Against the backdrop of a dozen beaches in the village of Golubitskaya, the central one always stood out as the largest, noisiest and not very well-groomed. In 2018, the situation changed: the territory was landscaped, traders were gathered in one place and wooden platforms were laid so that people with disabilities could get to the water. Now the beach, which is called “Sea Breeze,” is in no way inferior to its “colleagues” owned by holiday homes and hotels, but at the same time remains free, which retains its status as the most popular recreation area in Golubitskaya near the Sea of Azov.

But there are also disadvantages. Reviews note that the sea is often stormy, and the shore, although sandy, is not without an admixture of ground shells. This, of course, is an excellent raw material for building sand castles - there are even tournaments for this activity - but large fragments can cause injury. Walking on the beach barefoot is not recommended.
The cleanliness of the Sea Breeze territory is maintained by the efforts of improvement workers. Back in April, the shore was littered with snags, branches, debris and algae - everything that the sea got rid of during the winter. So it’s better to visit the beach in the summer, when spring cleaning has already been done.

The base has its own well-maintained sand and shell beach, which is accessible to absolutely all guests of the village. The entrance to the beach strip is through the territory of the recreation center, and from this beach you can go to “Molodezhny”. There are excellent conditions for a wonderful holiday on the seashore. There are tents with drinks and milkshakes. Especially for the youngest guests of the resort, there is a swimming pool and a water slide attraction. And, of course, other entertainment.
Infrastructure
The beach is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. There are changing rooms, showers and toilets. There is a first aid station. Professional rescuers monitor the safety of Sea Breeze guests; patrolling is carried out by boat.
The same facilities can be used by people with disabilities who decide to visit the central Golubitskaya beach. The work to improve the site for this category of vacationers was initiated by the prosecutor's office, and local authorities involved businesses in the implementation. Entrepreneurs have invested in specially equipped bathrooms, showers, locker rooms for the disabled, and in wooden flooring for wheelchairs to travel along the sandy shore, and in paving the path leading to the central beach.
The area is decorated with flowers and live palm trees, and there are trash containers that are cleaned regularly. The beach has several areas covered with a white awning: vacationers can rent a sun lounger and take a nap in the shade of the canopy while listening to the rustling waves.

In the immediate vicinity of the amusement park in the center of the village of Golubitskaya there is a good recreation center. And along with it there is a beach with free sun gazebos, and sun loungers are available for rent as standard. There is not much entertainment here, but the coast is clean, covered with pleasant sand and shell rock. It’s good to swim in this place with children, the bottom is flat, the depth is shallow and does not increase rapidly.
Trade and entertainment
Since the summer of 2022, kiosks and verandas of small cafes have lined the perimeter of the Sea Breeze. All trade on the beach is now concentrated here. Sociable vendors offer local souvenirs, beach accessories and traditional household items. At snack bars, you can recharge your energy by ordering freshly prepared food or refreshing drinks.
Entertainment is not inferior to the offer on the Black Sea coast: there are catamarans, jet skis, and a water parachute. There are several attractions for children. There are beach volleyball courts with equipment rentals.
Local festivals are sometimes held on the territory of the Sea Breeze. For example, a tradition is the grand opening of the next beach season. The event usually takes place on June 1st. The entertainment program ends only at midnight.
"Sea Breeze" ("Central")
The most comfortable sections of the coast for a resort holiday begin to the west and along the amusement park.
They are noticeable from afar - “water parachutes” fly out from here, tied to motor boats rushing at amazing speed. In the area indicated by these landmarks, you will easily notice:

When is the best time to come to Golubitskaya
Vacationers agree that the most successful month for swimming in the Sea of Azov is June. With the arrival of summer heat, the water begins to bloom; in July and August there is a high risk of contracting an intestinal infection. At the start of the swimming season, the air temperature warms up to +29 °C, and the water temperature to +21 °C, which is quite comfortable conditions for swimming.

The village is located on the Golubitskaya Strelka, a hilly isthmus separating the Akhtanizovsky Estuary and the Temryuk Gulf of the Azov Sea. Since the end of the 18th century, the village has grown around the farm of the Black Sea Cossack Grigory Golubitsky, who became famous in the battles of the Russian-Turkish war of 1787-1791. Grigory was in the first ranks of soldiers who stormed enemy fortresses, and more than once went on sea voyages on Cossack “seagulls”, which boldly boarded enemy ships. For his bravery and courage, Prince Potemkin promoted the Cossack to officer and gave him land on the Taman Peninsula.
Today, more than 5,000 people live in the village of Golubitskaya. Most of the adult population is associated with the developed hospitality industry. Many private estates rent out separate rooms equipped for receiving holidaymakers. Mini-hotels, amusement parks, and cafes and restaurants have been built in the village. There are several beaches here, and there are rental points for bicycles, pleasure boats, beach and sports equipment.

Natural attractions
On warm summer nights, the waters of Temryuk Bay sometimes fluoresce. Already at sunset, the sea seems to be illuminated from within with a mysterious emerald glow and the surf is decorated with myriads of flickering lights rising from the depths. Algae and microorganisms emit wonderful light. They say that the glow of the sea can be seen from the windows of airplanes flying over Taman, and even from space. On such magical nights, you should definitely take a romantic swim, and you can take absolutely amazing footage with high-resolution smartphone cameras.
In the estuaries opposite the mouth of the Kuban and its numerous branches crossing Taman, sea water is largely desalinated. A special ecosystem characterized by biodiversity has developed here. Having thrown their fishing rods from the boat, experienced fishermen will be surprised to catch river fish from the sea: pike, bream, carp. Moving out to sea a little further from the shore, you can admire schools of smiling dolphins hunting nimble mullet.
After strong storms in the waters of the Sea of Azov, long sandbanks form near the coast, where you can swim and sunbathe. But one morning you will no longer see them: the waves wash away these islands within a few days. By the way, after storms, many gobies appear near the coast. Catching fish for dinner is not difficult, and you can use not only a fishing rod, but also just a mesh net.
Within the village of Golubitskaya there is a mud lake of the same name measuring approximately 500 by 200 meters. This is the crater of an old mud volcano. Its depth does not exceed one and a half meters, the bottom is dense, and the slopes of the funnel are gentle. Tourists and locals take mud baths here. Doctors recommend these procedures for the treatment of joints and skin rejuvenation.
Another natural phenomenon is observed in the Golubitskaya area. Once every few years, a mud volcano erupts in the sea bay opposite the village. At the same time, tremors of a local earthquake are felt on the coast. Underground gases erupt from the seafloor under high pressure, creating a fountain of liquid soil ejection. This pulp rises 30-50 meters into the air. A cone-shaped island grows at the site of the eruption. Waves gradually erode the clay formation, saturating the water with healing substances. The short-lived island disappears into the depths of the sea, but after 6-8 years the process is repeated, and the shaky firmament is reborn. However, scientists have not yet been able to predict the next eruption.
Excursions
The Taman Peninsula is small, so tourists vacationing in the village of Golubitskaya can access any of its attractions within an hour's bus ride. It will be convenient to use the services of private guides offering excursions. They will take you to the most interesting corners of Taman. If you wish, you can explore the surrounding area in your own or rented car.
At the Golubitskoye Estate winery you will be introduced to the secrets of wine production. Tastings are held here, and the wines you like can be purchased in the company store.
An excursion trip to the ethnographic village of Ataman, where Cossack farmsteads and craft workshops have been recreated, will be memorable. Theatrical performances are held there and folklore ensembles perform. The visit program also includes a delicious lunch at a Cossack tavern, where dishes are prepared according to ancient recipes.
Not far from Atamani there is an archaeological location “Hermonassa-Tmutarakan”. The ruins of a Greek polis from the ancient era, as well as the remains of structures from the times of Ancient Rus', were excavated here. Valuable artifacts found by archaeologists are displayed in the showcases of the museum in Temryuk.
The most vivid impressions will be left by a trip to the Lotus Valley. In the famous valley you will see not a land lowland, but a sea estuary with gently rolling hills. The surface of the water is covered with large green leaves, reminiscent of malachite dishes with a pearl-matte sheen. It seems that you can step on them and walk from shore to shore. Above the magnificent green “sidewalk” rise stems with buds and lush blooming flowers, some of them the size of a football. Fragrant petals are painted in a palette of cream, pink, and red shades. The lotus bloom lasts 35-45 days, and this miracle happens, as if by order, just at the peak of the resort season in Taman - from July to August. You cannot pick rare flowers; they are listed in the Red Book. Don’t even try to secretly break the taboo: nature itself will gently punish you. It is curious that Indian lotuses have difficulty taking root in neighboring bays and eriks. Fastidious plants require a special climate and water composition, a weak current, a shallow depth of a warm reservoir, loose silt saturated with certain minerals, covering the bottom. Hydrobiologists have repeatedly tried to create new lotus plantations here, but after a few years the plants died: the young shoots were choked by the thickets of reeds and sedges. Only this estuary with its unique ecosystem turned out to be a suitable reservoir for lotuses. By the way, in our country you can admire these magnificent flowers, growing freely in nature, only on the Taman Peninsula, in the reserve near Astrakhan and in the Far East.
The walk to the Lotus Valley begins from the pier of the boat station in the area of the village of Peresyp, which is 12 km from the village of Golubitskaya. From the local bazaar to the pier you can walk, take a bus or taxi. Motor boats are designed for 12-15 passengers. When all the seats are filled with tourists, the boat sets off. While waiting for the next group of excursionists to gather, you can while away the time - usually 10-15 minutes - under a canopy that protects from the Kuban sun. There are benches and a TV on. For an hour-long walk along the estuary, the boatman collects 500 rubles per person.

On Kurortnaya Street, which stretches along the sea, the main entertainment centers of the village of Golubitskaya are located - the Nemo Dolphinarium, an amusement park with a Ferris wheel. You can spend the whole day at the Sea Reef water park (Kurortnaya St., 76). On an area of 2.5 hectares, guests will find extreme slides, 4 swimming pools, water attractions, and fountains. The children's area has two shallow pools, inflatable slides, and kids ride on pedal cars. Visitors can enjoy two bars, a cafe, and a fast food kiosk. Exotic lizards, turtles and reptiles are kept at the crocodile farm (Sovetskaya St., 149). More than a hundred alligators, monitor lizards, and iguanas live in the enclosures. How to get there
The airports closest to the village of Golubitskaya are located in Gelendzhik and Anapa. Tourists get to the resort through Temryuk. From the bus station of this city (Uritskogo St., 50-B) to the village from 08:00 to 20:15 buses No. 105A run, minibuses No. 105 run regularly. The frequency of departures is 15-20 minutes. How to get there
The village is located 12 km from Temryuk. The nearest airport is in Anapa. It is convenient to travel from Anapa to Golubitskaya by taxi - 55 km.
If you want to use public transport, take the bus to Temryuk, and then take bus No. 105 or minibus No. 105A to Golubitskaya. They run frequently, every 10-20 minutes.
Tourists who travel south by rail take tickets to Anapa or the Tonnelnaya station. From here there are taxis to the resort village - 90 km.
