In total, there are several dozen bays of different sizes in the bay. Some of them have quite colorful and unusual names. All bays of the Ussuri Bay are listed below:

  • Podyapolsky.

Unique beach in Glass Bay

On the western shore of the Ussuri Bay there is another very interesting bay - Steklyannaya. And it bears this name for a reason. Several decades ago it was turned into a huge glass dump. Thousands of broken bottles of beer, wine, vodka and other alcoholic drinks covered almost the entire area of this tiny cove in a thick layer.

But nature, with this specific example of irresponsible human behavior, once again reminded the inhabitants of the Earth who is the rightful owner here. In just a couple of decades, the sea waves sharpened and polished the glass to the state of perfectly smooth pebbles.

Today, the Glass Bay beach sparkles in the sun with all the colors of the rainbow. And now you can walk on it barefoot, without any fear of cutting yourself on the sharp edges of the glass. After all, they are no longer here. No one! The sea elements eliminated absolutely all traces of human recklessness.

It is curious that today the so-called “Glass” beach is protected by the state as a valuable natural monument. Both locals and travelers from other countries regularly come here to relax and take a series of stunningly lively and vibrant photographs.

Who is a holiday on the Sea of Japan suitable for?

Relaxing on the shores of the Sea of Japan is quite exotic for most Russians. Getting here is not easy, so among other tourists you are likely to meet lovers of active recreation. From the point of view of tourism, Primorsky Krai is a poorly developed territory, but it has enormous potential. There are stunning landscapes, wild nature, a beautiful sea, and a variety of flora and fauna. But it is often difficult to get to local attractions - the infrastructure is not developed. It is also impossible not to note the high cost of local holidays. It is often more expensive to relax in the Primorsky Territory than at classic southern resorts.

However, all these difficulties do not stop those who are ready to discover the Far Eastern sea coast.

So where do tourists mostly go here?

How to get there

To get to Primorsky attractions, you first need to get to Vladivostok. This can be done in several ways.

By plane. Aeroflot and Rossiya fly from Moscow to Vladivostok 2-5 times a day. It's cheaper to fly with Russia. If you are planning a trip for the summer, buy tickets in advance: the closer to the departure date, the more expensive.

By train. You can travel along the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Vladivostok in 6-7 days. Tourists choose the train not to save money, but for the sake of interest and experience. During such a trip you can see almost the entire country and cross 10 time zones.

By car. If you don’t go anywhere, you can travel 9,200 km by car in 12-14 days. The asphalt on the federal highway is good, but the road is two-lane. The route from Moscow to the Urals is busy, so there are often traffic jams there.

Quick acquaintance

The settlement was founded in the second half of the 19th century. Last year, the city of Ussuriysk celebrated its hundred and fiftieth anniversary. Its first inhabitants came from the Voronezh and Astrakhan provinces. Later they were joined by representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora. The city acquired a characteristic Little Russian flavor. Until 1957, the settlement was called Voroshilov.

Today Ussuriysk is considered an important railway junction. There is a locomotive repair plant operating there. The city's architectural ensemble is represented by buildings erected at the end of the 19th century. Archaeological excavations are actively underway in the vicinity of the municipality.

There are practically no attractions. The exception is the monument to an ancient steam locomotive, which is installed near the railway station.
