Any vacationer has ever faced a dilemma: which sea to choose? Where will it be more comfortable: on Cherny or Azovsky? Discos and karaoke do not stop until the morning.
Bars and restaurants are open. Those who choose a relaxing holiday are advised to rent accommodation further away. The central beach has standard infrastructure. Here you can rent a sun lounger and a shade canopy. There are changing cabins and working showers and toilets. Kids can have fun on the inflatable slide and trampoline. Fans of active recreation and water sports prefer to swim in Tatarskaya Bay.
Here the coastline is very indented, making it easy to catch waves. But the approach to the sea is gentle, and the beach is cleaner than the city beach. In general, there are many tent camps and car camping sites in the vicinity of the town. Lovers of minimalism choose wild nature. The main attraction of Shchelkino is the Kazantip Nature Reserve. Ilyich
The village is washed by the Kerch Strait and the Sea of Azov. Those tourists who prefer a quiet holiday away from the crowds of holidaymakers, or families with small children, stay here. Noisy young people are unlikely to come here. Ilyich himself is surrounded by greenery and flowers. There is always a lot of shade on the slightly sleepy streets, which is very pleasant in the heat. The holiday season begins in early May and ends in October.
The sea is always warm, but in June and August it is often stormy. And the air warms up to +26 – +28 degrees during the season. It's a little cooler than in Anapa or Feodosia. But Ilyich is open to all winds. They blow almost always, this is especially noticeable on the beach. The coastal area is strewn with sand mixed with shell rock. You can walk without special shoes.
The entry into the water is gentle, but sometimes you have to overcome large and small stones washed up by the waves. The local market has an abundance of seasonal fruits and vegetables. But you can buy meat or dairy products at the fair, which runs once a week. There is practically no entertainment for adults: 1-2 discos in a cafe on the beach. And children can frolic on the playgrounds built in the village.
Ilyich’s main advantage is the proximity of the Tuzla Spit. Tourists go to it to find themselves between the Black and Azov Seas. Schools of dolphins often swim there. And from Ilyich there is a stunning view of the high Crimean coast, the bridge and ships passing through the strait.
When to go
The season starts early here! Already in early May, the air temperature reaches +20-24, and the water warms up at a Stakhanov pace. By the middle of the month, the water area is heated to +22, and by June thermometers will show +24-25 degrees. Not always and confidently, but often. Thus giving the green light to swimming for people of all ages.

In June, the Sea of Azov is often capricious. And it can pour (albeit warm) heavy rain or scare vacationers with a storm. Which only visually looks like a storm in a teacup - in fact, it is more dangerous than the famous Sochi hurricanes.
It can only hit the bottom, and you will be treating your back for months. Some self-confident individuals are completely carried away from the shore. This is well known, for example, in the village of Dolzhanskaya, a place popular among kite surfers.
By the middle and especially the end of the month it becomes very hot (+30 and above). And, what’s worse, it’s stuffy. The weather is not very well tolerated due to the high humidity.
In July, the probability of precipitation is seriously reduced, and August, according to statistics, is the driest month of the year in Azov. The air temperature reaches +40-42 in the shade; staying on the beaches is possible only in the morning and late evening hours.
Starting in mid-summer, blue-green algae multiply rapidly. And when you go ashore in August, you can sometimes find that the conditions for swimming have changed significantly. Because there is a green “carpet” moored to the shore. There is no danger from the algae, but there is little pleasure either: in order to swim to your heart’s content, you will have to force an unexpected obstacle.
Weather conditions in September are mid-to-mid: you can swim, but it’s unlikely to be on a daily basis. The length of daylight hours is decreasing, there are more cloudy days, the wind is getting stronger, and the nights are getting colder. The water area is rapidly cooling: by the middle of the month to +19-20.
Seven beams
Semibalki are located in the Rostov region. The village is washed by the shallow (in this place) Taganrog Bay. The main attraction of Semibalki is its marvelous beaches. They consist of natural sand interspersed with quartz, glistening in the sun. Surprisingly, the coast is absolutely clean, even in those places where access to the sea is free.
The entry into the water is gentle. That is why the village was chosen by married couples with small children. The guys do not get out of the clean and warm sea for hours. And parents can rest assured: to find themselves at a significant depth, they will have to move too far. But lovers of comfort will not find anything interesting in Semibalki. There are no hotels, guest houses or recreation centers here. You can only live in the private sector. And there are no various cafes and restaurants in the village. But you can agree with the owners to have them cook for an additional fee.
But Semibalki is a real paradise for fishermen. You can fish in the bay or go to one of the nearby estuaries: an excellent catch is guaranteed. And lovers of cultural recreation will be happy to explore the estate of General Shabelsky, a true patriot of small Semibalki. For those who like to swim, this is a major drawback, but for parents with small children it is a huge advantage. The guys feel absolutely calm and do not leave the warm sea for a long time.
The beach in Sennoy is wide and strewn with sand. Sometimes there are layers of shell rock and small pebbles. You can walk on the beach without special shoes. But there is also a drawback: there is a lot of algae in the bay. The waves wash them to the shore, here they decompose and emit an unpleasant iodine odor. True, local residents claim that this aroma is healthy. The city beach has the usual range of services: rental of umbrellas, sun loungers, changing cabins. You can ride a catamaran or jet ski.
Almost all residents are employed in serving holidaymakers. They rent out houses, sell grown vegetables and fruits at the market, and work in cafes and hotels. Kuchugury
A small, calm village on the coast of Temryuk Bay is located far from highways and industries. Holidays in this part of the Azov Sea are ideal for tourists who like to combine swimming, sunbathing and mud therapy.
Beach holiday . The village beaches are covered with clean, shallow places. They have sun loungers, parasols, places to change clothes, toilets and a cafe. Vacationers are offered to fly with a parachute behind a speedboat, ride jet skis, catamarans and banana boats.
3 km from the center of the village, on Cape Pekly, there is a mud volcano. Holidaymakers go there to take baths and make appliqués, and then swim in the sea. Those who like a quiet holiday will enjoy the wild sandy beaches in the area of Cape Kamenny.

Yeysk is a southern port city in the northwestern part of the Krasnodar Territory with many parks, green alleys and shady squares and numerous beaches on the Yeisk Estuary and Taganrog Bay.
Yeisk also has plenty of children's entertainment:

By the way, according to the results of the ranking of the best beach resorts in Russia by the cost of a summer vacation, presented by the travel portal Travel.ru, Yeysk took 5th place.
The initial parameters were vacation during the peak tourist season (second half of July), accommodation - in budget hotels (2-3 stars), location - near the sea and beach area, meals - set lunches in inexpensive cafes, cost of an excursion popular in given location, and the cost of a ticket for public transport, as well as the cost of a transfer from the railway station or airport to your place of residence (but only on public transport). According to these parameters, the city of Yeysk is among the top five budget beach holiday leaders. Here you can relax for 2140 rubles.
All this in general and in general, as well as the formed opinion based on studying a large number of reviews of those who had already vacationed in these places with children, put the final point in the choice. All that remained was to find suitable housing. We were counting on a budget of 12-14 thousand for 7 days for four: two adults and two children.
Preference was given to mini-hotels, guest houses and turnkey houses. I want to say that good options for these dates were, for the most part, already booked. People took care of their upcoming summer vacation in advance. Therefore, they chose from what was left. Although, of course, sometimes the thought crept in: not to book anything, but to go “at random” and get your bearings on the spot. But we were traveling with children. Therefore, the surprise factor could play a bad joke on us in this case.
Choosing housing in Yeysk
Firstly, it was necessary to understand in which area it is better to choose. Because there is sea on all sides: from the east - the Yeisk Estuary, from the west - Taganrog Bay.
We focused on a calm, quiet holiday, so the following were important:
- The sea is within walking distance
- Sandy beach with good conditions for children
- Small number of guests
- Availability of any children's entertainment
- Comfortable accommodation with all amenities.
I’ll say right away that on the first day I was simply confused by the abundance of offers and, after sitting for half a day, I still didn’t understand where and what to look for. A lot of different types of housing were offered - hotels and boarding houses, guest houses and recreation centers, mini-hotels, apartments and private houses.
In order to somehow streamline and narrow down the search area, I decided to understand for myself and try to figure out which area of the city has the most suitable conditions for us. And since the main condition is a good children's beach in the immediate vicinity, it was decided to start by exploring the beaches of Yeisk.
Beaches of Yeysk
As it turned out, there are several of them in the city and they are very diverse: sandy, pebble, shell, rocky and, most often, mixed (sand-shell and pebble-sand).
The main beaches are located on the Yeisk Spit: Central City Beach, Children's Beach, located opposite the Central Beach, Youth Beach, Kamenka Beach. There are also small individual beaches on the coast of the Yeisk Estuary (the area of the second microdistrict).
To make it clearer, let’s look at each in more detail.
Central city beach
Stretched along the Taganrog Bay for approximately half a kilometer. It is considered (according to reviews) the best beach in the city. Clean, the bottom and shore are sandy, a gentle entrance, shallow depth at the entrance and a maximum depth of up to 1.5 meters. The water warms up well.
Lots of entertainment for adults and children. The beach is equipped with changing cabins, paid toilets, there is a rental of sun loungers and umbrellas, and spreading trees provide natural shade. There is a place to eat.
The central city beach is divided into two parts: Central - from the side of the Taganrog Bay and Children's Beach from the side of the Yeisk Estuary. They are located across the street from each other.
Children's city beach
Its length is approximately 300 meters, not a very large coastal beach area. Sand and shell (mixed) shore. Shallow, the greatest depth is 1-1.5 meters. There is a lot of entertainment for children (trampolines, water slides, bananas, jet skis, tablets).
It is an ideal and completely safe place for children. Complete absence of waves. If there are no adults who like to swim in the depths, this is a perfectly suitable place to relax with children.
The central city beach, both for adults and for children, is, according to many vacationers, the best. The only drawback is that there are a lot of people there, and you need to get there early.
At the very end of the Yeisk Spit there is also Youth Beach (here is the maximum depth), but we will not talk about it, since its name speaks for itself.
Beaches of the Yeisk Estuary
They are located in the waters of the Yeisk Estuary on the right side of the city in the form of small sections along the coastline. According to reviews, the most popular sections of the beach are in the area of Nizhnesadovaya Street at the intersection with Pionerskaya, Plekhanova, Krasnaya, Barrikadnaya and Svobody streets.
The beaches that are located closer to the Central Beach are mostly small-pebble, while further along the coast they are sandy and shell-like. The entrance to the sea is gentle, level, the bottom is sand and silt, the maximum depth is up to 1 meter. These are quiet, calm beaches, but, according to reviews, not equipped (“wild beaches”).
Kamenka Beach
If we go down a little south of the Central Beach from the side of Taganrog Bay, we find ourselves on Kamenka Beach. It is a little south of the Yeisk port. The beach stretches for about a kilometer on the coast along the Taganrog Bay. The depth does not reach more than one and a half meters.
The coastal shore is heterogeneous: the sandy beach is mixed with areas covered with stones (apparently, this is why the beach got its name).
On the northern side of the beach, from the port to Rostovskaya Street, the shore is mostly sandy and comfortable. From Rostovskaya and further the beach becomes more and more rocky and gradually turns into pebbles.
Taman
The resorts of the Azov Sea in Russia were glorified by the Cossack Taman. It has become a tradition to hold crowded national holidays here. They are organized by the Ataman ethnographic club together with the local history museum. The celebrations are fun, noisy, and original.
The village is also famous for the extinct healing volcano Tizdar. The beneficial effects of volcanic mud have been proven by many years of practice. The beaches in Taman are warm, clean, sandy and well-groomed.
And although the tourist infrastructure leaves much to be desired, the resort offers vacationers an exciting pastime:

Temryuk city
The city is the regional center of the Taman Peninsula. Thousands of people come here all year round to maintain their health and relax. The reason for this pilgrimage is the accumulation of healing springs and volcanoes in the city. Moreover, some volcanic mountains are active, but it is not lava that erupts from the crater, but a healing mass saturated with hydrogen.

For connoisseurs of delicious wine, the ideal option would be to arrange your holiday in Taman - a place that not only leaves an imprint in the memory as the territory where archaeological excavations were carried out, but also the region that hosts the world-famous wine festival “Taman Vine”, “Wines of Kuban” " They are held in early August.
