primo karting

Address: metro station Ladozhskaya, Magnitogorskaya st., 51 Yu Website: https://primokarting.ru Phone: Cost: from 800 rubles/arrival

Real masters of their craft worked on the development of the four-hundred-meter Primo track, who were able to take literally everything into account. Every turn is carefully thought out, every section is carefully thought out. Realism was put at the forefront - any participant will definitely feel like a pilot of the “Royal Races”, fighting for the grand prix, for example, of Monaco, Bahrain or the legendary Silverstone.

Only high-quality materials and components were used during construction. The technical equipment of the route meets the most stringent requirements and standards. And this can be considered an additional point in favor of Primo.

Safety on the Primo karting track is ensured by several factors. Firstly, the entire track is equipped with special bump stops. Secondly, all cards are in perfect technical condition. Thirdly, riders are provided with special equipment. Fourthly, of course, special attention is paid to instruction, which is conducted by a professional instructor.

    Karting Center

Recreational or rental karting (go-karting) is a relatively recent type of active recreation that has appeared in Russia, occupying an increasingly confident position in the entertainment industry.

The fact is that rental karting is available to everyone - regardless of driving skills, age and gender, and is in fact the only opportunity for a “mere mortal” to experience all the sensations of a racing car pilot, while being in absolute safety.

The excitement and thrill that karting gives allows you to get a powerful charge of adrenaline, vigor and positive emotions in a short period of time.

We invite everyone to the Karting School of the Karting Center.

The karting school master class will help:

    • Develop reactions
    • Learn high-speed kart control
    • Learn the rules of the competition and the device of the map
    • Get your first real racing license

Upon completion of the introductory course, graduates have the opportunity to take part in the KARTING SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP, sports kart tests and take part in karting sports competitions as part of the school team.

How to choose a karting club

Almost everyone can go karting, regardless of gender, age, or driving skills. The advantages of this exciting sport are obvious:

    • easy to operate the kart - no professional driving skills required;
    • safety - the car is quite stable on the highway;
    • accessibility - a rental minute is inexpensive in most cases; rental cards, unlike special sports cards, have simple equipment, available spare parts, and low cost.

    Criterias of choice

When choosing a karting club in order to drive like a breeze, feeling like a real racing driver, you should adhere to some criteria.

The first thing to pay attention to is the technical equipment. The safety of movement on the highway depends on this. It is appropriate to clarify what types of cars the karting club uses, what the size of the fleet is, and the availability of mechanics. Good clubs must have karts for children and adults. It’s good if there are tandem karts for racing together. When inspecting the car before driving, you should pay special attention to cleanliness, the absence of falling off parts, and demand an urgent replacement of the kart if it slows down or turns without your knowledge.

Separately, you should find out the characteristics of the road surface of the route, its length, the number of turns, the presence of open and covered sections. If the track surface is dirty, with foreign objects, it is better not to choose such an establishment.

The second important criterion is the level of security. It is advisable to first ask how reliable and strong the fences are, what is included in the equipment, and whether the club has its own medical worker to provide first aid. A mandatory condition for customer safety is the presence of instructors on the track, the optimal number is three people. It is good if the equipment includes all the necessary protective equipment for the rider: overalls, gloves, helmet with a working fastener, balaclava. Children are required to be provided with neck and rib protection. Look at the races from the outside: in a good karting club, children ride separately from adults, under the supervision of their parents, and you will never see drunk clients. This significantly reduces the risk of accidents on the race track.

An important criterion is the price. There is hardly any need to skimp on your own safety. It is better to choose a club that has been tested, recommended by friends, and has the best reviews, even if it is a little expensive, rather than the one closest to home or the cheapest. When announcing the rental price, it is appropriate to divide the cost of an hour of racing by the number of cars provided in order to correctly navigate the prices. Comfort and a pleasant atmosphere cannot be free. When studying the price list, carefully look at the equipment included, the possibility of training, and additional services provided to clients. Many establishments offer seasonal discounts, promotions on holidays and weekends when booking online.

Finally, it is important to know the type of karting club you are going to:

    1. budget, the most affordable - with a short route that does not allow high speeds, several maps, one mechanic, type of road surface - asphalt;
    2. an inexpensive club with an outdoor racing area, a high level of security, and its own cafe;
    3. a premium class club with indoor and outdoor tracks, modern maps, complete infrastructure, a large selection of children's and adult cars, the technical condition of which is carefully monitored by qualified mechanics.

The best clubs have a training system with the function of training pilots for adults and children, starting from the age of 6. For a child to visit a karting track, only a doctor’s permission and parental consent are required.

    Recommendations when choosing

The karting club is ideal for family, friends, and corporate recreation. Here you can have a great time with small children, in a fun company with friends, or a team building tournament among colleagues. But so that the time and money spent do not go to waste, it is advisable to follow the recommendations that are most important, according to clients of karting clubs:

    1. Choose an establishment based primarily on safety and technical equipment, and not on how much a visit costs. It’s better to pay a little extra and calmly indulge in your favorite entertainment.
    2. Take into account the specifics of your arrival. When planning a vacation with children, you need to be more meticulous about such little things as the availability of children's karts, full equipment and additional protection for the child's body, and a delicious menu in the cafe. If we are talking about the arrival of an adult company or a corporate event, choose a club with the appropriate characteristics that ensure a good, fun holiday with friends.
    3. If you do not have driving skills, it is better to choose a club that has highly qualified instructors and the opportunity to undergo pre-start training.
    4. Polite staff, high level of service, professional equipment, friendly atmosphere are mandatory attributes of a good karting club.

    Big Prize

The length of the route is about 200 meters. The combination of high-speed sections and slow sections makes it very technical from a piloting point of view, which allows you to discover and practice the basic skills of driving a racing car. The short length and large width of the track makes it very “workable” - you quickly remember it and hone your driving technique lap after lap.

Particularly suitable for children, it will help novice pilots try themselves in the club’s children’s cars in conditions of maximum safety.

Beginners always start with simple exercises to fully understand the operation of all machine controls. Gradually, with a “sense of wheels”, the racer gains “smart speed”, reaction, and the ability to quickly and correctly make decisions in non-standard situations.

Here the minimum height of the pilot is 140 cm.

The maximum speed on the highway is 50 km/h.

Average speed is 30 km/h. Before the race, all participants undergo mandatory instruction on the rules of behavior on the track. Safety comes first! Each participant is given a helmet - a mandatory piece of equipment. Jumpsuits - optional. In case of rain, protective rain suits are provided.

We reviewed all the indoor karting tracks in St. Petersburg. Which ones should you go to and for what purpose? Where to get adrenaline, and where to just celebrate your arrival in St. Petersburg.

What you should know about the Karting Center

    • Length: 210 meters
    • Number of turns: 10
    • Average speed 25.9 km/h
    • Rental cost (6.5 hp): 5 minutes - 200 rubles, 10 minutes - 300 rubles (on weekends - 280/400 rubles)
    • Website: karting-centre.ru

The go-kart is located in the building of a former taxi depot, and it is quite difficult to find where exactly it is lost there through the labyrinths of the Soviet building, only signs help.

The recreation area is magnificent: excellent decoration, expensive furniture create the atmosphere of a good cafe-bar. Euro-windows directly separate the recreation area and the karting track itself, no sounds are heard, and thanks to three monitors you can monitor the time of the participants. The rental cost is not scary - 200 rubles for 5 minutes on a 6.5-horsepower card.

What about the route itself? After all, it was for her that I had to travel halfway across the city. The racing ring is very wide; two karts, and sometimes three, can fit almost anywhere at the same time.

Unfortunately, at this karting track they don’t even know what tar is; the track is so polished from tires that it simply shines.

The German Rimo frame looks chic - all parts, including the iron bumper, are chrome-plated. In fact, the gas pedals turned out to be too light (weak return springs) - only intended for girls or children. On the broken concrete track of the karting track, my legs involuntarily pressed the pedals due to the bumps, and the gas was released too slowly.

I tried several karts and never found a normal one: one turns well to the left, and the other only turns right. Because of the iron bumper, the karts accelerate slowly for their 6.5 horsepower. For karting, weight is very critical.

The track is best characterized by the maximum and average speeds - 31 km/h and 25 km/h, respectively. This is too slow (for comparison: the Chelyabinsk Kartex karting track has an average speed of 57 km/h). The track consists entirely of 90-degree turns, and for experienced fans of rental karting, this circumstance will be a serious disadvantage.

The body is practically not exposed to stress - the kart begins to slide earlier, and there are a lot of uneven spots on the track in high-speed turns. It seems that the outcome of the competition is largely determined by luck; you can jump on any bump and land with your tires on.

There are a small number of tires along the perimeter of the track, which does not contribute to safety on the track; in the event of a collision, you can fly under them and collide with the wall.

    • great relaxation area
    • very polite staff
    • Lots of telemetry data for data analysis
    • slow slippery track with bumps
    • average condition of karts
    • short track with 90 degree turns
    • There are few safety tires; if you fly out, you can get serious injuries

Conclusion: “Karting Center” is suitable for you if you are going to celebrate your arrival in St. Petersburg with a noisy and cheerful group, don’t count on more.

    Interesting facts about Card Land

    • Length: 150 meters
    • Number of turns: 7 turns
    • Average speed: 38 km/h
    • Rental cost (6.5 hp): 5 minutes – 200 rubles, 10 minutes – 300 rubles
    • Website: kart-land.ru

“Cart Land” is located in one of the tannery workshops. The atmosphere inside and outside is worthy of Dostoevsky's stories. The seating area is huge, but cheaply decorated. Information about lap times can only be obtained by approaching a karting representative. The rental price is the same as at the Karting Center.

Since there is no entertainment outside the karting track, you need to go and ride. In this karting track, as in the previous one, the equipment consists only of a jacket, overalls are not provided.

The surface of the karting track was inherited from the tannery, which became “golden” for the karting business. It is completely rubberized - this means incredible grip between the kart and the track!

Cart-Land has almost new Petrocart cards. They are not like standard karts, they have a narrow frame and a long wheelbase, the engine is not mounted on the side, as usual, but above the rear axle. Competent pedals, precise steering, excellent gas dosage - driving this kart is a pleasure. “Petrokart” once again proved that good things are not necessarily made abroad and have big names.

For example, the biggest problem with most rental go-kart enthusiasts is the seats. Typically, a short, shallow seat will leave bruises at best and bloody streaks at worst.

Here the seat is deep and, despite the monstrous overloads, the body remains safe and sound.

A special feature of this type of kart is its weight distribution, so before making sharp turns you need to let off the gas or slow down at least for a moment , then the front tires get the proper load and the kart turns perfectly. Already in the second race I showed a time only 0.3 seconds worse than the winners of previous competitions on this track.

The track is flat, but narrow, there are practically no overtaking places, and it is also very short - only 150 meters. After ten minutes your head may feel dizzy. The route is planned to be extended soon.

    • great cards
    • excellent grip on the road
    • very narrow short track (temporary)
    • average seating area
    • difficulty overtaking
    • There are few safety tires; if you fly out, you can get serious injuries

Conclusion: if you want to ride on unusual, but fun-to-use karts on a budget, then go to Kart-Land.

    About "Pit Stop"

    • Length: 320 meters
    • Number of turns: 14
    • Average speed: about 52 km/h
    • Rental cost (9 hp): 10 minutes – 500-600 rubles (on weekends – 600 rubles)
    • Rental cost (11 hp): 10 minutes – 650 rubles (on weekends – 700 rubles)
    • Website: karting-spb.ru

The highlight of the review was supposed to be go-karting. The preliminary data is fascinating: the park consists of only 9-horsepower karts, but it is also possible to ride 11-horsepower ones!

The atmosphere of the recreation area is completely saturated with racing, from the Formula 1 calendar to the flags of the DTM teams.

The joy of anticipation was overshadowed by the sluggishness and inattention of the girls at registration. I don’t know what needs to be done to make them notice the client?..

After the first race, they refused to issue a printout with the results of the race, without explaining the reason. I was surprised by the lack of instructions before the start. However, the staff at the track themselves, as opposed to the girls at the reception, were friendly. Equipment may include not only jackets, but also full overalls.

And the technology turned out to be simply magnificent! The 9 HP Rimo karts can be called an engineering example of rental karts. It is convenient to dose both brake and gas. The result was not long in coming: in the first race I qualified for a club license, which stunned the previously not particularly friendly girls.

Club rights not only allow you to get a 30% discount on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can also get advice from a professional karting driver regarding the trajectory and driving techniques and the opportunity to ride on the 11-horsepower Rimo Alpha kart.

A gambling attraction, but the money goes away faster than you can feel the speed of the card. For 20 minutes of rental on weekends, I easily left 1,500 rubles! In any other karting center for this money I would skate for an hour.

The choice is yours, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays there are 30% discounts for strawberries (350 rubles for 10 minutes), and on Mondays the same discounts are given to students.

    • wide and interesting track
    • information board where you can monitor your own results while driving map
    • perfectly tuned maps
    • Possibility to travel in the opposite direction (on certain days)
    • presence of a club (great benefits for club card holders)
    • very high rental price
    • no arrivals for 5 minutes
    • dependence of time on the state of the route

Conclusion: if you have 1-2 thousand rubles and want to ride powerful karts along a long interesting track, then go to Pit Stop.

    About the 11 hp card

The kart is almost identical in size to the 9-horsepower and does not require getting used to in landing.

The engine is started. Which sound? The fact is that the 11-horsepower kart has a muffler of its own design with dual exhaust pipes. Believe me, this kart is worth a ride just for the sound of the exhaust! It’s not for nothing that the center’s employees wear earplugs!

After the first lap, it flashes through my head: “Oh my God, this is a complete blast!” And having already forgotten about the warnings that the tires should warm up, I almost flew into the wall in a high-speed turn. By the 5th minute you already get used to the map and calm down a little. And thanks to the softer and grippier Kenda tires, driving an 11-horsepower kart seemed even easier than driving a 9-horsepower kart on hard tires.

But most of all, the 11-horsepower kart was remembered for its incredible acceleration from slow hairpin turns. Smoothly press the gas out of a slow turn and you are carried away by the wave of the moment. What will happen at 13 hp?

What if we compare the St. Petersburg indoor karting tracks with the Chelyabinsk one? Will he be able to look decent in comparison with those from St. Petersburg?

    "Kartex" (Chelyabinsk)

Review of indoor karting tracks in St. Petersburg

    • Length: 310 m
    • Number of turns: 9
    • Average speed: 57 km/h
    • Rental cost (6.5 hp): 5 minutes – 180 rubles, 10 minutes – 300 rubles
    • Rental cost (9 hp): 10 minutes – 380 rubles
    • Website: kartex.ru

Like most karting tracks, Kartex is located in the building of a taxi park, where you can not only go on foot, but also drive. The recreation area is decorated cheaply, standard windows are unable to muffle the squeal from tires and kart engines.

The kart frames on Kartex have been improved. This frame has both pros and cons. The disadvantages are that the frames differ slightly in size and driver position.

But there are advantages: instead of a heavy iron bumper there is a light elastic tape. Due to this, the card is surprisingly light and fast to overclock. In terms of speed, it is comparable to standard 9-horsepower cards with an iron bumper.

The track is very fast - both technical and smooth. You can immediately lose half a second on a lap by making a small mistake in one of the high-speed turns. When the track is tarmacked, grip is good, although there are some slippery bald spots.

You can choose from both jackets and overalls. The number and size of helmets is limited.

    • difficult and fast track
    • ability to choose between 6.5 and + 9 strong cards (only in winter)
    • light and fast cards
    • average condition of karts
    • lack of information boards or monitors (both on the track and in the rest area)
    • dependence of time on the state of the route
    • few sharp braking, slightly narrow track - high difficulty of overtaking.

In a city with a population of one million, there is no choice of indoor karting tracks. But in the case of Chelyabinsk, we have a decent option.

In the northern capital of Russia, I expected to see an incredible level of kart preparation and the service received. But in reality, not every karting center is worthy of attention...

  • Driftkarting offers a completely new approach to racing. This is the first Japanese-style drift karting arena in Russia. It differs from classic platforms in everything: here you will find new dynamics, special controls, and a non-standard kart format. The cars are created specifically for drifting, so that you feel and understand all the physics of this process. The atmosphere is impressive: the halls are decorated brightly, colorfully, there are drawings on the walls, and there is a lot of lighting. A maximum of three people participate in one race, so Drift is a good option for small groups or families. Both adults and children can ride the original cars. Individual lessons are provided for children, but there is no full-fledged karting school here.

    Advantages and disadvantages

    • New karting format
    • Creative decoration of the halls
    • There can be only 3 pilots on the track at the same time
    • Excellent process organization
    • High prices
    • No karting school
    • Not suitable for a large company

Rental karting (hobby karting, amateur) is good entertainment and a form of active recreation. It is accessible to almost anyone, so most people know exactly what rental karting is. The cars are not equipped with a gearbox and are easy to drive. The karts, like the tracks, are safer than the sports version. They have a stronger frame than sports ones and a less powerful engine, mostly four-stroke. In the worst case scenario, you'll just get stuck.

A modern kart can reach speeds of up to 260 km/h, and the maximum speed achieved by a kart with a jet engine was 407 km/h.
