 ₽; children from 7 to 17 years old - 200 ₽; children under 7 years old - free.

Baltic coast

Those who travel to the Russian Baltic states will definitely visit not only its capital, but also travel along the coast, see Svetlogorsk, Yantarnoye, and the Curonian Spit. For traveling with children, I especially recommend the following two cities.

Kaliningrad

Research vessel "Vityaz" in the Museum of the World Ocean, Kaliningrad / photo by the author
The former capital of East Prussia is fraught with many mysteries and legends. You can return to this city endlessly and you will always not have enough time to see everything. But, if we are with children, we need to show them the main treasures of old Koenigsberg, don’t forget to have fun and take a break from the busy program.

7 best places in Kaliningrad that are worth visiting with children:

  1. Kant Island. The main thing to see here is the Cathedral. Near one of the walls is Kant's grave. After visiting the cathedral (there are organ concerts), you can go to the Fish Village and sit in one of the street cafes.
  2. Museum of the World Ocean. The ticket price includes a visit to the submarine and the Vityaz ship.
  3. Amber Museum. The largest on the Baltic coast.
  4. Kaliningrad Zoo. Near the entrance there is a sculpture with 4 animals: a hippopotamus, a fallow deer, a donkey and a badger. They are the only ones who survived the fighting on the territory of the zoo in May 1945.
  5. Friedland Gate Museum. To it you can add the Bunker and museums in forts No. 5 and No. 11.
  6. Museum-apartment Altes Haus. There you will be transported to the beginning of the 20th century, to the apartment of an ordinary middle-class burgher. Things after the excursion can be examined and picked up. My daughter was kindly allowed to play the piano.
  7. Yunost Park with attractions. Many different attractions, a Ferris wheel with views of the city, an upside down house, a picturesque pond and a boat station will be a pleasant end to your trip to Kaliningrad.

Zelenogradsk

Cat graffiti on the streets of Zelenogradsk / photo by the author
The best coastal resort for families with children. Convenient access to the beach, a wide embankment with playgrounds and panoramic swings overlooking the sea, lovely museums of Cats and Angels, sculptures and graffiti with cats throughout the city. Plus delicious cafes with sweets and ice cream - children will be delighted with Zelenogradsk. The symbol of the city is the fat and important Prussian cat, which is why there are so many felines, real and painted, throughout the city.

Another advantage of this city is that it is convenient to go on a trip to the Curonian Spit from here. Zelenogradsk is the entrance gate to the protected area. The spit begins at the eastern borders of the city.

Where else to spend time with your family

After long walks and activities, you definitely need to have a snack. And in this area, the capital also, of course, has something to offer.

Anderson cafe chain

One of the most popular establishments for kids not only in Moscow, but also in other cities of Russia. This is facilitated by a warm homely environment, vibrant interactive activities in the play area, delicious pastries and a varied children's menu.

"Ribambel"

A vibrant gaming town where master classes and gaming programs are often held. Even the youngest visitors who cannot walk yet can have fun here - there is a playpen for them.

"La Familia"

The menu consists of Italian and Spanish cuisines. But this is not the most attractive thing for children and parents. The restaurant has two rooms where you can leave your little ones to play with the animator or watch cartoons.

Address: st. Bakuninskaya, 69, building 1.

Norwegian park "Orekh", Leningrad region

In a pine forest in the Priozersky district of the Leningrad region there is a rope park “Orek”. Rope obstacles are suspended between the trees - a total of 10 tracks of varying difficulty. This is where you'll test your agility and fitness. Can you walk along one rope while holding onto the other with your hands? What about swaying logs? Do you dare to climb a rope ladder and then fly over the forest on a 200-meter zipline?

The park inspires children even more. Even the most restless ones listen with bated breath to the instructions and try their hand at the training stage. Then they pass a special children's track one and a half meters from the ground. Children with a height of 110 cm or more are allowed on it. Those who are older storm the green “family” slopes, and they often cope with climbing equipment better than their parents. For very young children there is a playground.

Prices: children from 4 years old, height 110–140 cm - 800 ₽ on weekdays and from 1,000 ₽ on weekends; guests above 140 cm - 1,100 / from 1,400 RUR. Read more about prices at the “Orekh” rope park.

Pros and cons of holidays in the capital: useful tips

  • Moscow is a whole range of entertainment and places where you can go with a small child or go for a walk with the children today, tomorrow, on the weekend. But don’t rush to visit everywhere at once in a short time. It’s better to relax and enjoy two or three events than to try to be in time for everything - the impressions will remain vivid, but blurred.
  • Don’t forget that it is important for both kids and schoolchildren to organize their day in such a way that their activity formats change from activity to relaxation and vice versa.
  • Find out in advance where the closest eateries and cafes are to the place you want to visit.
  • Of course, listen to the baby’s opinion. He probably knows what can really interest him.

Rely on our review to understand where you can go with your children, what to do, visit and where to sit with your child in Moscow - you will remember such a weekend together for a long time!

"Kudykina Gora", Lipetsk region

The same case when the question: “Where are you going?” not ashamed to answer: “To Kudykina Mountain!” The first thing you notice in this family park is a wooden fort where you can run around, buy handmade souvenirs and learn how to work with a pottery wheel. The neighboring pond with a sandy beach, generally speaking, was not intended for swimming, but it is constantly occupied by frolicking children.

Animals walk around the large fenced area: next to horses and donkeys there are yaks, buffaloes, camels, ostriches, kangaroos, guanacos and other cuties, which children are delighted with. You can pet and feed him, so grab plenty of carrots, cabbage and apples. Inside the enclosure, right among the animals, they ride in a horse-drawn carriage. Come for the whole day, or even two, if you don’t mind driving to a hotel in Voronezh or Zadonsk or spending the night in a tent in the nearest forest. The only negative: there is little shade, so it is worth taking sun cream and hats for children.

Prices: entrance to the park and children's playground is free; entrance to the fortress - 150 ₽; riding a horse, pony, donkey - 150 ₽; camel ride - 250 ₽.

Location: Lipetsk region, near the village of Kamenka. Driving directions.

Moscow Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard

One of the oldest circuses in Russia, the Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, was founded in 1880. For more than a hundred years, the best artists of our country and the world have performed in its arena. Since 1996, the circus has been named after Yuri Nikulin, everyone’s favorite clown and film artist.

Moscow Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard

At the entrance to the circus you will see an original monument to Yuri Nikulin: the artist gets out of the car, as if he, too, along with the guests, drove up to the circus.

The circus performers will give their guests a real holiday. Here they will see a breathtaking performance of aerial acrobats soaring under the very dome, and the deft tricks of jugglers, and the performance of magicians who can get a whole menagerie and a heap of bright ribbons out of empty boxes, and funny comic scenes of clowns. Each performance demonstrates the skill of the artists and leaves a lasting impression on the audience. In all programs, animals enter the arena. Visitors will see chimpanzees who easily perform acrobatic exercises, funny dogs, bears, cheetahs and even kangaroos. Animal artists are not inferior in skill to human artists!

When the animals perform, all safety measures are taken, so spectators even in the first rows do not have to worry.

Your performances are accompanied by music, light and sound special effects, which makes the performance bright and memorable. Each performance is a small performance that allows you to see all the beauty of circus art. Even if you have already been to the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, be sure to go again, because even in one season the circus performers prepare several programs.

There are buffets for visitors in the circus lobby. Here you can take pictures with the artists or buy souvenirs.

"Experimentanium"

Entertaining is a real museum for the “why”, which presents exhibits from various scientific fields. The most important thing here is that everything can and should be touched, explored, disassembled and reassembled, and learned the nature of things and phenomena.

Each series of exhibits belongs to a specific section: puzzles, mechanics, water, electricity, optics, acoustics, magnetism.
