Sevastopol in battle: in the footsteps of feats of arms and military glory

Warships

The pride of the Black Sea Fleet is its warships. You can see them in the South Bay :

Mine Wall pier: the patrol ship "Pytlivy", armed with an anti-submarine missile system, the "Rastrub" with two anti-aircraft missile systems and two 100-mm cannons, the hospital ship "Yenisei" - snow-white with red crosses.

Coal wharf: “General Ryabikov” is a supply ship for the navy, “Manych” is a water tanker and supplies drinking water.

Berth "Holland": missile cruiser "Moscow" with a powerful missile system "Basalt" - six-ton missiles that can be equipped with nuclear warheads.

If you want to see the entire military flotilla at the same time, plan a vacation with a date - July 27 . On this day, the whole of Sevastopol spends time in the bay of the same name, where warships line up one after another - battleship, landing ships, missile ships and others.

The unusual round building can be seen from afar. On the ground floor, as a preparation for the main thing, there is an exhibition: photos of military leaders, ships. The sequence of events of both the defense of Sevastopol itself and the history of the creation of Panorama has been restored.

But the most interesting thing is on the second floor. You find yourself on a foggy June morning in 1855 and observe the battle in detail. The panorama is mostly painted, but models of weapons are displayed in the foreground, the terrain is restored, and defensive structures are recreated. Without a guide, you are unlikely to distinguish a painted horse from a sculpture - the play of light and the skill of the performers are so good.

The diorama is dedicated to the events of the Second World War, in particular, the fighting in the Sapun Mountain area. On the approach to Diorama, craters from explosions, trenches, trenches, and fortifications have been preserved.

The artists had the opportunity to meet with the participants in the assault and recreate the events of the day down to the smallest detail. Thanks to the short time period between the battle and the sketches of the terrain (only 15 years), the landscape has not changed much, and we see the real reliefs of that day. As in Panorama, everything here is “as is”: people in full growth, and buildings in life-size.

After the inspection, you will go out onto the observation balcony to look at the modern area, which is depicted in the picture and the subject plan of the Diorama. Compare the green lawns, the peaceful city below with the soot and dirt of war, the roar of weapons and the sky gray from smoke.

Now the place is developed and built up, and is also a berth for ships and a parking lot for expensive yachts.

Object 825GTS

A unique building that serves as a base for underwater vessels, equipped with repair docks and utility rooms, including warehouses for storing nuclear weapons. It amazes with its scope and scale. The structure was erected at the foot of the mountain in 1957 and equipped with two exits to the sea for boats. A full-fledged military bunker, equipped to withstand a nuclear attack, was ready to be completely sealed, along with trained personnel capable of organizing preparations for a retaliatory attack. Nowadays there is a museum there, with a huge number of exhibits, interesting for people of all ages. Leaving the facility, you will see the Tavricheskaya embankment, where you can enjoy an impressive view of the city and the cozy bay of the same name.

Genoese fortress Cembalo

Located on the hilly hills of the Balaklava region. Only fragments of defensive structures, towers with loopholes and the ruins of a temple have survived to this day, and many years ago a settlement of traders flourished here, which fell into decay when the Ottoman Empire came to power. Majestic stone structures make you look deep into history, restore past times in your mind, and besides, enjoy a gorgeous view of the blue depths of the sea.

Cape Aya and Fiolent

The name "Aya" comes from the Greek word for "holy". At the beginning of the 20th century, archaeologists found the remains of settlements dating back to 10-15 centuries that lived in this place. This is one of the most colorful and magnificent, in relief and natural terms, areas of the Crimean Peninsula.

The coastal area of Fiolent is formed by steep cliffs, from which a stunning view of the sea surface opens. Under the steep steep slopes of the Crimean Mountains are the best beaches of the southern coastal resort and the most interesting hiking trails.

Night clubs of Sevastopol

Premier is a city nightclub, the main advantage of which is a very long bar counter, which has no analogues in Sevastopol. The dance floor is small, there are many sofas. The club plays good music and it is quite comfortable to be there.

In the art cafe “Madame ShoCo” you can drink a cocktail, eat and dance not only to modern music, but also to jazz compositions performed by an orchestra. Spending time in this cafe is great entertainment in Sevastopol for young people.

Where to go for an evening walk

If today is a wonderful free evening, and you don’t know where to go and what interesting things to see in Sevastopol, first of all go to Ushakov Square. It is here, on the observation deck, that you can enjoy the night lights and feel the warm romance of the sea with a cup of aromatic coffee from the neighboring cafeteria. You will have a beautiful view of the Nakhimovsky district, South Bay and Zelenaya Gorka.

Another picturesque place is the southern pier at the very beginning of the Sevastopol Bay. The road to it is not pleasant and it is better to overcome it by taxi or your own car, but the end point makes you hold your breath from the impressions - there is a dark endless sea all around and the lights of the city flickering in the distance.

Also, hundreds of establishments for every taste and budget open their doors to tourists and guests. The abundance of nightclubs is also pleasing, thanks to which you will always find where to go in Sevastopol in the evening. Take a look at Artishock, where they host parties every day, organize musical performances, and develop colorful show programs that immerse guests in an atmosphere of drive and positivity. “Uru-ru”, in addition to the above entertainment, also offers programs for adults. Where to go for a walk

Head by any means of transport to the Korabelnaya Side - the oldest part of the city, the name of which was formed in honor of the bay, where the first dry docks in Russia were built under Admiral Lazarev. Back in the 18th century, the bay began to be gradually populated by sailors and their families, as a result of which a whole area grew up, which survived despite the city being destroyed twice.

The walking route starts from the street. Roses of Luxemburg, down the cobblestones. At the beginning of the Apollo beam, an impressive tunnel was built under the railway track, there is a boat station with dozens of fishermen and the remains of an ancient water supply system - an aqueduct.

If you change direction from there to the left, the road leads to Ushakova Balka to a wonderful shady park, considered a natural monument, where you can take a walk in Sevastopol. Admiral Ushakov ordered the construction of a recreation area with gazebos and transition paths here. In those days, entrance to the parks was paid and accessible only to the highest ranks. The trees have survived to this day. During the Soviet period, the improvement of the beam was resumed, a cinema and a platform for evening dances were built there, but over time they were abandoned. Now it is a favorite place for city residents for picnics and forays into nature. Returning to the residential streets, you are greeted by 50s architecture with its incredible textures.

You can leisurely walk along the Kornilov embankment, Primorsky Boulevard, enjoying the shallow water of the central fountain and Victory Park.

Bumperball

Bumperball is called football with balls. This is a great attraction that guarantees positive emotions.

To play this game, players need to split into two equal teams of three to five people. The game lasts two halves from five to fifteen minutes, since running for a longer time in bumper balls becomes too tiring. The goal of this game is to defeat the opponent's goal, of course, in a specially designated time. Victory goes to the team that manages to score more goals.

A distinctive feature of bumper ball is that this game requires fouling. You can throw your opponent to the ground, push him, and prevent him from returning to the field. It doesn't hurt at all, because the special impact pad reliably protects players from impacts. You can also stand on your head and do somersaults. Visually, the game is more reminiscent of sumo than football.

There are several variations of this game. You can have a massive battle. To do this, the players are also divided into two groups, and then they go wall to wall. You can do some sparring. Its goal is to overwhelm or push out the opponent. According to reviews, bumperball is not only fun to play, but also to watch.
