Zuevka during the Great Patriotic War

On the very first day of the war, a meeting of the bureau of the district Komsomol committee was held in Zuevka, at which applications from Komsomol members who wanted to immediately go to the front were considered. The first building was located at school No. 37, the second - at school No. 1, the third - at school No. 38. The buildings of three more buildings have not survived, this is the former house of pioneers, the former district clinic (opposite school No. 2) and the collective farmer’s house.

The hospital headquarters was located on Kirov Street in what is now a residential two-story wooden house, across the road from the grain receiving enterprise. Doctors and nurses fought around the clock for wounded soldiers and officers, but it was not always possible to snatch a person’s life from the tight grip of death. More people died in building No. 1, where the surgical department with an operating room was located. Either by chance, or it was deliberately thought out, very close to the building there was an old cemetery where the dead were buried.

Under the influence of wind, they compress and then expand and become electrified. The stronger the wind and the larger the grains of sand, the more interesting the melody and the louder the sound.
